“The genuine article. As seen on any travelogue to DC. Fantastic food and fantastic place.I’m so glad I came. Definitely will go again next time I’m in Washington. It was busy but they have it down to a science there so you will be in-and-out if that’s what you’re looking for. We just sat at the bar for it before the Caps game.“
“Family time, good service didn’t wait long for food and it was great! I’ll admit it’s a little on the pricy side but it’s definitely worth it!Kid-friendliness: My kids had fun eating and watching games, also had nice decorations around the restaurant“
“As someone with dairy and egg allergies, I was extremely grateful for the many vegan options on the menu. We came our first night in DC and had the delicious vegan nachos and vegan BBQ “chicken” bites and I was beyond impressed. We had such a great experience that we came back again…. And again while we were in DC. Everyone in my family (vegan and not) raved about their food and our service was phenomenal. Add in the great bookstore attached that the kids and us enjoyed while waiting for food and this place is a must go. If you’re a beer lover, try the Busboys Haze and you won’t be disappointed.“
“Ive been coming here for years. Whether its for drinks, dinner, a show, or a date (or all of the above), the atmosphere, food, and service is always spot on. Last night, I got the Chophouse burger add jalapenos (med well) with OB tots. Burger was seasoned and cooked perfectly, tots were hot and crispy. Bangin.“
“Very good and super knowledgeable about gluten. The tots are fried in their own frier and they knew the sauces I could get! Delicious and so so good! I got the loaded tots and while my husband loved his Mr Briggs he couldn’t stop eating mine too!“
“Stumbled upon this Gem on a cranky and bored night! I happen to have rolled into a rock a concert! I was with my girl and we just needed a spot to chill and hold a vibe. The concert was great!! The energy that circled the air was amplified and transcending! I downed 2 beer and out of no where a guy offer to get us some shots! We returned the favor. It turned out to be an epic night of music and great bar service along with some good craft beers. I'm dying to return so I can get a bite to eat since I've heard good things about their menu. Also wouldn't mind another rock concert to attend in the future..“
“This place is awesome. Food is delicious and affordable. The staff here were also fantastic. The two I interacted with (Brandon and Fahrik) had great personalities. They were warm, friendly, and very funny. They kept us well stocked on drinks. Definitely will be returning here when I visit DC again.“
“Cracked Eggery in DC is a breakfast adventure. The team here is not just serving dishes; they are serving smiles, The spotless setting makes for a serene breakfast nook, perfect for savoring their inventive menu options. The menu, it's a treasure trove of innovative takes on breakfast classics, ensuring that both the adventurous foodie and the comfort-food seeker leave satisfied. For a morning meal that ticks all the boxes great service, cleanliness, creativity, and variety.“
“Was in D.C. for a week and I am not exaggerating when I say I ate there every day. This food is some of the best I’ve had in a long time. It’s the main reason I know I’ll miss being in the area. The fact that it’s so good sensitivity-friendly meant options for foods I can never get otherwise, and I’m so bummed that the closest one is 10 hrs away.PLNT Burger, I’m begging of you to make a location in Atlanta. We have lots of Whole Foods here and I’m sure your restaurant would thrive in this area. You guys rock and MAN do y’all make the best food.Vegetarian options: It’s all veganDietary restrictions: Gluten free and soy free options“
“Great place to hang out with friends, play games, and snack over drinks. I’m not a beer person but I quite like the beers here. Good vibes in here - good music but not so loud you can’t hear people. I’ll be coming back for future game nights!“
“My favorite place in the broader neighborhood! The staff are friendly and attentive! The food is consistently good - everything on the menu is good, my favorites are the ribs platter, Gouda burger, steak and cheese, wings, blackened seared tuna app, and great fries too. I, and other friends, go out of our way for the hand-dipped chicken fingers (a staple pickup for take out since I live nearby). In addition to great selection of beers, they always have NA beer selections too, which I get when coming with the kids. They love the nachos, wings and kids menu.Kid-friendliness: Seating indoors is all high-tops, so low-tops are on covered patio. Good kids menu w/crayons. Never a problem with tables during non-peak hours, but if a big game or something, do the best you can.“
“Some of the best burgers and fries I have ever had at a restaurant. You would think anyone could make a burger but they are easy to mess up. These are massive, all of the ingredients were fresh, perfectly prepared and portioned.Live bands on Friday nights to add to the atmosphere. Drinks were also very unique and creative.Parking: In a small shopping lot with other stores but one large shared parking lot. Big enough area out front to park and run in for take-away.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with plenty of options.“
