“I love this place! They have a bunch of local and craft beers on tap and one of the best selections of beers for retail in the area. If there is a beer you are looking for but can’t find, as long as the county sticks it, Ashish (the fabulous, friendly owner) will order it. The store is very clean and bright, I never have trouble finding parking, and the prices are on par with other stores. In the wine side of things, there is a good variety and prices seem a little lower than other area stores.“

The Happy Hour, which starts at 1PM (yes, you read that correctly) has insanely low prices, and the "pour" on both glasses of wine and cocktails are unmatched. Great ambience, clean as a whistle, a ton of regulars at the bar and a Touchtunes jukebox on the wall to bring your own soundtrack with you. What's not to LOVE about this place? 🍷🍹🥂🍻🦀“

“The sushi at Takumi Japanese Bistro & Bar was fresh and nicely prepared. The salmon nigiri had a clean flavor, and the spicy tuna roll had just enough heat without being buried in sauce. The chicken gyoza was another good choice, with crisp bottoms and a savory filling. I liked that the menu had more than just sushi, so there were plenty of options for the table. Service was pleasant, although things slowed down a little once the restaurant became busier. Overall, a satisfying Japanese meal in Bethesda.“

“Great atmoshere, high-end stylish dining room, comfortable seating. The salmon dish was delicious and a large portion. The spinach rice side dish was so delicious! The Ravini Politiko, coconut cake was the best I ever ate! The Thalissina, seafood pasta had plenty of seafood in it and delicious. Even the cappaccino was delicious, very smooth, no bitterness and taste great with dessert! The server, Baris, was attentive, friendly and did a great job taking care of us. Great place to eat, homemade dishes and desserts! Highly recommend it. I will be back!“

He was soooooo attentive, and professional , and friendly, I can go on. He suggested certain foods, and he was right on point because the food was amazing. We had an outside table with great views. “My husband and I decided to stay here overnight during our drive home from a beach vacation. I am covered in mosquito bites and am just miserable. I couldn’t wait to take a shower. Well let me tell you, I have NEVER taken a shower as good as the shower I just took in this hotel. It scratched every mosquito bite on my body simultaneously and felt so amazing. The provided toiletries smell like I just stepped out of a spa. The towel was fluffy but not linty. The water pressure was immaculate. The temperature was consistent and easy to set to the perfect amount of hotness. And my skin doesn’t feel like it’s been stripped of all of its moisture like it does after a shower at most hotels. I will only stay at this chain from now on if they’re all like this. I need to know how to get this at home. I’m serious. Best shower of my life.“

The place did provide me with the option for a side salad instead of fries, which was made with fresh greens and very tasty. “Tried Kusshi in Bethesda recently and overall had a really good experience. The restaurant has a modern atmosphere without feeling too loud or crowded, and the location in Woodmont Triangle makes it a nice spot for dinner before walking around downtown after. Sushi tasted fresh and presentation was really well done. You can tell they pay attention to quality instead of just rushing plates out.

We ordered a mix of rolls, appetizers, and drinks and honestly everything came out pretty quickly. The crispy rice and specialty rolls were probably my favorite part of the meal. Staff was friendly and checked in often without hovering too much which I appreciated.

Prices are definitely on the higher side compared to casual sushi spots, but that’s kind of expected for the area and quality level. Overall a really solid place for date night, dinner with friends, or just when you want sushi that feels a little more upscale than average.“
