“We’ve been here many times and always have a great time!“

“This was literally my favorite restaurant to spoil myself and family when I could. Number #1 reason was the only place I ever tasted the best made chili in my life. Even if I went for a drink I'd always order a bowl of chili, when ordering take out I ordered a bowl of Chili, if i could have bought a whole tub or shipping container I would have. Recently for my anniversary, my wife and daughter decided to surprise me with dinner at my favorite spot. Oh I already knew what I wanted the moment I sat down. My heart about broke in half when I started with I'll start with a bowl of chili, only to have server state that they no longer have chili as it wasn't selling or something like that. Don't get me wrong, they always provide excellent service and all their food is absolutely delicious but man what turned me on from day 1 was that chili. Luckily my wife found the receipt via the internet but man it just stinks having a place your so in love with because of a favorite dish, remove that dish you long for at the end of a hard work week, or celebrating something and rewarding yourself with that awesome flavor that makes you crave it more the next few days leading up to pay day and saying "Time for Chili's famous Chili" .
I'll still pop in from time to time but my whole frequent visits was the result of that awesome dish that I'm truly broken up over. Perhaps I'm dramatic but guys you really don't understand the loyalty that dish created for me from the first to the last dish I will miss that awesome chili, if i would have known the last time I had it was "the last time i'd have it" I would have requested to buy any and all that was left. lol heck I have no problem heating it up after storing it in the freezer as it really was the best my taste buds ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Hope to pop in, in the near future, but that dish was everything to my dedication to this place and I'm beside myself that it's gone. Thanks for the many years of some awesome chili..............

Parking: Always had a place to park with a large area and great staff greetings when you enter.

Kid-friendliness: My daughter loves the games on the tablets and the staff was always friendly and made you feel very welcomed.“

“Despite living just 20 minutes from the brewery and being an avid beer lover, for whatever reason my husband and I hadn’t been to twisted irons. We decided to make a visit and then were kicking ourselves for not coming sooner! Often if you’re not a “regular” at these breweries you’re ignored, not here. The staff were amazing! They made us feel welcome, and made beer suggestions based on our style of beer choices. The beers were delicious and the vibes were vibin’. We left raving… until we noticed our card was charged for substantially more than we authorized. BUT! Literally within minutes of me contacting the bar, they sincerely apologized for the fat finger and refunded the money. I debated adding that little negative thing, but it’s important for others to know that despite making a mistake, how quickly they rectified it while also being so kind. I 10/10 recommend this brewery and cannot wait to return! Cheers!“

“A dope dive bar where a lot of different folk come together to forget about the outside world and have a few drinks over a game or two of pool. There’s tons of bar space and table seating which makes the walkway quite skinny, so be prepared to be bumping shoulders and hips with the patrons all night. Honestly the back wall being full of TVs is kind of hilarious and doesn’t fit the vibe but who cares. Didn’t get the bartender’s name with the tattoos but that guy was really cool. Bring the lads here.“

BRIAN was the bartender when I came in. He was super welcoming and had great small talk. As someone who's never been here, he treated me like a regular.

CHARLIE, who prepared the food, also came out when he had time and was a pleasure to chat with. The food he made was really good.

The environment is what I look for in a bar. If I lived here, this would be my regular spot.. It's refreshing to find small places like this, where people care and build a welcoming environment. I'd come back, NO QUESTION! Cheers to another late work day!“

My friends and I frequent this establishment at least 4 times a week to unwind from our work days! It’s our “Cheers Bar” b/c everyone knows your name. “A great venue, not far from the UD campus right on the river. Good food at decent prices. Their upstairs venue space is awesome. We are there monthly for the Vanguard Event and they go out of their way with custom drinks and great service. 10/10 would recommend!“

“I have had Anthony's a couple of times and it has never missed. The last time I had it, they treated teachers to pizza on teacher's appreciation. Not only is the food and service top notch, they are a business who supports educators and that is something the community can really get behind. Anthony's will continue to get my business. “Enjoyed my birthday tonight with family and friends. Grew up in Newark and have never eaten here. It did not disappoint. Love the history and the ambience. Our waitress, Piper was phenomenal, .... friendly, accommodating, and very attentive. The food was perfectly portioned and all tasted great. The soft pretzel was wonderful. The Brussel Sprouts was excellent and the short ribs were tender and flavorful. The apple cider mule was a perfect drink to top it all off.“
