“First time dining from Saladworks. Ordered an Asian crispy chicken salad from the Saladworks Union Market, Washington DC. This salad was fresh and really good, packed with flavor and a nice size. Looking forward to trying other items from this restaurant.“
“Yes, the pizza is good, but there’s more to say. I got the Maverick, which is basically meat lovers with pesto on top. The flavor was good, the crust nice and crisp, but the toppings fell off the pizza very easily. The service was nice and quick. The atmosphere includes a ramp up to the dining and ordering area. The inside is very green and black with a row of screens over the kitchen/ordering area. Overall, &pizza does have good pizza. However, if I’m being honest, Blaze Pizza is just down the street and has better pizza. ??♀️“
“One Michelin star and 2023 James Beard best chef in America. I got the Vernal (early spring) tasting menu, which is prepared vegetarian or vegan. Everything tasted delicious, but for me the pumpkin seed gnocchi with the mushroom ragout really stands out on the menu. The folks at this restaurant really care about sustainability (like having plates made out of pressed used wine bottles). I also recommend the wine pairing. Service is top notch. This is a restaurant you should not miss when visiting Washington DC.“
“We had the best time at KooKoo DC last night. They accommodated a table of 14 for my spouse's birthday and never let us feel like an imposition. The food was so fresh, authentic, and reasonably priced - I did a double take when we got the bill. I even felt like we went all-out with apps, drinks, and desserts! The owner was also so kind - we just felt so cared for the whole time and can't wait to visit again.“
“Nice restaurant, hostess needs to be more polite since we where there with a reservation for 3 GTD and she told us she found it but then she said she found it, food can be better, the server I don’t remember her name but it was Latina Súper friendly and provide us a drinks recommendation.“
“In town visiting my daughter she made a reservation for us. Really cute decor. We arrived during happy hour had delicious potato skins, so flavorful. I enjoyed the jackfruit entree, big serving. Lots of unique choices with many gluten free options. I did not order a cocktail but they have a good variety. Service was excellent friendly, explained items on the menu, pointed out favorites etc. would definitely go back.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free items“
“I had an amazing time at Abuare. After my haircut at the lady clipper next door, I walked past their happy hour sign and gave them a try. They made this amazing sangria from scratch and just happened to have the beautiful pink tulips sitting by.“
“The service was impeccable. The staff were all extremely friendly, kind, and professional. The food came out in a very timely manner and every interaction with the staff displayed the restaurant’s deep interest in ensuring the best experience for all of its customers. We will be coming back again for the amazing dining experience.“
“Another one of those spots I love that has one thing they specialize in, and do extremely well. I had the sandwich and it’s just simple, tasty food, nothing fancy, nothing bad. Everything was the right portion, and I really have no complaints. The fries were also great and seasoned super well. Everything is pretty inexpensive to boot. There’s no space to eat inside so you’ll have to take it to go.“
“This was BY FAR the best dosas and Idli we have had in years! Chef Paul is amazing and he told me he doesn’t believe in catering or delivery because South Indian food is best served hot and fresh and I couldn’t agree more! The Idlis melted in my mouth. The dosas were just perfect - the masala and chutney and sambhar -10/10! Go - no run to this place!“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at elfegne Ethiopian restaurant in d.c and it was a delightful experience. The cozy ambiance and friendly service set the stage for a memorable meal. The Ethiopian dishes were full of flavor and authenticity. I especially loved the injera and tibs – they were cooked to perfection. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, adding to the overall wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend elfegne Ethiopian restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Ethiopian cuisine in D.C“
“What fast/casual place does hand made tortillas?!? Delicious and interesting food, chill vibes/staff, and celiac safe! 11/10, will come back and try the rest of the menuVegetarian options: Tons of options, all of which are incredibleDietary restrictions: Celiac safe!!!! Always great to not worry“
