“Very very amazing sushi. The sushi roll had a perfect combination of flavors. The seafood was fresh, the avocado was creamy, and the a crunch of the roll was perfect. The sauce brought everything together with a slightly sweet and savory flavor. Each bite was well-balanced and packed with flavor. I would definitely go back for more & I appreciate the great customer service as well.“

“I rate all restaurants based on how they compare to similar places. This is basically a dive bar vibe with elevated food. Service was great, cocktails were well made and creative and the food was outstanding and varied. We will be back... I suspect regularly! Bonus... Prices a very reasonable. Most craft cocktails are $12-14. The food was also a good value.
Service: 5 nothing fancy... Just efficient and friendly.
Food: 5 Great quality, creative choices. Fantastic 'bar food'.
Atmosphere: 4.5 Clean, comfortable and a great vibe.
Price: 5... Great value. The kind of place that makes you forget about Cross Street (Atlas) and other more expensive places.

“We had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding here a few months ago and it was INCREDIBLE. Everybody raved about the food and drink.
The restaurant buyout minimum was very very reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area. The owner, Sam, would also let us do basically anything with the menu. He worked with the chef to make a custom menu for us based on our needs, dietary restrictions, and what was in season at the time. He also picked out wine for the dinner and created a custom cocktail for my wife for the event because there were no mezcal cocktails on the menu at that time.
The service was excellent, the drinks came out fast, and the food was plentiful.
We've also been here a couple times before and since, and it's been the same excellent experience.
We really could not recommend this place enough, it's easily one of the best restaurants in Baltimore!“

“I dined there for the first time tonight, and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is quaint, cozy, and perfectly decorated. The first two drinks that I got were absolutely amazing, as they were custom-made. We also tried a flight of tequila, which was also very delicious. We both got an entrée each, and got nachos and queso. It was all absolutely delicious. The waitress kept coming back to check on us and was very attentive. Thank you for a lovely evening. “Verandah Kitchen is easily one of my favorite spots and a place I find myself coming back to often. The food has amazing flavor with just the perfect amount of spice—every dish feels thoughtfully prepared and consistently delicious. I am gluten free- there are many options for me!

The restaurant itself is quaint, clean, and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating options that create a very nice, relaxed vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can truly unwind and enjoy your meal.

What really stands out is the service. The staff is always incredibly kind, and the owner is regularly present, making sure everything is running perfectly and that guests are well taken care of.

Some of my absolute favorite dishes are the prawns ghee roast, chicken rista, chicken malai kabab, and the shrimp taco on a corn tortilla—highly recommend trying them if you visit.

Overall, Verandah Kitchen is a gem that I frequent often and would gladly recommend to anyone looking for great food and a chill atmosphere.“
