“I bought a 5-wing dinner with cabbage and mac and cheese. It was my first time going there. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. The fried chicken was delicious and the cabbage was so good and well flavored. The mac and cheese was very good as well. The price was reasonable and the portions was a good size. I still have leftovers today. I was so happy that I went here. I live in Glen Burnie and there's hardly any soul food restaurants over there. So I was glad that I went over to Southern Blues. Now I have a good soul food place I can go to within Anne Arundel County!!“

“I'm not a "foodie". I just eat because if you don't you'll die. Additionally, I'm a very picky eater. The food at Miss Toya's was outstanding! I had the grilled pork chops, which were very tender, flavorful and smothered in a tatsy brown gravy. The sweet potatoes reminded me of those my mom used to make and I really liked the steamed cabbage. Service was outstanding! Attentive, but not hovering. Tje restaurant was well lit amd confortable. I will definitely be back!
Parking: Restaurant is in an outdoor shopping center, so parking close is a premium.“

“I am sorry I also late for this review. Me and my brothers had an event last month and got span of a and cheese and greens. Man, people who know me I am very particular about certain foods, but Mr. Brown and Lynette Kitchen put there foot in it. Everything tasted great and people enjoyed it very much. Will definitely be using them again.“

“I stopped by for the first time on Easter Sunday after church! I enjoyed their newly updated decor and decided to take a few pictures while my food was being cooked. I met Ms. Tasha and Ms. Phaedra, and both ladies provided warm smiles and the highest level of customer service! I enjoyed my catfish, greens, sweet potatoes, potato salad, green beans and peach-cobbler. l will definitely be back!“