“Stayed at a hotel nearby and found the Hive Bar as we walked the neighborhood. We were looking for something fast and tasty and the pizza did not disappoint!! They were trying out a new menu (for the Super Bowl) so we snacked on popcorn chicken and tatters as well. Tatters are a favorite!!“The” Old Fashioned cocktail was amazing!! Our bartender was an expert and made this delicious drink delicious every time! The bar is accessible, with a bar and tables on the first floor, and an elevator to the rooftop bar. The pizza/food is delivered from &Pizza which is attached to the hotel.Street parking was easy on the weekend.“
“The food tastes very good. I was surprised there weren't more people dining in here, but whatever. it made service very quick. Falafel tastes really good, and I really like how they package up their sandwiches. I do wish the pita was warmed (it seemed cold), but everything else was great. The fries have a unique spice on them which gave it a flavor I never had (in a good way).“
“Delicious food and gluten free options. I do wish the menu online was the same as the restaurant, it seemed there were more options for my friend than there wereDietary restrictions: There were lots of gluten free options, but fewer vegan options than I anticipated“
“Great food and attentive service. Plenty of options for vegetarians across all courses. The noise level gets very high though with a full house. It is not surprising given the cozy ambience of the place but still irks. I will look for a mid-week reservation the next time around and avoid Fridays / weekends.“
“It's been so exciting to see an entirely plant-based concept be so successful and expanding so rapidly and now that I have visited I absolutely see why. This was one of the best meals I've had in a while. My friend and I had been dying to try their plant-based sushi and not only did it blow us away but the other dishes we tried were equally as incredible. Here's what we got for two people. We were quite full and took some leftovers: - ahi watermelon nigiri (2 pieces) x 2: If you didnt know this was made of watermelon you could absolutely mistake it for the real thing. The texture is mind blowing and the flavor is on point. Amazing way to start the meal (and end it because we ended up ordering another round to finish our meal) - unagi eggplant nigiri (2 pieces) x 2: So delicious. Definitely must order. The eggplant is super tender, just like eel. - spicy tuna roll: we ordered the hand roll but I think the server misheard so we ended up with the maki but it wasn't a big deal and i wasn't upset to get to try their take on maki rolls. I think their rice could use some work but this was still tasty! - Dan Dan noodles: incredible. Our server advised us to get the Dan Dan noodles over the Singapore noodles entirely because of the saucy-ness of this dish and he did not steer us wrong. These noodles are drowning in sauce (in the best way) Even though it's a peanut sauce it was perfectly balanced and creamy. The noodles themselves had a great chew and the use of kamut (a grain) in the dish as a substitute for the traditional ground pork was inspired. - bang bang broccoli: broccoli has never tasted this good. I mean it, not only is the broccoli is shockingly crispy while being perfectly cooked through the center, but the broccoli itself tasted so creamy and delicious unlike any broccoli I have had before. And the bang bang sauce is bangin too. All this being said, if you are trying to be choosy and try the most unique dishes, I would probably skip this dish in favor of more sushi. Overall, this was an incredible, unique, and innovative meal and I can't wait to go back to try more of the menu. This is how vegetables could and should taste, if only we put as much love into them as we do with meat. At least the chefs at Planta are listening.“
“The food is remarkable! Everything we ordered, we ordered in the "all Vegan" version; vegan enchiladas, vegan nachos, vegan mushroom taco, vegan butternut squash taco. All this food was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to order from Chaia again.“
“Been ordering food here for a few years and it’s always good. Tried the app and it worked great. The staff are always attentive and polite. I love that &pizza has delicious vegan options - vegetables, plant based sausage and chicken, cheese. I always support restaurants that support vegans!“
“It was a very nice experience I enjoy going there. The food is delicious. I would like to see the happy hour Just to be a little bit longer. Like to have a happy hour menu. Salmon sliders, Burgers, Crabs balls be nice Also it's good to have lower combo meals chicken wings and fries, Fishing chips, And all different types of salads. From your chef's salad to your garden salad. Just my opinion is a very nice spot. I enjoy being there.“
