“I Love Italian - and when I say this place has THE BEST MEATBALLS I've ever tasted - it's saying a lot! The mushroom gnocchi was light and delish! “My wife and I had an absolutely amazing evening dining out here on a long weekend trip to DC for our Birthdays. The food was incredible I have not found one dish at this or the Chicago location that wasn’t great. Abagail was simply the best waitress we have EVER had. She was attentive, personable and really went out of the way to give us the best dining experience my wife and I have ever had from top to bottom. We had a great experience in Chicago but I have to say I think the food was a touch better here. I am comparing caviar to caviar here as both were great, but DC has the win here and certainly did with our waitress as well.“

“This charming trattoria came onto my radar, driven by a craving for Veal Saltimbocca and I was not disappointed! I called ahead to make a reservation and I was seated at my reservation time. The Veal Saltimbocca tasted like it came straight from a traditional Italian kitchen. It was tender, fresh and flavorful, served in a generous portion.

I'm not much of a drinker, but the Margarita Italiano with Limoncello was the best Margarita I've ever tasted and was served in a large glass! Service was excellent from my initial phone call to make the reservation through the end of my visit. I am looking forward to eating my leftovers tomorrow. I would come here again for the same meal, without hesitation.“

We tried the salmon skewers and a panini, both of which were fresh and flavorful. The salad that came with the panini was crisp and colorful, adding to the meal’s appeal. A highlight here is the cannoli bar—where they freshly fill the shells upon ordering—making for the perfect sweet ending.

“Excellent food and customer service for catering! My daughter’s field hockey team was playing at UMD and we wanted to host a post game dinner/tailgate for the team and parents. I’m so glad I discovered Paisano’s! They were so kind and accommodating from the moment I placed the order up until delivery - I even called them 30 min. before our order was scheduled to be delivered to see if they could come later as the game went into overtime and they accommodated us! We ordered the baked ziti, garlic spaghetti, chicken Alfredo, and garden salad. (They also offer gluten sensitive pasta which was a big plus.) The food was delicious and delivered right on time and the pricing was very reasonable. I highly recommend their catering services!“

“Today, Dec.13, my wife and I stopped in for first time (5:30/6:00- we are just “average joes)We were greeted by a very cheerful hostess. We were immediately shown to a table. Staff informed us the servings were “BIG” (easily serves two or three), but we are welcome to order as much as we like. There was a plethora of choices! Drinks and bread (4 different types) were promptly brought to our table. The waiter was sharp, attentive, and on his game! (Unfortunately I forgot his name). Our huge amount of food showed up, and it WAS a huge amount for two people! It was served up to our plates to start. (A very nice touch!) it was excellent! For dessert we had the tiramisu “pie”(yes it looked like and filled a very large shallow bowl and served with big serving spoon!) It was covered with shaved Belgium dark chocolate! ( It was decadent/sinful) We ate 3/4’s of the dish! The Manager (Jorge) was also very attentive and customer service oriented! He was observant and wanted us to have an excellent experience… and we did !! It was an absolute AAAAA+++++ meal! Now my new Favorite restaurant! I absolutely recommend this restaurant!“

“New favorite sandwich! The Philly Special comes loaded with shaved ribeye, cherry pepper mayo, applewood smoked bacon, Cooper Sharp cheese, lettuce, tomato, and super thin red onion. Basically, it’s what would happen if a Philly cheesesteak and a BLT had a baby.

The flavors work well together. The ribeye is tender, the bacon adds a little smokiness, and that cherry pepper mayo gives just the right amount of heat without being too spicy. It’s messy in the best way, the kind of sandwich you need both hands (and a few napkins) for.

For $17 it’s packed to the brim and could easily be two meals. Totally worth it if you’re craving something indulgent. Grazie Grazie nailed this one.“

“This is my favorite lunch place in DC. The food is outstanding, the staff are friendly, and the restaurant itself provides the feeling that you're enjoying a local sandwich shop. This is the best sandwich bread you can get in DC, and it's not even close. You can taste the freshness in every bite and the addition of being able to buy the meats and fresh baked rolls separately gives Salumeria a local, small-European town quality that can't be matched at other places. For this price point and this level of sandwich creation, you won't find anything better in DC. Try the Crudo, it's a classic, simple sandwich that provides rich flavors in every bite with fresh mozzarella and prosciutto that melts in your mouth.“

“All around great experience. Went with the 8 course chefs menu and was pleasantly surprised. Only had a small part of one dish that was just a little too salty, which i mentioned to Chef, and he appreciated the feedback. They have multiple pairing options, as well. I had caviar added to my fish dish, and added 5 cheeses with my dessert. All were delicious. Highly recommend giving this spot a try.“

“Good pizza for less than $6.00. They also have other prepared food, like meats, salads and sides, but I went with pizza. The service is relatively fast and it is a place for a quick bite. I work in the area and it’s one of my favorite options for lunch - slice of pizza, kin of New York style lunch :). Also, considering that the chain exists since 1956, it’s reliable and proven with a time. Interior is simple and ascetic.

“I always just passed by this place in a hurry on the way to drop my kid off to school.
Today I decided to stop and try their Italian version of croissants.
Most of all , the service was amazing!
One of the people works there helped me was Maxwell.
He took a lot of time with smile to explain Italian pastries and coffee (They serve coffee from the oldest roaster in Italy!) He was such a jewel!
