“Dodah's on Marlboro Pike, in District Heights, Maryland is finally open, y'all! If you want some good vegan food, you all better get your behinds over to Dodah's Kitchen. This teriyaki cauliflower and this sweet kale salad are delicious. I can't wait to go back to try the teriyaki chicken sandwich made from oyster mushrooms and the chickpea salad. They also have vegan fish, crab cakes, and a whole list of other deliciousness. The owner, Edwin, is a really nice guy and very accommodating. So Google their menu and head on over and get you some. I'm so glad they are starting to invest in restaurants like this in our area. Thanks, Edwin, for your hospitality and serving some good vegan food. The portions they scoop into your bowl are quite generous and the chicken and steak shawarma were both tasty. I grabbed a chocolate chip cookie as well which was quite good. It was literally 100 degrees that day and after we ordered a man walked through the door about to pass out from heat exhaustion. He was clearly down on his luck. The lady who worked their acknowledged the gentlemen when he walked in and ask was he ok. He responded yes he was ok but wanted to get out of the heat for a few minutes and was it ok if sat down for a few minutes. She responded yes and gave him ice water. She then asked if he was hungry and the man said yes but he didn’t have any money right now. She told him that she would buy him a pizza and not to worry about paying her back. As I sat and ate while watching their interaction, it filled my heart with joy watching the compassion being shown to a complete stranger. I will for ever be a fan of this place as long as that lady is still working there!“

“Today is 02/01/2025, 2:18 pm. I went there to get Bolillos, there was a family who had taken all, about 20 pieces, when the fresh got out, they return all the bread they already had to get a fresh bread (thats what they said) they asked an employee if they can change it and the employee said: if you want. That is a nasty thing to do because they had already manipulated the bread and now someone else will take that bread. The owner should educate the employees that no bread should be returned once a customer already touch it. Other than that I recommend this place but that was a very unsafe ans unhealthy thing to do.“

“I order platters every December for our amnual Xmas party work. I ordered 6 wing platters and 9 full racks of ribs on xmas eve. The order was over $500. Everything was good. The only thing not 100% but still acceptable were the mild wing platters which could've been browned a bit more. Co workers ate hearty and good. They did good“