“I honestly didn't expect that much from HipCityVeg, since I've never had a great experience with vegan fast food. But, wow, I was soooo wrong. Everything we got was so tasty. I loved my crispy chicken sandwich! Our non-vegan friend even went with us and thoroughly enjoyed her meal! She was impressed by the chicken nuggets. I was also pleasantly surprised that the food was organic!“
“Had a wonderful experience for the first time in a while at this location! Special s/o to Josh! He was very accommodating and had a very pleasant attitude. The cashier was also efficient and helpful; I didn't get her name, but she was very kind. 10/10!“
“Great customer service, great location, and even better pizzas! We visited for Pi Day and enjoyed the American Honey and a customized pizza. I highly recommend the American Honey!! The location is about a 10-min walk to the Kennedy Center. Stop by before a show!“
“Mild Indian food - fit and easy to try for rookie food explore. Anyway, overall is still tastes good. The highlight is about service, very polite and professional. Price is a little bit more expensive than others because it makes from organic products. Location in downtown Silver Spring- no free parking spot near the restaurant - but there are a few meters parking around and garages are available.“
“I eat there about twice a week. The menu is small, that is, not trying to be all things to all people, and has a Latino flavor. But what is offered is quite good and often not to be found elsewhere on Mt. Pleasant Street. My favorite is the Dos Gringos breakfast bagel, with avocado, tomato and capers. Capers! Where else can I get capers for breakfast? The restaurant is oriented to facilitating conversation and meetings of community activists, as well as helping community artists. I myself have bought art off the wall there.“
“Awesome food and great service. It took a while for us to get the food but the chef did an amazing job. Very fresh chili garlic naan and the lamb vindaloo was sweet and savory without being too spicy. The chef even personally packed our leftovers for us in those takeout boxes. On the menu, they have many vegetarian and vegan options too.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options on the menuParking: Free parking lot and there's parking enforcement (toll truck would come around and ask for people's cars)“
“This is hand down my favorite &pizza. I work down gallery so they have definitely proven themselves. Fee, Blu know my order by heart at this point. Pizza dough are made perfectly shaped with no odd shapes. This is the best &pizza in the “
“Absolutely amazing. Definitely would recommend :)! Kind people, atmosphere was relaxing, and the food was delicious. Great for vegans and non-vegans! We ordered the crab cake, steak and cheese, Mac and cheese, fries, and it was all so satisfying. There is also a co-op next door that is wonderful :)“
“I love &pizza and especially the Hst location. Every week or other week I come in to get a pizza and watch an episode of my show. The staff has always been so kind. It doesn’t matter if I’m coming in for lunch or after a long shift, they’re always so helpful. Big s/o to Alan and Waverley for the great service always. ✨“
“One of our favorite places nearby that has just the right combo of cozy atmosphere, consistently good food, friendly staff, and heck, they have a glass encased wall of beer. They have an eye on all their guests.I know people have their own preferences for injira, but we like the taste, texture, and soaking-up ability of theirs. We like the crispy beef tibs - combo of the roasted tomatoes, onions, and beef is very good. We usually get the veggie combo platter and the meat and veggie combo to satisfy the whole family of four, plus a meat dish. The lamb is tender and delicious as well. We try a new dish each time and they have all been delicious so far.I had an unfortunate run in with their salad that came with the combo, so maybe unfairly, I usually shy away from that.Parking is sometimes tricky, depending on the day. There are parking lots nearby and street parking. On some evenings cars are double parked as the street is popular. This is a restaurant that is confident and comfortable with their food and are happy to share it!“
“Such helpful and friendly staff!!! The food was delicious and large servings. We have gluten and dairy restrictions and the staff was so helpful to help us create a meal that was healthy, safe and tasty!! Thank you!! 5 stars!Dietary restrictions: We are gluten and dairy free and there were plenty of options!“
