“We were on our way to another place in the area and got stopped by the charismatic owner. He sold us on the live music and menu items. That was all we needed to hear. The drinks were flowing (the bartenders pour to get you tipsy), the food was flavorful and the service was great. We enjoyed everything we ordered and we are tough critics! It was a really cool experience and we will be back for sure.“

“I had the carne asada quesadillas, which were extremely delicious. Sidecar may be my favorite drink there. It was strong so it is definitely a must try. I only give 4 stars because the chairs were a little uncomfortable to sit in as there was no back rest.“

“We came from out of state (NC) and just happened to Google bars around and this popped up. Hands down the best time we had. Luke, the bartender, was funny and amazing. We ended up going back the next day just to see him before we left town. Definitely will be back!“

“I just really enjoyed the music. I'm an upcoming artist myself.. I can see me performing in there one day soon. But atmosphere was laid back. Real cool.. food smelled good but the kitchen was closed. I'll come early and eat. I really tryna to win that $100 gift card that's why I'm telling my experience..but on the real . Looking for a safe, fun place to dance late at night? Wonderland has that covered.
The staff, and owners, who live in the neighborhood, are consistently kind, welcoming, and professional. That is a big part of why this place works so well.
And if you’ve never had the fried eggplant fries, fix that immediately.
One of the best bars in Washington, DC. One of the best spots in Columbia Heights for dinner, brunch, drinks, or a dance party.

“Had a great time here! The place was clean, the hookah was great, and the atmosphere was really nice. Sammy was an awesome bartender and made the experience even better. It’s a great spot to watch the Finals, go on a date, celebrate with friends, or just hang out and have a good time. Definitely recommend checking it out!“

“I went at noon and it was not crowded at all, and it was quiet, a big bonus for me these days. No loud music and people shouting in order to converse over it. The food was very good, very fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant for Asian fusion cuisine and sushi.“

“The bar side really gets its crowd. However the crowd age is approximately 45 and up. Go on the days that it's lit. The left side of the building which is the liquor store has everything you need price very fair very clean and well lit“

“A great place to meet friends for drinks to pre-game or a night out. Depending on the night you maybe able to catch an open bar or drinks specials. Some nights they also have a DJ that plays various genres of music. Bar staff is friendly and place also has a neighborhood feel.“

“One of my favorite places to go. The food is very solid and service/atmosphere can't be beat. Prices don't feel like I'm being ripped off either like much of DC has gotten to. Management is super friendly and great to work with. Always look forward to spending time here with my friends!“

“Loved everything ! Ambience , waitress made accommodations for best view ; great views of wharf, all staff were pleasant and attentive , salmon dish with beans was creative and delicious ; drinks weren't watered down : I was there with 2 sorority sisters with years to catch up on. We talked til closing and we never felt hurried !“

“We had 5:30 reservations which I guess is early, we had no other guests in the restaurant, I'm surprised because the food was good and king street location close to the water was great! They have entertainment at 9:00 nightly so I guess they get a late crowd“

“The Hideaway for those unaware is a true staple in the Clinton MD area. Just happened to stop post for a night cap to close this out. I figured a cool Saturday with pool hall vibes was the go. Little did I know, there was a whole interactive karaoke event going on, and everybody seemed to be in on it, I had no idea. When I tell you... VIBES were had, they were. The bartender Noelle was so sweet, I have her literally half my checking account in tips because she made me feel so at home. Really sweet lady to rock a full bar single handed no sweat. There was a Chef in the back named Shula who was phenomenal with the food. And I thought the DJ was just a lame guy at first, but DJ John was actually lit! Mind you, this is before I could get the first sip down. Very easy to miss, but very hard to forget... The Hideaway.“

“This was my first time there. The waitress took forever to come take our order. When had been there about 30 minutes before the other people who sat at our table came and she started taking their order before ours. I ordered some bacon and cheese fries and they were awful. Put them in the oven to melt the cheese so cheese was hard and fries were dry.“
“Just stopped in to have a drink before the KC and the Sunshine Band concert at the MGM. Got a Japanese new fashion. The Japanese new fashion was a tad bit sweet but well enjoyed because old-fashions is where I live. Cuvasin was well accepted. Hope we can come back and try again because we did not order food“

“My Band has played there a couple of times and Atmosphere as of the environment and the music is nice a crisp. The food is always good but pricey. Waters’s are always good spirited and conversational. Always a thumbs up for me💯💯💯👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿“
