“We had the fried green tomatoes as our first appetizer. They were tender and topped with lumps of crabmeat. Spectacular! Then we had the fried cheese appetizer. I can’t remember the name of the cheese, but it was delicious in the accompanying sauce and olive oil and pesto. All of the dishes we had came out perfect. My filet medallions were so tender,they melted in my mouth. Hubby got the pork loin over mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts and loved it. We will definitely come back!“

“We, had lunch at this location on Nov 10th. The service was very poor and the order came out wrong. The waiter never offered to refill our drinks. We, ended up sending food back and had taken off the bill. I, asked for a manager and the waiter only came back. This was a VERY poor experience. The waiter sucked, They may need new management.“

“We had the most amazing dinner. A particular shout out goes to our server Sandra. She has served us several times and always knocks it out of the park. We felt exceptionally cared for. It was a little cold by our table and they immediately noticed and offered to adjust the temp for me. Everyone who passed by our table offered assistance. We never felt rushed. The birthday and anniversary touches added to the occasion. Overall, there were so many personal touches from the handwritten bday card to the beautiful white rose I received. “My partner and I celebrated her birthday at Ruxton, and it was an incredible dining experience from beginning to end.

The atmosphere immediately stood out. Ruxton is elegant without feeling pretentious, and it’s the kind of restaurant that actually complements dressing up for the occasion. Whether you’re celebrating something special or simply want an upscale night out, the ambiance makes the experience feel worthwhile.

For dinner, I ordered the whole lobster, and I honestly underestimated what I was getting. The presentation alone was impressive—it was served on a board nearly the size of a large wooden cutting board. At around $200, it’s definitely a splurge, but after tasting it, I completely understood why. The lobster was cooked perfectly, incredibly fresh, and so good that I somehow managed to finish the entire thing.

We also ordered the Lemon Butter Prawns, and they deserve just as much recognition. The lemon butter sauce was rich, bright, and unlike anything I’ve had before. Easily some of the best prawns I’ve ever eaten. We shared a side of broccoli, which was good, but with everything else on the table, it simply wasn’t the star of the meal.

My partner ordered the Fried Lobster with mashed potatoes, and they absolutely nailed it. The lobster was fried perfectly—crispy on the outside while remaining juicy and tender inside without tasting greasy. That’s not an easy balance to achieve, but Ruxton pulled it off.

The cocktails were just as memorable. I ordered the Shake & Bake, which I’d describe as a tequila take on an Old Fashioned, and it ended up being one of my favorite drinks from our entire Baltimore food tour. My partner’s dirty martini was also well made.

The service was exceptional throughout the evening. Our team was attentive, professional, and consistently checked in without ever being intrusive. They helped make an already special evening feel even more memorable.

Ruxton absolutely lived up to the hype. While it’s perfect for celebrating special occasions, the quality of the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere has me looking forward to coming back just to explore more of the menu. This is easily one of Baltimore’s premier dining experiences.“

“I took my dad tonight for Father’s Day and it was very busy. We were told an hour and half wait so we waited. From the crew at the reservation desk to the lady who took is us to our table and Evan our waiter everything was awesome. Even with being crazy busy service was great and food was great. Otherwise, we would have missed out on experiencing the service that Shaun provided. Even though he serviced several other tables, he still extended the same amount of attention and care to each of us. His level of customer services was more than just “excellent.” It was “superb.” He made us feel like we were valued and he didn’t miss an opportunity to check to see if we had everything we needed and we were enjoying our meal. If I were hiring, Shaun would be my first selection and he would be used as that model employee to train others on what is expected of them as a representative of the company and what we want our customers to experience. “We had such a wonderful night there for my husband's birthday. Anthony was so polite, accomodating and friendly. Everyone that waited on us was very kind. I just want to give a shout out to Anthony because he went above and beyond. He made us want to go back as soon as possible! We each ordered the prime rib which was cooked to perfection.