“I ALWAYS choose this &pizza to get regular cheese pizza for my daughter who loves pizza so much, and vegan nots or a vegan cheese pizza for my 2 1/2 year old. This &pizza location is always welcoming and kind. They are all quick and great with service. I always receive satisfaction that leads me to leave a tip. My food outcome is on point most of the time if not it does get put on point. No problem. Because of this locations great serivce and welcoming spirit I choose &pizza 80% of the time when pizza is chosen for dinner. If the &pizza that is closer to me had this &pizza's service and welcoming spirit, I would always 100% go to and pizza for pizza. Here to you all at Eastern Market &pizza!!! You all are great, thank you for always making me and my children feel special on our visits, much love!“
“A favorite lunch spot with great deals texted right to your phone. Super fast with online ordering ,and always a parking space around back for a quick lunch run when you need it. Thanks for continuing to save me from the "hangrys" on a busy work day.“
“First time having a salad from Chopt. Visited the 7th Street location while in DC and absolutely loved the salad ?.Quick Service, Made to Order and Served with care! One of the best salad I have had in a long time and the portion was enough for lunch and dinner“
“We were starving after the ill-fated attempt to Beat the Bomb (See review). Too tired to walk the mile or more for full restaurant fare that didn't require reservations, all the places nearby were just bar food. And though i don't mind bar food...we wanted something else Honestly: didn't even know MoMs had eat-in-store options. I'd only been to the one in White Marsh, and it doesn't Cutting through the store headed to the elevator to the parking garage, we saw "this": the Naked Lunch And thought. Hmmm. Quick. Healthy. Non-bar. Why not? All vegetarian, vegan, lots of raw, veggies, and legumes, grains, and fruit and vegetable juices! Sooo glad we did! 2/4 of us frequent the establishment so we followed their lead I got the moolah bowl and a friend got a juice made of all kinds of fresh stuff. She said it was THE best fresh juices juice she'd ever had. Unfortunately they were out of both avocado and mushrooms, so I subbed brown rice and black beans. LOVED IT They roast the veggies, and just totally mix the greens and toppings n veggies altogether and dump it in a brown box! DELISH AND HUMONGOUS. I literally am on my 3rd meal of it, today! I'm gonna write to the moms in white marsh and ask why "we" don't have the ear in option? Staff: two VERY hard working folk going at it, being patient with us first timers and totally apologetic about the items they were out of (as though it were their fault). A short line started to form behind us and a lady appeared from the rear to help them out. Good to see an establishment recognize a need to come to the aid of other workers to ensure customer satisfaction“
“I've been a long time customer of Turning Natural and highly recommended their juices, smoothies and cleanses. My favorite smoothie is their Happy Hemp that comes with mango, pineapple, spinach, spirulina and hemp protein. So yummy! The black bean burger and spinach patty are pretty good too. They now even have açaí and pitaya bowls that I'm excited to try. They're also black owned and have locations throughout the DMV. You really can't go wrong!“
“Such a wonderful team, I had just picked up my order and as I was walking outside the door hit my arm spilling my entire bowl across the ground. I let the staff know and they were kind enough to remake the order. ♥️Vegetarian options: Fresh vegetables that are still crunchy.Dietary restrictions: Easy to modify set ordersWheelchair accessibility: Street level main entrance with ramp for mall entrance.“
“This was my first time trying Sweetgreen and I decided to create my own salad.I overdid it with the dressing, so I asked for more quinoa to balance it out. I offered to pay for that but was reassured that wouldn't be necessary. Larkia, the Sweetgreen manager, was fantastic, so helpful, and made sure I had everything I needed! This was in October last year and I have returned every time I have been in the US since.sweetgreen order: kale and quinoa base, chopped almonds, seasoned chicken, tomato, cucumber, italian pesto dressing (medium)Vegetarian options: Mehrere.“
“After hearing about Sweetgreen for a while, I finally decided to give it a try. I must say, the food is absolutely delicious and the portions are quite generous. Additionally, the service provided was excellent and the restaurant itself is clean and well-organized. My only minor complaint would be that the sauce used in their dishes is a tad too salty for my personal preference.“
