“Celebrated my birthday at Empress Coffee & Cocktails with my girls, and it was everything! The food and drinks were incredible -- we tried so many dishes and loved every bite. The Persian pizza (a house favorite) was full of flavor, the soup and grilled cheese combo was pure comfort, and the turkey + havarti sandwich, bacon egg croissant, and margarita pizza were all delicious and perfectly done. The drinks? Just wow. The espresso martini is an absolute yes! We also loved the butterfly margarita, lava-shak martini, and Malibu sunset -- all beautifully crafted and fun to sip. Plus, they offer a nice selection of wines and juices to purchase. Shots were order as well. Had too much fun didn't take pictures of all the food and drinks. The space itself is perfect for a girls' day or night out -- stylish and cozy with beautiful lighting and thoughtful décor. We especially loved the artwork of the girl with the pearl earrings -- such a fun and elegant touch! We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves, which made the whole evening feel extra special. Huge shoutout to Sam, the owner, who was such a warm and welcoming host. “I discovered this restaurant after getting my lashes done at Evalash and decided to give it a try since it’s relatively new. I’m so glad I did! I ordered the spicy kimchee fried rice to go and enjoyed some spring rolls and wine while I waited. The spring rolls came out quickly, were perfectly crisp, and absolutely delicious — I wish I’d ordered extra to take home! But the real standout was the fried rice. Packed with flavor, the kimchee was just right, and the pork belly I chose as my protein made it even better. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

We bought a few bottles, but now need to physically go back and get more. ABC's don't carry them and we don't know of anywhere else to buy them besides their tasting room. The owner mentioned that they also sell at certain farmer's markets. But not sure which ones.“

If you want to discover the flavors of El Salvador’s kitchen this is the right place. Antojitos Santa Elena restaurant impressed me with a big menu from pupusas to the most delicious antojitos.

They have many tables indoor and outdoor. The servers are attentive and friendly. They have a family environment that means they don’t sell alcohol only soft and hot drinks.

I highly recommend the panes mata niños (a mortadella hot dog). Also, the drink cebada, and of course the pupusas. My favorite pupusas are the ones made with rice flour. But if you like something different they have an extensive menu with different options like the “All day Breakfast “ 🍳.

“We dined as a family of five on a Friday evening. The atmosphere was spectacular while sitting on the patio overlooking the beautiful grounds. Our meal started with wings and soup. The wings were the perfect level of crispness with bold flavor. We also ordered the new tomato soup and that was rich, warm, creamy and deliciously we would definitely order it again. When our entree’s arrived we were left disappointed. I ordered the 8 oz filet with fries, and two spices, Gael I butter and brandy pepper corn. The filet was drowned in what I can only describe as McCormick’s Montreal Steak Seasoning. I am a purist and believe a fine cut of steak only needs salt and pepper. I could only make it half way through my steak because of the tremendous amount of salt. I was disappointed that it was a house blend of spices especially with a chef in the kitchen. The steak sauces while had a great flavor were over powered by the extreme seasonings and were severed cold and mildly gelatinous. My husband got the steak and seafood trio. He raved about the lobster ravioli however his steak was full of gristle and not very edible. We ended our meal with a crème brûlée. The custard was missing the bold vanilla flavor and was pretty bland. The sugar crust was crop and perfect. The cocktails were made fresh and delicious however when the check arrived we realized that we were charged full price instead of the happy hour pricing. Overall, the appetizers and cocktails were delicious and the atmosphere can’t be beat. We are hoping we just came on an off night for the chef. We hope to come back to try it again. We can certainly see the potential.“
