“Dodah's on Marlboro Pike, in District Heights, Maryland is finally open, y'all! If you want some good vegan food, you all better get your behinds over to Dodah's Kitchen. This teriyaki cauliflower and this sweet kale salad are delicious. I can't wait to go back to try the teriyaki chicken sandwich made from oyster mushrooms and the chickpea salad. They also have vegan fish, crab cakes, and a whole list of other deliciousness. The owner, Edwin, is a really nice guy and very accommodating. So Google their menu and head on over and get you some. I'm so glad they are starting to invest in restaurants like this in our area. Thanks, Edwin, for your hospitality and serving some good vegan food. Very busy during workday lunch, but staff was very kind despite it being hectic.Chill and nice atmosphere.Gender neutral restrooms.Ordered the brussel sprouts with egg, such a filling dish! I was there solo while in town for business, and they had two options for single diners, at the bar or the kitchen counter. I sat at the counter and got to watch the pizzas being made fresh. “Had dinner before the Oh He Dead concert on Saturday December 17, 2022. We arrived a little before our seating and immediately were greeted and taken to our spots. Ian was outstanding! He was attentive, descriptive and helped create a good experience. Dan, our bartender, was magnificent. He created delectable cocktails and we also chatted along the way (we had bar seats which I highly recommend). This was very reasonably priced, we left very filled and happy. I want to give the highest possible compliments to Ian and Dan. The entire experience was perfect, largely because of the great food, but they took the experience well beyond a 1 star evening!“

“Every dish we had here was delicious, starting with the guacamole. The medium spice had the perfect amount of spice and it was super fresh. The camerones and trout dishes were my absolute favorites, seasoned to perfection. Even the veggies on the trout dish were amazing. I also enjoyed the brussel sprouts. We didn't mind it, but it can get kind of loud in there so if you're looking for a romantic vibe, this isn't it. They only seat about 20 people at a time in their space, so I would reserve or come early. We came as they opened and were seated as a party of 5.For food, LOVE the brontosaurus! The broth is excellent and rich but too too rich, nicely smoked ribs, excellent selection of side veggies and the noodles had a great texture. The noodles in the mazemans were the same noodles as the brontosaurus, but the mazeman has no broth and so I prefer the brontosaurus. The ribs in the brontosaurus could’ve been more tender but I still loved it overall! Pork buns were good as well. Beautiful presentation and great taste on all! “Nice cozy place with delicious fold. I had the chicken heart appetizer and the Northern Noodles as main course. My wife had the Crispy Chicken. The noodles were probably the most flavorful curry Ive had in a long time, I just wish there was a tiny bit more noodles and protein, but it was great either way. It's a little hard to visit here especially with their hours but every time I can make the trip over to DC I always make an effort to come here. Their food stays consistent and service is incredible. It's amazing to watch how in synch the entire team is and they have an open kitchen where you can watch the staff make the endless bowls of ramen! The karaage is a MUST-TRY it's so incredibly crispy on the outside but perfectly juicy on the inside. It's also paired with a yuzu dipping sauce and it brings the chicken to a whole other level, 10/10. My favorite ramen is the Spicy Tonkotsu because it includes a house made chili spice that really brings a nice kick to their traditional Tonkotsu broth. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu because each type of ramen is so incredible in its depth of flavor.“

Oyster Oyster has such a carefully crafted menu for vegans and vegetarians alike. The only element that is not vegan is the oyster they serve as one of the tasting elements. Other than that, it is truly a vegan person's heaven. So much fresh vegetables cooked in ways I literally could not have dreamed up. The Gnocchi mushroom dish served with the broccoli bread was my absolute favorite part of the menu. The bread was served with marigold butter that absolutely blew my mind. Do yourself a favor and also try the Non Alcoholic tasting menu to accompany your dish as it was such a great way to get more fresh juices and tonics to accompany the meal. We were also late on our res. due to easter traffic and finding parking around the place but the host was very accommodating and nice. We got the chef’s choice and everything was amazing! Super fresh and the flavors all worked really well together. I also got the cucumber mocktail which was really good! “I really enjoyed my experiences at the The Walrus. They have fresh shucked oysters, the Wally's are the house oyster and they were very good. I think I tried every fresh oyster and there were some excellent options that I thoroughly enjoyed. I also had the lobster roll togo and it was loaded with lobsta. They crab cakes were ok, but they are not using fresh local crab meat. The service was fantastic, it's what had me return, a great experience! The great fresh oysters were also a draw for me.“