“I love the BBQ tofu. Its a nice sweet BBQ sauce with a little bit of a nutty flavor (not sure if there's actually nuts). The Mac and cheese is okay. Sometimes the cheese texture is similar to the texture of glue. I think I'm used to a different style of vegan Mac and cheese like Nu vegan or E life has. The people who work here are always nice and there's an interesting small plant based grocery connected to the restaurant that you can look around while waiting for your food.“
“Like any typical yard house, decent apps and a good selection of drinks. Generally a pretty popular establishment though, so expect a wait time.Arrived around 5-6pm on a Saturday and was quoted a 1-2 hour wait time, which ended up being closer to 45 minutes.I’d always recommend getting the half yards if you can drink that much, about 2.5 drinks worth of beer, but it certainly is a visual spectacle.I missed happy hour on this occasion but they have half off on selected apps which is quite worth it.The chicken nacho app portions are insane and can function as an entree or easily satisfy 4-6 people.“
“This place was suggested by the staff the Thompson Washington for a quick, tasty lunch. If you come during lunch hours it is pretty business so expect a slight wait. It was my first visit so I went with the crispy rice and added the parmesan crisps ... yum! The salad was really fresh. They have a few tables inside and outdoor seating as well. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a good salad and want something different.“
“I visited this location yesterday, Feb. 28, between 7-8pm and received the best customer service I’ve received from anywhere in a very long time. I didn’t get the guy’s name but, his positive attitude and service changed the problematic day I was having into something positive.Dietary restrictions: Vegan“
“This is my absolute favorite spot in DC for Asian food! Their cooked dishes are very good and their Japanese sushi menu is amazing. It is very affordable and they give very generous portions! They are also so friendly here and the atmosphere is very cute“
“I recently ordered from Spring and Sprout through DoorDash and was genuinely impressed. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well-presented, even after being delivered. The packaging was practical, ensuring everything arrived in perfect condition. Efficient delivery added to the positive experience. I'd definitely recommend them.Vegetarian options: Plenty and customizable“
“I would like to give a shout out and big THANK YOU to Maurice and team for ensuring that everything went well with our order. He was professional, prompt and thorough and frankly went above and beyond. He called to make sure order was delivered as well as patiently walked me through the order the day prior to ensure that we had everything including orders that came in after I had submitted the order. I also want to add that I loved the platform ordering system as well as the Uber notification/tracking. I was a little nervous placing the order from Texas especially since the delivery was for our DC office, but things could not have flown smoother. Many thanks again Maurice and sending a big Texas THANK YOU!“
“One of the cozy spots around Shaw area which is close to convention center. Me and my girl had to take Uber since dc parking lil bit hard, but we made it for dinner and some cocktails. Our servers was so friendly and help us choose what we eat which is cool. We tried egg rolls which was delicious and my girl had lamb chops that was reasonable price and so delicious. I would say lemon drop was so fire for the happy hour price was so dope. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to have chill vibe, drinks and food. Btw the fact they had a DJ was interesting too.“
“LOVE this pizza! I had it growing up as my school’s “hot lunch.”Sauce is sweetThe crust is doughy! We actually get it light baked. This place is totally controversial in our house and with my friends from growing up … but I love it. It’s a conveyer pizza … so for you one bite fans … el presidente would hate this … but forget about that!Nut House!!!“
“Good food, reasonable prices. The chicken bacon ranch pizza is more spicy than I thought as they added red peppers. I hope they could mark this out on menu. The service is slightly slow and the background music is kind of loud. But not big deals.“
“I found out standing by the cash register works wonders for picking up orders its hard for them to ignore you then. Gladly its a new team of people here and they seem to have themselves under control and are very friendly. Glad to see the batch of older workers gone they sucked.“
