“Food was excellent. Our group of four had sea bass, halibut and neck of lamb. All of these dishes were outstanding. We had the flaming cheese as an appetizer; two of us loved it, two thought it was too salty. Our server Zach was outstanding! “My students enjoyed lunch at Hawkers for our minimester program callled “Street Food.” Our server, Kay, was incredibly helpful and communicative. The food was phenomenal and each of my teenage students said the experience was unbelievable. We also met Sous Chef Ever who came out to check on us and received a raucous applause from all of us.“
“It was a dark & rainy new year’s day night and I stumbled into Hank Dietle’s completely by accident. Little, I mean Dietle, did I know there are a) real live roadhouses in montgomery county with live musica 7 nites a week and b) every monday night is blues night! “Went for weekday lunch. Ordered the crab cake meal. It came with what was described as root vegetables which were mixed small red and white potatoes and carrots. Everything was beyond excellent, probably the best I've had anywhere in Montgomery County. All lump sweet Maryland crabmeat. Service was excellent along with having the owner assisting with service.“
“The food is always well prepared, good quality and fresh. I always enjoy the oysters offered and the oysters are fresh. Recently have been enjoying the blackened catfish but previous loves include the cream of crab soup, crab cake and the brunch benedicts. Though busy at times the atmosphere is good and the service more often than not is quite good. Great for families and larger groups as well. “This was an amazing find! We were in the area for work and I love trying hole in the walls to eat at. This one was a gem! The servers were all very friendly and has great suggestions. The sandwiches were very good - I had the reuben and my co worker had the cauliflower sandwich. Both were great, but the onion rings were THE BEST WE HAVE EVER HAD!! It was very much worth a try and the place had a long line out the door by the time we left on a Thursday afternoon.“

“Dear Diary - They have a large selection of beers. They have a decent happy hour prices on selected food items. They are very busy with a lengthy wait time. They have the ability to message you when your table would be available so that is a nice touch without having to wait at the establishment, which enables you to walk around the RIO shopping area. “On St. Patrick's Day, my mom wanted green beer, so we went to The Barking Dog. The gastropub was filled with sports fanatics. Since alcoholic drinks weren't permitted in the patio area, we were seated at a booth near the bathroom. My brother had an O'Doul's, my fiancé had a Crooked Crab Haze for Days Pale Ale, my parent shared a New Trails Crisp Lager (dyed green), and I had a Green Tea Cocktail. We shared an order of Pub Pretzels, which was served warm and with a spicy cheese dipping sauce.“
“I’ve been seeing this restaurant for years and we finally tried it recently. We really were missing out!! Every single item of food that we ordered was absolutely delicious. The service was wonderful and they were so kind and patient with our toddler. They have a great coloring sheet option for kids with crayons and she was distracted for big chunk of time, which was great for us. I really do love it when a restaurant thinks about their younger customers. Really appreciated that. The atmosphere is great and felt very cozy and welcoming. Not too loud, not too quiet — just right. Seating was ample and there was no wait since we were there on a weekday for dinner. We’ll definitely be back soon!“

Appreciate the care and effort put into the marketing and social events here now. Super nice to see all the dancing events when I'm walking by into my apartment & the invites to the events. “Nice place, good tables and equipment, good food, and great service from the staff. It's tucked back in a hole behind a cigar shop, but worth the search. It's a pool hall with a bar, instead of a bar with a few pool tables, so the crowd seems more serious about playing and having a good time. I've been there a few times, and see myself coming back, easily.“

“Great wine and beer selection! Very fair prices, conveniently located right by the Shady Grove metro station (you can walk straight from the station if you cut through the parking lot!). They also have a selection of beers on tap that you can enjoy while watching the game, or sit outside if the weather is cooperating! Definitely recommend this place!“
