“Let me start with the “Star” and that is TIFFANY! She did a wonderful job coordinating with my husband an anniversary surprise!!! Thank you! I had told my hubby I wanted to go to the restaurant as I follow Michael and Brian. My experience did not fall short at all it was fabulous! Of course I was totally surprised and Tiffany had arranged our seating perfectly we had a beautiful window view. The food was AMAZING. We both selected filets which were cooked to perfection, the shells and cheese were creamy and taste delicious. We had broccolini that had a great sauce. The mashed potatoes were to die for buttery smooth …can I tell you the Parker House rolls made us feel naughty they were so yummy 😊
. Everyone who served us was great…with the exception of our main server. I cant really put my hand on it but if we had to describe we would say he wasn’t very interested in us. Out of the couple of times we saw him he seemed to rush to other tables to provide great service to other guests, a bit strange but it did not take away from our experience and we are definitely returning to try the other menu favorites.. “If Fort Washington handed out championships for comfort food, Bangkok Golden Thai would already have a dynasty.

This has become our family’s go-to Thai restaurant, and at this point, it’s not just our favorite Thai spot—it’s one of our favorite places to eat, period. The real shocker? The prices are reasonable enough that returning feels less like treating yourself and more like making responsible life choices.

The star of the meal was the lard na, which is easily my favorite thing on the menu. I’ll admit it: when a plate of noodles arrived swimming in brown gravy, I had questions. Those questions disappeared after the first bite. The noodles were incredibly soft and comforting, and the gravy was rich, savory, and packed with flavor. It was the kind of dish that makes an entire table go quiet because everyone is too busy eating.

We also ordered the crispy pork with vegetables, crab fried rice, papaya salad, Thai iced tea, and mango sticky rice. The crispy pork was another standout—perfectly crunchy and a great contrast to the softer, saucier lard na. The crab fried rice was excellent, and the papaya salad was fresh and flavorful, but consider this a friendly public service announcement: ask for it not too spicy. The menu may call it a level 2, but that salad clearly has its own interpretation of numbers.

The Thai iced tea was smooth and refreshing, and the mango sticky rice delivered exactly what dessert should—happiness.

What I also appreciated was that there were plenty of vegetables throughout the meal, which helped balance out all the comfort-food goodness.

Final verdict: the lard na and the crispy pork with vegetables were the clear standouts, every dish delivered, and Bangkok Golden Thai has firmly secured its place in our regular rotation.

“This is a nearby spot and couldn't be happier if it were any closer I'd be there everyday. Mama is the sweetest woman so hard working and very kind. The food is made with love and is worth every cent it's not expensive but it's worth every dollar. My favorite dish is jerk chicken, white rice, cabbage, and plantains with a side of coco bread?“

“I’ve only gotten delivery from here so I can’t speak to the location but WOWZAS is this a delicious (and affordable) vegan spot!! The mac & cheese is super creamy—melts in your mouth. “Dodah's on Marlboro Pike, in District Heights, Maryland is finally open, y'all! If you want some good vegan food, you all better get your behinds over to Dodah's Kitchen. This teriyaki cauliflower and this sweet kale salad are delicious. I can't wait to go back to try the teriyaki chicken sandwich made from oyster mushrooms and the chickpea salad. They also have vegan fish, crab cakes, and a whole list of other deliciousness. The owner, Edwin, is a really nice guy and very accommodating. So Google their menu and head on over and get you some. I'm so glad they are starting to invest in restaurants like this in our area. Thanks, Edwin, for your hospitality and serving some good vegan food. “Love this place! Dinner is always 10/10 but service, we had Alena or elena and she was just the sweetest young lady and she knows was shes doing, and she was honest too with her recommendations! We always have a tuna and oysters! Then steak this time we shared the cowboy ribeye and added scallops which by the way is not on the menu but elena said they could do it and it was delicious!! 5 star service“
