“My usual go-to Wendys. Always get served amazing and delicious food.

Several notes I will add, service is pretty good BUT I asked for spicy nuggets and sometimes will recieve normal crispy nuggets, which isn't too bad but definitely not what I asked for.

Atmosphere is pretty nice and clean most of the time, although I do prefer the style back during the 2010-15s.

Overall, definitely not a terrible location. Would come back over and over again!”

My experience with Imani and Amina will be the reason I return and tell my friends to go. Their storytelling, command of the menu, and easy approach to creating an elevated dining experience did not go unnoticed.

Meatball and porkchop were a hit in tenderness and flavor, while the cabbage and pudding were a hit in dynamics and design. Major shout out to Amina for bringing over the perfect wine pairing to complement our porkchop—on the house.

“Finding a Filipino restaurant isn’t easy. So learning about Purple Patch thru Jo Koy—has ended this search! Literally, Filipino cuisine heaven! The restaurant is uniquely decorated, the staff were friendly, & the food hit that major comfort button for us! Thank you Zahara for being so sweet & a wonderful waitress. “Went here last night for the first time and loved it! We got super lucky as walk-ins and managed to snag a table (the chef's counter at that!!), but they were otherwise fully booked, so definitely make a reservation, especially on a weekend night. The place is tiny and super cute. The staff, from the host to the cooks to the bartenders and servers, were all so nice. I kept saying the place had such a relaxed vibe. Even though they were totally full, no one seemed stressed or in a hurry, and it was just really nice. They have a few tables for groups, but I think it’s the perfect spot for a two-person date night. We liked everything we ordered, including the heart of palm salad and the hen. But the real standouts were the tapioca cheese bites, the duck croquettes, and the 10 oz steak. The caipirinhas were great—mine (the original) was nice, and my husband got the passion fruit flavor, which was sweeter and he loved it. The chef was also super kind and offered us complimentary bread and a shrimp dish. Everything was excellent, and I’m already looking forward to returning and trying more of the menu!”

“First visit; I went for Restaurant Week. I ordered the chicken corn chowder, the short rib ravioli and the caramel cheesecake. The chowder was excellent, a great balance of corn and chicken and a goodly amount--but not too much--pepper. I loved it...and a very generous portion! The ravioli was super too--cooked to perfection, stuffed to capacity with cheese, accompanied by a nice hunk of well-seasoned and -cooked short rib. I wasn't able to finish it, so I took some home. I took the cheesecake home too and ate it after a couple of conf calls. Just the right amount of caramel with a couple of strawberries and a creme Anglaise sauce. Scrumptious!! I don't remember many occasions when I've loved all three courses of a meal, but that was certainly the case tonight. I can't wait to go back.”

“I've been to almost every cocktail bar in DC and OKPB's drinks are the best. Just as importantly, service is consistently welcoming/accommodating and unpretentious (a real rarity for cocktail bars). The wait time is inconvenient but it's just because OKPB is amazing and everyone wants to go (plus space is small). Plan on a significant wait (45 min - 1.5 hrs) during prime hours. During your wait, head over to the raven, Marx, la tejana, or suns.”

“Many people have described this place as the best pizza in DC. While it is good and definitely has that classic NYC style, it was not five star pizza. I got the Classic Pepperoni signature pizza with burrata and hot honey - very tasty.

I got it for takeout which may have also contributed to quality of the pie. A really nice touch was that they put the buratta and hot honey on the side, which kept the pizza crispier while I brought it home.

I hope to try a fresh slice at the restaurant someday soon. They have lots of selection between their own creations and the classics. If you are in DC and craving pizza, give them a try!
