“I’ve been going to Caribbean Superior since 2016. I’m a regular for their breakfast, patties, and soups. The food quality has remained solid. However their portion sizes are not consistent (and far as protein goes) and have become significantly smaller since May. It’s either raise the prices or make the portions smaller, but doing both is a little crazy and it makes it difficult to continue to be a patron here.“

“Wow, after everything I have heard and the awards this place has received, I had high expectations. My TLDR is that some of those expectations were met, others were not.

I have been wanting to try Dogon for a while, my boyfriend finally got a res for my birthday dinner. The food was great, some of it was excellent (Ben’s Bowl, ugh that sauce!!), our server was helpful and met expectations, but I cannot look past feeling rushed during my dining experience with Dogon. Especially when the booking says to plan to be there for at least 2 hours, reservations are so hard to get, and the staff KNEW we were there to enjoy an occasion. Plates were being cleared while we were not done with dishes, or we still had food in our mouths. We felt rushed eating, we felt rushed to place an order, and pressured to order everything for the table at once. We were going to order a bottle of wine, but we felt there would not be enough time to enjoy it. In total we were in and out of the restaurant in an hour and 15 minutes for a full birthday dinner. I want to make crystal clear that our server was great, and this issue isn’t on one person. It is on the service team and their communication with the kitchen.

My dad was the head chef at one of the most popular restaurants in NYC for a long time, I know what is a reasonable expectation of a high volume, high end restaurant, and what isn’t. Pacing is something the restaurant is in full control of. Dogon should look into improving here. Even with this issue, I would still go back to try more of the menu.“

“Best Jamaican food in the DMW and I have have tried them all. Run don’t walk if you want authentic Jamaican food. You will not be disappointed. The food is consistent and flavorful. I have had the brown stew fish, brown stew chicken, oxtail and curry chicken. All have been outstanding. They have some specials that I keep missing because it sells out by lunch time. I cant wait to try the stew peas special on Weds that they make with oxtails. The owners look like they take great pride to ensure the food is always quality. This is my forever restaurant for good authentic, quality Jamaican food.“

“It’s an almost club like atmosphere with the freshest most delicious food. It is a bit of a wait but it is well worth it because of how delicious the food is and the generosity of the portions. We have done dine in and takeout here and every time it was delicious.“

“This place was recommended and I am so glad we tried it. Healthy food. So many options. I ordered the Jerk Mango Salad. I didn’t change a thing and wouldn’t. Perfect kick without being too spicy. Mango salsa was the best I’ve had. We also ordered the BBQ bowl. I wouldn’t change a thing in it. Try the Red Rice. It’s really good. “I never write reviews. This is actually my first one ever. But I just had too for this restaurant. Came in today with a friend for lunch. We were new to the restaurant and the server took time to answer all our questions with great detail about the menu. Food came out fresh and piping hot. I had the build my own bowl option which was delicious and the portion fed me for two meals. Also sampled the empanadas which were also delicious. Made sure to write down the restaurant name and location as I will be back. Delicious food!!!!! Highly recommend!!!“

“The food is really good the Mac and cheese was my favorite probably because it was unexpected from a restaurant but it really is homemade (like Thanksgiving homemade)!

My only complaint is that the rice was a little hard and the customer service with the checkout personnel was inattentive I’m big on customer service interactions when I’m spending my money somewhere. (Could be I came 20 mins after opening) They were although kind in greeting and departure

Other than that the oxtails were very tender (fall off the boat melt in your mouth type) and meaty avoiding much fat that’s usually with this meal from other places , and I believe the portion were okay for the price. The gravy was well seasoned.

I had the agave vanilla soda with a splash of root bear, IT WAS SO GOOD! Never had it before.

Overall the atmosphere is good , has lots of seating in an open area with a TV, I watched a basketball game as I ate. Music was ofcourse Caribbean music which I enjoyed also.Food was also really hot and ready to serve no wait! Meal Price ~ 27$

“From the moment I walked through the doors to leaving. From the first bite to the last. Oneluv Reggae is five star all the way. My daughter and I eat here regularly and enjoys the meals every time. “This place is absolutely amazing! The food is incredibly delicious. I visited for the first time today and was welcomed with warm, friendly service. Everyone was in great spirits, and the atmosphere felt really positive.

When I mentioned it was my first time, they kindly offered me a sample of curry chicken, brown stew, and oxtail over rice. Each one was full of flavor — so good that I had a hard time choosing!

I ended up ordering the brown stew chicken with rice, cabbage, and a side of plantains. Everything was cooked to perfection. The chicken was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The plantains were fresh off the stove — perfectly sweet and soft.

I absolutely loved my experience here and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend giving them a try!“

“If my husband could eat here every day he would as a native jamaican born in the county im just glad that he has something he could eat today he was suppose to go for the liver came home with smoke jerk pork escovich fish and the liver ate that and then said we going back for dinner lol he said today they were having a fish fry so might go back for more fish and liver. “Scored a spot at the bar for an early dinner, a win since reservations are tough! Beautiful space with top-tier, elevated Caribbean fare.

The Wagyu Oxtail and Crab patties are must-orders with a perfect filling-to-pastry ratio. The Fire-Grilled Branzino was deboned and cooked to perfection, we paired it with the macaroni pie. Despite the Saturday rush, Roberto provided excellent service. Can’t wait to return!“

“I will say my first visit was decent with Kia and her service skills are absolutely fun while being helpful. I did not get the round ball that I ordered but I came out with a lot of food and drinks. However the LARGE Oxtails was very lacking on amount vs the price point and plantain is a separate purchase instead of a few pieces on the meal. The Akee and Saltfish had 2 or 3 dumpling underneath so very little ackee and Saltfish for that price. The Jerk Mac and cheese was on the almost stale side. I wasn't fond of their brand of Sorrel as it had a weird after taste. Didn't like either the fruit nor the other rum cake but those are not their fault as they are prepackaged options. The gentleman there was helpful in packing my huge order but sadly I won't be returning. Money spent there vs value was very lacking.