“The much-anticipated sister restaurant of Purple Patch opened just a few weeks ago and I'm already hooked! It's a lovely addition to the neighborhood, offering a simple menu with a lot of flavor. The wagyu burger is nicely balanced, and depending on your appetite you can get a single to a triple patty. The ube soft serve with coconut is such a hit and the flavors are perfect. It's been really busy for good reason, so you might have to wait in line especially on really nice days, but service is pretty fast and they also have an order online link. Enjoy the outdoor seating on a nice day! Indoor area is small but very pretty, and stools with counter-style tables lining the interior. Very kid friendly as well as they have a kids' menu,' tables, and neighborhood kids' art on the walls. You can also purchase a few Filipino snacks like v-cut chips and boy bawang (garlic corn nuts), and they also have some canned non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages available. With the addition of Joia Burger, the owner Patrice really shows how much she cares about the Mount Pleasant community and is invested in it. It's a great spot to swing by for a quick meal and friendly faces!“
“Really wish I could give this place a better rating! The people running the place were so nice and friendly — and it’s a great local establishment. Our rockfish sandwich was fine — but we had two catfish sandwiches, and the breading on both was just too salty. Maybe we got a bad batch, so I’m willing to give the place a second try!“
“We drove down from Delaware for dinner. Awesome food and service! Famous Darien was super attentive- kept drinks filled and was very pleasant. We met Rob (GM) while there. He was also professional and welcoming and helped us as we are planning a private event at home. We’ll definitely.be back!!“
“On the Wharf strip bouncing from spot to spot, and we “luckily” we stumbled into Lucky Buns. Cool seashore themed decor, friendly staff, and upbeat music. Plus, the drinks strong and tasty. Definitely worth paying a visit even if it’s just to grab a drink, or two, or three ?“
“We always choose Johnny's All American to showcase a lively neighborhood bar to our clients. The decor, paying homage to the owner's grandfather's army service and community involvement, is truly impressive. Witnessing a person's legacy reflected in the intricate details on the walls and artwork adds a special touch to the overall experience. It's a unique and meaningful atmosphere that resonates with both history and community spirit.“
“Me and my partner are regulars here and the entire team is awesome. The servers work their butts off to give you the best experience, and the food is consistent every time we go there. It’s a gem on Main Street, and everyone should go. Happy hour is great and happy hour food options are on point.“
“I tried PLNT Burger for the first time this evening and I’m so mad that I waited until the very last week of living in my neighborhood to try it!!!!!! So delicious! So flavorful and delivered the chargrilled taste of a proper burger … and yet it was plant based! Definitely on my top 5 vegan/vegetarian list and I CAN’T WAIT to try the every item on the menu. Well done PLNT Burger team! ♥️“
“Wife & kids came here for a concert & loved every bit of the experience! From the food to the bands & the bartenders . I had to work and could not attend ? so I guess I missed out on a great night.Kid-friendliness: My kids loved this venue. Can't wait to come back again. There are lots of artifacts to keep the eyes busy.“
“We went here last minute for a Saturday brunch. We sat down as soon as we walked. Food was good. I got the sizzling steak and peppers. My friend ordered the French toast and said it was the best she had had. I don’t recommend the pancakes they turn into mush. Overall great place and definitely recommend. Service could have been better as they were not busy and we felt like they forgot about us at times. Check out more reviews by Taste to Takiya!“
“I had the mushroom Swiss with the rosemary Parmasan fries. The overall meal was great. I love the lightly toasted fluffy bun and the sear on the burger. The fries were amazing!! Great combination with flavors that explodes in your mouth! I ordered mine through door dash for work, I wish I could have dined in to experience the atmosphere.“
“Every time I go here the food and service are great. Z Burger offers way more than just burgers, so I can switch up my meals depending on what I'm in the mood for. Also, they run promotions from time-to-time, which are great. Lastly, the portions are huge! So its good value for your hard-earned money.“
“We got gluten free dough for two pizzas, the mushroom and margherita pizza. My god these were good. I personally do not go for gluten free items, but my friend with me could not handle gluten. We both agreed that this was the best gluten free dough on a pizza we'd ever had. Really did not expect it.“
“Best Philly cheesesteak sub!!! Seasoned very well. I wish they had toasted the bread so it wouldn’t be soggy but it tasted great. Also got the burger supreme, and that was very good as well. French fries were good. Their soy garlic wings are also good. I just wish that it came with blue cheese instead of having to pay a dollar. I’m already paying $16 for 10 wings!! But AnyWho, the food was good. 10/10“
“*I was welcomed when I opened the door. The menu looks good. Eventhough the students are rude, service was smooth. There was a lunch special. The staff seems ro work well together. I did see a frequent buyer program. The root beer cant be bear. I will be back once a week at least.“
