“I consider Jackie and the crew at Hook & Reel Wheaton to be friends of mine. I work close by and pop in at the bar often. The Happy Hour, which starts at 1PM (yes, you read that correctly) has insanely low prices, and the "pour" on both glasses of wine and cocktails are unmatched. Great ambience, clean as a whistle, a ton of regulars at the bar and a Touchtunes jukebox on the wall to bring your own soundtrack with you. What's not to LOVE about this place? 🍷🍹🥂🍻🦀“

“Another fantastic meal for a special occasion! The food was amazing and the service was excellent. The smoked catfish and pickled andouille sausage appetizers were incredibly flavorful with substantial portions. The cocktails were inventive and the wine selection was excellent. The yellowfin tuna steak was seared and seasoned perfectly and the shrimp po' boy sandwich was the best sandwich I've enjoyed in a while. The shrimp was delicately breaded with flavorful seasoning, the bread was fluffy with some crisp, and the picked vegetables were a great add. The bread pudding was tasty and not too sweet, and the chicory coffee was smooth and delicious. Will definitely be coming back!“

“What an experience! I came from Alabama on a work trip. My fellow employees and I were trying to find a seafood restaurant and stumbled upon this restaurant on a Wednesday. And boy did we hit the jackpot! The food was amazing first off. Second off, we had been wanting to do karaoke and there was a DJ! We sang at the table while we were eating and had such an amazing time. The atmosphere is phenomenal! We ended up dancing on the floor to a few songs before we left 😂 Thank you Hook & Reel for such an amazing experience. The next time we are in the area we are FOR SURE coming back!“

“some of my relatives came from out there f town this past Friday and had the most wonderful time at Monty Alexander performance. Ambiance was great and performance absolutely wonderful in an intimate environment interacting with artist. My husband and I always enjoyed it when visiting this place. She was the mos attentive and accommodating person who understood our situation and made the changes necessary for us to attend event. “First time visiting this restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious. I had the pork chops with gravy ( ask for extra) , collard greens and Mac and cheese. My daughter had the baked chicken with the creole sauce 😋 with Mac and candied yams or sweet potatoes
So Good. Finished with the bread pudding and ice cream and banana pudding for dessert.. did not disappoint. The service with Bridgett was great, attentive, warming and friendly. Food was served timely. Not slow but just right. ❤💯Will come again!!“

“I went to this place specifically for the bourbon chicken as it is a favorite. It was terrible, dry and without any sauce at all. However, the black pepper chicken was great. The fried rice and the mixed vegetables were very good also. The service was good and staff was friendly.“

“What a nice meal! We ordered our meal to go and it took about a half hour to prepare. I got the Ocean Catch #A, which came in a big plastic bag! Perfectly cooked crab legs and shrimp and the seafood legend sauce was very tasty - it tasted like a mix of Cajun seasoning, garlic and butter. I got the mild spice level, which was flavorful but not hot. The potato and corn that it came with were also good. The seafood catches and boils seen to be the specialty and mine was worth the money. My husband's salmon was good but unexciting and would have benefited from some of the same seasoning as mine. It was also a small portion for the price. However, his New England clam chowder was thick and flavorful. My five year old had the fried white fish and seemed content with it. Although we did not eat in the restaurant, it was well decorated and looked inviting - hopefully I will be able to eat there in person soon! On a side note, they also have bubble tea, which was delicious!“

“At time is always had at this place. Great music great vibes. The bartenders are the absolute best I go on Saturdays. They pour great. Lol now I must admit yesterday the server was horrible. It shouldn’t take 30 minutes to bring 2 cups of water and my drink. I’m not gonna blast her on here, but thankfully me and my best friend 💕 were able to speak to the manager and she apologized on her behalf . Also Love Jones is such a vibe super entertaining ‘! They use to remember me back in 2018 when I use to go a lot but now they forgot about me sadly. 10/10 food love it a lot.
