“I love this bar! I'm from nyc and was visiting family that goes to this bar on a daily basis. This was in 2007. George was a cool dude and always showed me respect. “We usually take out as it is a modest space in a small Claymont shopping center. The food is some of the best Mexican food in the area. Simple but excellent. We've tried the tacos burritos and several platters all were excellent. Give this little place a try“
“It's been a minute since we've been here. It has changed a lot. For the better. Seated promotly, they do try to push the bar tab. It's kinda expected and up to the customer to say yes or no. I had one. It was delicious! I ordered the veal tenders. I ordered without mushrooms and there was no oroblem. OMG! So nice and tasty. I brought some home for next days lunch. He had the veal chop. He enjoyed it. Lots if food but we wanted some salad. One salad and two plates. Who knew? It worked out great. The service was excellent. This used to be a quiet place to have dinner. They've added tables and it's much more lively. Everyone seemed happy and upbeat. We will be back. Yummy!“

“Named as one of the top dive bars in the country, Murph's is a bit less ragged and run down and a step up from some of the dives I've been in. It's clean, tastefully decorated, and spacious. You can immediately tell that this is a neighborhood bar, where the locals are all familiar with one another. There is ample space for pool, and the 360 degree wrap-around bar is a great touch. We only came in for beer, and I can report back that the draft beer is quite cold!“
“A beautiful neighborhood dive bar that makes the list for some of the best dive bars in the country, Comegys is a great place to grab a beer. The clientele are genuine locals from the area, all of whom seem to know one another. But the main attraction has to be Candice, the bartender who keeps the drinks filled and the conversation flowing. While there is no food available here, you can get snacks like free popcorn or beef jerky prepared locally by one of the patrons (it's quite good). We had the opportunity to meet Fred Comegys and talk to him for a while about his career as a bar owner and photo journalist. The walls are filled with photographs of his work, so make sure to take a look around this tastefully decorated pub with an artistic sensibility. Oh! And there's a shuffleboard table in the back.“

“It's nice to see how the new owner has cleaned up the place. The atmosphere is inviting. There are plenty of TVs with a variety of sports to choose to from. The bartender, Charlie, was personable which added to a pleasant experience. The kitchen has added some interesting items to the menu. My friend and I got there after the kitchen had closed so we didn't get to order anything. Next time I go I'll get there earlier in the day. I recommend checking out the new Delco Kup if you like a down-to-earth, neighborhood, sports bar.“

“You dont come to Joes for atmosphere and they dont serve food. But drinks are cheap, TV screens are plentiful, the crowd is happy ranging to rowdy on late weekend nights, and the pizza/salad place next door is good. I buy a salad (try the Mediteranean -has good chicken) and sometimes a slice, and it’s a great place to catch the Phils or Birds. Thumbs up! Nice staff.“

He quickly gave me advice on the local places to visit off the beat and path. Place seemed very clean, all the customers were very nice and welcoming. Nice selection of beers on tap as well as bottled and canned beer. Decent selection of spirits, top shelf and rail. Nicely decorated for the Holiday Season. ATM available in establishment, pool table and good music, large televisions and cigarette machine, although I saw no one smoking in bar. They do sell beer for off site consumption. The banter between the clientele is funny and heartwarming. Bruce the bartender clearly enjoys his job and seems well respected by all in the bar. Place is big on Veterans. This place is a Gem.