“The best burger and fries I've gotten since moving to MD. Definitely will be back. The I went there was only one employee working but he did an amazing job. I had to wait a bit to get my order taken but the food was brought out to the table rather quickly. Both the burger and fries were extremely fresh. The produce was fresh, lettuce was crisp, tomatoes were ripe and had good flavor, and the grilled onions were a nice touch. I will definitely be back.“
“A nice place for a char broiled burger. The portobello add-on was great. Lettuce and tomato were fresh. Cheese options are constrained to American and White American... Nothing gourmet, thin patties...they get the burger job done and are tasty.“
“Jaime took care of me at the Silver Spring location. I came in for breakfast and I loved the breakfast burrito. It was a huge portion, reasonably priced, and the ordering system was casual and low key. I loved being able to put on my headphones and hangout and honestly really enjoyed the “doghaus tv” that had extreme sports like bouldering, white water kayaking, etc. I would totally come back.“
“I was introduced to Z Burger by my sister, who praised it as a fantastic local burger joint. Intrigued by her recommendation, I decided to experience it firsthand, and I must say, she was absolutely right! The service was exceptional, and the food arrived promptly and was deliciously fresh. The portions were generous, and the establishment was impeccably clean with accommodating staff. I sampled a variety of items, all of which were excellent. While the prices are slightly on the higher side, the quality of the food more than justifies it. Z Burger has definitely won me over, and I look forward to returning. My only request would be to bring back the seasoned fries.“
“Went here yesterday the food was amazing! The appetizer 108 ROLLS ARE THE BOMB! Also had the chicken wings and pizza they were fantastic! The bartender Andy made great drinks and great atmosphere and the locals and owner are very friendly!Definitely be back when in town!Thank you for such a great hospitality!“
“This has been a regular stop on our travels for years. The food and service are consistantly good. Our burgers are, indeed, always grilled right. I love the unique monthly shake flavors, though wider straws would help keep the larger fruit bits from clogging it, or just being stuck at the bottom. We do miss the character tables, though!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a cut curb to the sidewalk in front of the shopping center.“
“I have never eaten out so much in one week I can't help it I got to go to Pizza Castle for lunch everyday even if I have my own lunch from home but their food is fresh the customer service is amazing I recommend this place I recommended you will not regret it at all Best place to eat their wings is the best The pizza also is the best I just love their food“
“Theres a really big Junior in class of 2025 who plays public school ice hockey and he got hooked on five guys when his parents got him a lot of stuff from it. Now he only eats five guys so I would really gladly appreciate salad being apart of the menu in the next 2 years even though that's a franchise decision. He truly needs a salad.“
“Good greasy-diner fare, a wide assortment of sandwiches, pretty good grits (they sell out early), and reasonable prices.I miss the Phillipina "general"; that adorable, sweet, tough little (maybe five feet) lady made that place zoom.I'm too old to have the pulled pork sandwiches anymore, but they were wonderful in the '90s and aughts. The 'slaw complemented it perfectly, a crisp crunch and sweet undernote for the smoky tang of the sauce on the tender pork.[At this moment, I am Homer Simpson: head back, eyes closed, mouth agape, drooling.]I think I am trying to say they were dee-lish.[My car sales buddies-- Dodge/Plymouth/Pontiac-- from the mid-'90s, d'ya recall Saturday lunches? We ordered from here at least once a month. It was so enjoyed, it was often more frequently.]Vegetarian options: There might be a can of V8 in the fridge, and they have grits. Other than that, not much.“
“This is a really cool lowkey spot on the u street corridor. It's located downstairs which gives it a speakeasy kind of feel with brick walls, wooden decor, and a small bar surrounded by a few small tables and even a nice little fireplace towards the entrance. I came here for a friend's networking event but the staff was so friendly and accommodating to us, they helped with decorating, and even with such a large group they did a good job of handling the large volume of drink and food orders. They have a daily happy hour (even on weekends) from 4pm-8pm in which they feature $4 well drinks or shots, beers or margaritas for $6. In regards to food they provide $4 fries, wings and even some combo options like a classic burger or wings with a beer for $14. I decided on trying the burger combo (also comes with fries). The food came out fairly quick, the fries were solid and the burger exceeded my expectations given the price point but it was cooked well but not overdone and flavorful. All in all definitely recommend giving them a try whether it's for a small group meetup or a more intimate outing.“
