“Came here to leave a review for my experience yesterday. It was probably one of the best pizzas I had. Considering I’ve tried many places in New York I’d say this is an easy second or third place in total. Best in Maryland I’ve had.After reading a lot of the one star reviews it seems as though the main issue was about cleanliness. It seems to me that they have taken these reviews seriously and done a lot to improve in this area. Toppings and pizza were fresh and tasted great. Workers are very friendly as well. It is understandable that they may be stressed with a busy night rush, but don’t let that stop you from ordering.Overall I hope that this place will continue to stay open and strive for a clean and nice staff. My personal experience was awesome.Thanks!“

I love the selection on the menu, always something new to try with the daily specials. La Tomate has great staff and an excellent location. “I worked with Nero to host my company’s holiday party and it was so great working with them! The food was delicious and they have a fully stocked bar with great drinks. The owner and manager were very accommodating and made the night so easy and stress free. I would definitely host an event here again or come back for a happy hour.“

The fact you gave postcard with the receipt as a souvenir and one less thing I'd have to buy on my trip and 2. The service was amazing. I forget what her name is now, but my waitress came over and cleaned off the table of the two or three crumbs of truffle I had and got me new silverware for the second course. “My wife and I had an absolutely amazing evening dining out here on a long weekend trip to DC for our Birthdays. The food was incredible I have not found one dish at this or the Chicago location that wasn’t great. Abagail was simply the best waitress we have EVER had. She was attentive, personable and really went out of the way to give us the best dining experience my wife and I have ever had from top to bottom. We had a great experience in Chicago but I have to say I think the food was a touch better here. I am comparing caviar to caviar here as both were great, but DC has the win here and certainly did with our waitress as well.“

“I was in DC for an education seminar, and our group of six ate dinner here. I ordered the Pappardelle Alfredo and for dessert, I chose the cheesecake, which was the best that I've ever had at a restaurant. It has a hint of lemon, and it was delicious. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and cheerful, which is important to me. I will definitely stop by again the next time I'm in DC.“

“I came here during my lunch break on a weekday. All the pizza options were available and I got the buffalo chicken slice. I don't make that much $, but the pricing was totally worth it. ($6 I believe) The pictures don't do it justice, but if you like NY style thin crust with that grease drip, you'll love this. The crust had that dough bubble that I love, and you could hear the crunch echo throughout the cafeteria. I would love to see some gluten-light offerings in the future but for now? “Gigi’s is one of my absolute favorite spots in Western Market. The pasta is made fresh to order, and you can actually watch them finish it in the pan — it feels like a little chef’s table moment. The radiatore with amatriciana is my go-to. The sauce is rich and perfectly balanced, and the radiatore shape holds the sauce better than anything else I’ve tried.

I always add the veggie topping and extra cheese. The vegetables are fresh, colorful, and add the perfect contrast to the richness of the sauce — it never feels like an afterthought. Portions are generous without being heavy, and everything is consistently good every time I come.

One of the biggest perks for me is the timing: my order usually comes out in about 5 minutes, which is a lifesaver because I’m almost always there with two hungry, picky kids under 10. It’s fast, but still feels like fine dining.

We tried the salmon skewers and a panini, both of which were fresh and flavorful. The salad that came with the panini was crisp and colorful, adding to the meal’s appeal. A highlight here is the cannoli bar—where they freshly fill the shells upon ordering—making for the perfect sweet ending.

“You place your order and seat where you please. We ordered the Lasagna pizza and Garlic knots. The garlic knots were delivered to us. The were awesome 6 good sized knots with garlic butter over them. The sauce was included. It was delivered to our table. The pizza was delicious.Its NY style pizza. I love the crust because it had a crunch on the bottom crust. Make sure to tip because they do bring your food to the table and clean up when you leave. I will return.“
