“Well worth the wait!! I was in Forestville decided to check out Yumyums Smokin Grille. I had peeped the menu before walking over to the truck, but once getting there it was too many choices.
I got the seafood mac and cheese, plenty of seafood, but a little spicy to me (not a deterrent), plain wings (fried to perfection, great taste and proper breading), seafood rolls (OMG!!! Indescribablely delicious). The yum yum sauce is definitely a great complement to the rolls. Lemonade was an added bonus. Cool and refreshing!!! Service was awesome from the young man taking orders to the chef apologizing for the wait. I definitely don't mind waiting when the food is good!! There was enough for me to share with my daughter.“

“Went there this past weekend and tried them for the first time!!! Was greeted soon as I walked in. A tough bag lady that was waiting for her order said I had to try the seafood Mac and cheese and she wasn’t wrong. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 The good brother running the store also let me try a few other sides. All were amazing so I had to choose but I wanted to try all of them. I got the vegan drumettes, with the vegan ribs, seafood Mac and cheese and the collard greens. All tasted AMAZING!!!! I also ordered the mint tea and the ginger tea. Amazing. This was the Newark, De location on Main Street. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks for hospitality and the great food.“

“Mita is a really wonderful small course vegan restaurant. The courses were varied and interesting and all excellent. I'm having a hard time picking my favorite but the various breads and dipping sauces were amazing. A really fun place to go for special occasions.“

“Amazing! The sushi tasting menu was exceptional and filling! Delicious and whimsical cocktails. Bar in the back, very hip and chic workout being pretentious. Wagyu beef skewers from the bar was one of the best things I’ve ever had. All the skewers were amazing and the fried chicken and other bar snacks are classic bar foods, but way elevated- can not wait for the rest of the space to open!“

“Went to Kitchen +Kocktails for the first time last night. The decor was very nice, and the music was good and not obnoxious. Our server Ally was terrific! I’m not a drinker, so when I asked her if there were any cocktails that didn’t taste like alcohol, I thought she would look at me like I was crazy, but she didn’t! She seemed to know exactly what I was talking about and immediately had a couple of suggestions. I went with the mixed berry lemon drop and it was perfect for me. The crab cake appetizers and shrimp and grits with lobster tail entree were amazing. We had a great time and we’ll be back!“

“The best vegan dining experience I’ve ever had, and “I’ve been around the block”. From the time I walked in the door and was greeted by the hostess, from the server, the sommelier, the food, ambiance- everything was perfect. The food was unique, and delicious. (even my non vegan friend loved it) however, the presentation and service is what put the cherry on top. Just a one of a kind dining experience that will be very hard to top.“

“I stopped in with friends before a event Sunday evening. The staff was warm and welcoming. I had the lentil sambusas and a peanut-infused coffee at the staff’s recommendation. The food was fast and delicious- the sambusas were warm and spicy, and the peanut coffee was delicious! In a kind gesture, the chef sent over a sampling of sushi to our table. Fresh and refreshing, the sushi was a nice complement to my sambusas and hot beverage. I’m not on this side of town often, but now I have a reason to come back.“

“Amazing dishes. Chive cakes, marigold, Laos wine, the butterfly and hummingbird were delicious. The presentation on the pla tong ma was almost as good as the flavor. Aim helped us choose our dishes and provided excellent service.“

“First time visiting DC, after exploring the city and carrying a toddler who was all set to throw tantrums the moment we sat to dine at Jab we met, the staff and the manager of the restaurant impressed us with their sweet and kind gesture by offering a cup of mango lassi and other treats to calm down our little bundle of joy who was bubbling with a lot of energy and excitement of being at new place and surroundings. The lady was really courteous and the food was great 👍 We enjoyed the meal and a bunch of thanks to the lady, manager and the whole staff of Jab we met👏 Thank you 🙏“

“We had an early dinner before attending a performance at the Ford’s Theater. We made reservations through Open Table and were immediately seated upon arrival. The service was great. Our server recommended several dishes that we loved. There were abundant vegan and vegetarian options. Chilorio de Res tacos were mouthwatering as were the Hongos en Milto ones. In fact, every dish we ordered was delicious. One dish (chilaquiles) never arrived from the kitchen but we were pressed for time so we opted to have it taken off our bill instead of waiting for them to prepare it separately. Dessert, Cafe de Olla, was phenomenal. Pics are only some of the items we tried. Great atmosphere for date night and a milestone birthday celebration. Highly recommend.“

“Dining at Albi was a special experience. We were lucky enough to book the Hearth table and watched the kitchen interact and prepare the food. The warmth and hospitality of the staff, not just with the diners, but with each other was sincerely heartwarming. Every dish was amazing and there was not a single thing we disliked. My personal favorites were the crab, dates and lamb with cinnamon. This is probably one of my favorite Michelin experiences and Albi deserves all the accolades given to it and more.

Edit to add: they had the best morning after goodie bag of all the Michelin restaurants!“

“Walked in… No reservation… seated quickly and as soon as I spoke my food was on the table… LITERALLY!!! Weam was amazing! The service was beyond exceptional… the manager DeShawn was keeping the ship tight and running smoothly, the food is definitely a 10/10 and that mimosa tower was towering…. Milk and Honey is definitely a Vybe… I highly recommend you visit it if you haven’t as of yet… I FORSURE will be back!!!!“

Recommend the meat combo with honey wine, it's a must, and baclava for dessert, which is served warmed like a piece of pie. Shewa is a fantastic little getaway for great Ethiopian food that seems as yet untapped.“

From the quick phone call, answered by Lily, who cheerily said she could accommodate our party, to our amazing waiter Joe, the delicious food, wonderful atmosphere; this place is a DO NOT miss! “I haven't been in a minute. However, from the locations that I did visit- New York Ave NE and N Veitch St, the staff, service and food is worth return trips! The Cauliflower Steak is my favorite but I am also a fan of the Greek Potato Salad. I have tried the Confetti Bowl and there is another bowl similar to the Confetti Bowl that I am not recalling at the moment. Y'all need a location in (around) the Navy Yard-Ballpark area!“

“When I first moved to Capitol Heights, I assumed that I would have to travel far for vegetarian/vegan food or make it myself. And how surprised was I that there was a vegan restaurant down the road! Each day the menu changes, so you could have a favorite every day of the week. And the portions! You can make SEVERAL meals out of one dinner. Is it cheap? NOPE! But something that's good for your body AND soul shouldn't be.“

“First visit; I went for Restaurant Week. I ordered the chicken corn chowder, the short rib ravioli and the caramel cheesecake. The chowder was excellent, a great balance of corn and chicken and a goodly amount--but not too much--pepper. I loved it...and a very generous portion! The ravioli was super too--cooked to perfection, stuffed to capacity with cheese, accompanied by a nice hunk of well-seasoned and -cooked short rib. I wasn't able to finish it, so I took some home. I took the cheesecake home too and ate it after a couple of conf calls. Just the right amount of caramel with a couple of strawberries and a creme Anglaise sauce. Scrumptious!! I don't remember many occasions when I've loved all three courses of a meal, but that was certainly the case tonight. I can't wait to go back.“