“We had a party of 50 (soccer team and families) that called the night before for an 11:00 reservation. Management was super accommodating, set us up in a private area and had a well orchestrated plan to provide us with top notch service. Kudos to the team at Greene Turtle!“
“Friendly service, delish food, clean, reasonably priced.Cry and Fry is the way to go!For some reason, the lids didn't fit very well on the fountain drink cups???Parking: It's a bit of a mess, very busy, tight corners, creative use of the fire lanes“
“Went here for happy hour with a co-worker. We got there like 8 min before happy hour was over but sat at the bar for at least 18 min before even being acknowledged and at that point, it was too late for us to do happy hour (go figure). We each just had a beer and got Mozzarella sticks to share and I must say they were surprisingly good. The reason for my good ratings is bc we ended up getting the Mozzarella sticks taken off our check (to make up for the happy hour ridiculousness).I would recommend this restaurant for tastey cheap food but remember it's a burger joint not an upscale restaurant so the service is just ok.“
“The truth is that it is a place with good food, soloq.deverian will improve customer service.Parking: The area is a little busy and the truth is that if you spend too much time in the restaurant you can get a surprise when you get to your vehicle, so if I maintain the food is very good so I'm not complaining.“
“Stopped by the new New Jersey Avenue NW DC Z Burger. The chicken cheesesteak with "two" cheeses was excellent & generous. The onion rings were awesome there. Everything is fresh, and the staff is unusually friendly and helpful. I can also recommend their 75 flavors of milkshakes (I prefer strawberry). The store was spotless. Street parking was easy, but DC has parking meters not to be ignored.“
“We went to celebrate Leap Day!! Have always wanted to try it and finally did. Read reviews before going but we found it pleasant. We had reservations at 8 so it was pretty quiet by then. Had a seat by the fireplace. Very nice vibe inside. Can’t wait to go back when the weather is nice to enjoy the outdoor patio. Our dinners were tasty and service was good.“
“Beautiful building, exterior, and interior. We went for our leap year date. Hopefully, we will be back before the next one and for the next one. Pork chops are great. Lobster ? ravioli is very good. Prices are not outrageous. The service was very good.“
“Best burger in town. It’s not a joke.Perfect cook, amazing flavor. I ordered the first one and I suggest my friends to try it! After finish I ordered the second one. Amazing again.I spend $50 including tips. 2 burgers 1 wine glass which was very very good ($6).“
“5 Guys is a great choice for burgers because they are delicious and usually in a convenient location. Went there for dinner and was in a rush but my food came out so quick! Everything was fresh and delicious. The cashier was also very pleasant. They have plenty of seating inside and some seating outside. This location is attached to MPG so parking can be a little tough but nothing too unbearable. I didn't get fries this time but I'm a huge fan of their fries and they always give you so many! If you want a quick and easy burger this is the place to go!“
“Good food costumer service excellent. No complaints here. French fries for days. I love itVegetarian options: FriesDietary restrictions: No only if you are vegetarianParking: Small parking space, usually park in the rear of the restaurant. Please lock your car door. A little bit of vandalismKid-friendliness: Yes, they have a wall where kids could place a drawingWheelchair accessibility: No automatic doors but easy to come in with some help“
“I'm not going to lie. This is probably my 2nd favorite restaurant to go to. The food is really good and like any other restaurants, their small fries are enough to feed 3 people! The orders are fairly quick, and I have always loved how you can get free peanuts whenever and how many you please to get. The only con I have is that their burgers are pretty expensive... to get 2 burgers and small or regular fries, it's like 20 bucks. Otherwise, everything else is great!“
“Great place to grab burgers, cheap booze, and see some awesome bands. Saw a trip of post punk / synth wave / goth acts and it was a really fun and intimate (meaning small and crowded!) atmosphere to catch a show. The food nor the drinks are particularly memorable, but it's really about the overall experience.“
“While driving by recently I noticed that the old building has been torn down and a new building has gone up in its place. At first I wasn't sure whether the new building would be a Burger King restaurant, but I drove by on another day and the Burger King signs were in 3 places on the building so, yes, Burger King will be coming back, just not quite yet.“
“3/2/24 10:13 amI like this location but the heavy set Spanish lady is so rude . A lot of attitude and customer service is way off point. Seeing her here makes me want to cancel my order every time . She slams the window on you while you are talking. Not a good look for a happy customer that love the location and come more than often. I just ask to speak with the manager just to give him some feedback. I really hop that they speak with her about her attitude towards customer .I mean I approached her with a smile and the manager is so nice though. I really appreciate him listening to me other than that I love this location“
