“The food is really good the Mac and cheese was my favorite probably because it was unexpected from a restaurant but it really is homemade (like Thanksgiving homemade)!

My only complaint is that the rice was a little hard and the customer service with the checkout personnel was inattentive I’m big on customer service interactions when I’m spending my money somewhere. (Could be I came 20 mins after opening) They were although kind in greeting and departure

Other than that the oxtails were very tender (fall off the boat melt in your mouth type) and meaty avoiding much fat that’s usually with this meal from other places , and I believe the portion were okay for the price. The gravy was well seasoned.

I had the agave vanilla soda with a splash of root bear, IT WAS SO GOOD! Never had it before.

Overall the atmosphere is good , has lots of seating in an open area with a TV, I watched a basketball game as I ate. Music was ofcourse Caribbean music which I enjoyed also.Food was also really hot and ready to serve no wait! Meal Price ~ 27$

Do yourself a favor and skip those gross burnt bean chains with sketchy customer service where you feel like you're interrupting them as they forget your order. IYKYK.

Instead, head over to family-owned Lot 38, opened and operated by the sweetest folks who know the Navy Yard area well. Corner of L and 2nd SE on the same side of the street as the lobby of the Courtyard Marriott and across from the park.

The espresso brews fresh and the coffee drinks are consistently a 10/10. Lot 38 has breakfast and pastry options, both breakfast and lunch sandwiches too if you need a bit more filling bite with your brew to start the day's adventure. One of the friendliest places, this shop is always hopping and a fun community atmosphere. Even when it's packed, there's not a long wait for drinks or food. If you come by long enough they start to know your name and drink order. Good place to pop by, a nice (CLEAN!) place to meet up with your friends, or come by for a tea or coffee pick-me-up at the tables upstairs.

“I’ve now dined here for dinner and brunch and both experiences were top notch. I’m impressed with the commitment to healthy foods and preparation throughout the process. The menu was intriguing and we enjoyed all of our selections. From the focaccia bread to the beets to the fennel salad and fried meatballs, the appetizers were delightful. The raviolini and beef heart bolognese pastas were remarkable too! My hubby loved his veal and the I forgot to mention all the fun mocktails (kids tried the elderberry and I enjoyed the homemade ginger ale)! “I’ve been craving fish and chips for days and this place did not disappoint. Queen Vic offers delivery via Toast and doesn’t charge an arm and a leg like DoorDash does. I got the fish and chips & Tikka Masala delivered. I live 35 minutes away and the fish still arrived crispy. Large portions for the price, I had left overs. Only critique is that I wish my order came with some malt vinegar packets, and a side of curry sauce would be a great. I’d 100% come back and sit down to eat.“

“My Family and I stopped here because we love Greek food and heard this was authentic Greek food. First thing I tried was the calamari appetizer, as we are from Louisiana and love our seafood. The calamari hands down was the best I have ever had. The texture, the flavor, everything about it was fantastic. You can get that kind of quality in a 5 Star restaurant. Next home made fry’s, absolutely delicious. Don’t left me forget the Spanakopita, first time hearing it and eating and also fell in love with it. I had the Big Fat Gyro lamb, as well as my son and wife. Again another fantastic dish. Full of flavor and the size of these are huge so you’re getting a great deal. My wife also order a platter of Souvlaki and a Gyro platter as well for us to try. Completely delicious. Hands down such a great place. I will definitely be coming back my next trip. “Pho VN One in Laurel is hands down one of the best Vietnamese restaurants around. The pho is incredibly flavorful rich broth, tender meat, and perfectly cooked noodles every single time. Their portions are generous, and everything tastes so fresh.
The staff is always welcoming and attentive, and the service is quick even when they’re busy. I also love their spring rolls and iced coffee they’re the perfect combo!
