“Jamie Drewes is the only bartender we can walk by, see working, and her presence is the reason we stop by. She is fun, interactive with the customers, personable, and she makes her drinks by the book no matter how busy. She truly provides quality service and product and should be a model for the other bartenders there. Her behind the bar makes the drink and the atmosphere worth the price.“
“Menu is wisely not extensive. Clipboards hanging on the wall. It's delicious. Vegan friendly options. Shareables, fries, handhelds, burgers, tonight they had soup too. Home brewed beers, cocktails and wines. Counter service for bar and food. It runs efficiently. Open a tab and just mention your name. Chilled water jugs strategically placed. Cool, eclectic indoor, open air and outdoor seating. The place is massive! Rustic vibe. Kid friendly -only chicken fingers on the menu though. Kids roamed freely. And dog friendly too. Lots of pups tonight, big and small. Best part was the live music. Plenty of space to dance. Wide range of ages. I'm coming back soon!“
“Unique and homey atmosphere, lovely staff, and delicious cheeseburgers. If you’re looking for a great burger, Letty’s Burger is it. I’ve tried a few other items on the menu and nothing has disappointed, but the burger is excellent. Everything on the menu is fairly pricey, but it’s a nice treat and it’s high quality food. I’d suggest making a reservation, especially for the weekend. We made one easily a few days out and there was a 30min wait on a Friday night without a res. Def recommend!“
“This has been my favorite restaurant for years. Whatever you get, you know it’s going to be well made, filling, and delicious. The inside is really cool looking and the staff has always been super kind and helpful. If you’re looking for a new favorite place, it’s here.“
“The food was surprisingly delicious. We ordered stuffed salmon with sweet potato lobster sauce, which was very good and a grilled vegetables. I would highly recommend this place. Service was excellent in the food was well cooked.Parking: Four handicapped parking spaces available directly in front of establishmentWheelchair accessibility: Doors are wide and level to ground“
“I'm so pleased to see that this intimate venue seems to be making a go of it in downtown West Chester. Formerly a National Guard armory, a few years ago the 1916 building was converted to a 327-seat theater with accompanying bar/lounge and meeting space. It hosts all manner of arts productions, from live music, dance, and theater to comedy and movie screenings. There's not a bad seat in the house, and the acoustics are good. Last night we enjoyed a concert by Jeffrey Gaines, one of the better-known performers to visit this venue. Great show. What's more, you can buy a drink at the bar and take it to your seat; the theater space is clean and comfortable as standard theater seats go; and the restrooms are ample in number and spotlessly clean. Come support the arts in West Chester!“
“A beautiful neighborhood dive bar that makes the list for some of the best dive bars in the country, Comegys is a great place to grab a beer. The clientele are genuine locals from the area, all of whom seem to know one another. But the main attraction has to be Candice, the bartender who keeps the drinks filled and the conversation flowing. While there is no food available here, you can get snacks like free popcorn or beef jerky prepared locally by one of the patrons (it's quite good). We had the opportunity to meet Fred Comegys and talk to him for a while about his career as a bar owner and photo journalist. The walls are filled with photographs of his work, so make sure to take a look around this tastefully decorated pub with an artistic sensibility. Oh! And there's a shuffleboard table in the back.“
“The good: The food was delicious. The Caesar salad was excellent. On the weekend the brother that doesn't own the restaurant makes the Caesar salad now. He told us about how he learned to make it from his father. I really enjoyed hearing the story and watching him make it up close. It made up for the slow service. The bad: The service was extremely slow. It took 30+ minutes to get our drinks ordered and served and our orders taken. They did bring out the complimentary appetizer before that but it would have been great to have at least my drink order filled. This was a birthday celebration that I did notate on the reservation. Had 2 of my friends not been there with us we probably would have left because sitting for 30 mins with no acknowledgment is really pretty unacceptable. I understand being busy and short staffed but I did very politely mention to the hostess prior to that no one had waited on us. She came over and said oh you have the complimentary appetizer and said they are very busy. She should have at least taken our drink orders. Also my partner ordered the surf and turf. Online it says filet and lobster. He got filet and crab cake. He did not say anything because we had waited so long to get orders placed and to get the food. The steak was cooked exactly as he asked but a crab cake is not the same as lobster. And had he known this he wouldn't have ordered the crab cake appetizer. The waitress was also very nervous acting. She was super nice and sort of attentive just nervous and slow. We gave her a 22% tip but she would have gotten 30% had she done a better job. Overall it was a nice evening but with annoyances that I hope the restaurant sees and understands isn't acceptable especially when a reservation is notated as a birthday celebration. I will be back but not for any type of celebration with friends.“
“So, my dad/hero (RIP) and I used to predominantly haunt Becco’s … and Maloney&Porcelli’s + Cité in Hell’s Kitchen. (RIP the last two restaurants ? as well.) Spoto’s in 33418 and Barrio Star in San Diego … this seems like the oddest review. But my point is that I haven’t felt compelled to write anything until I had two whiskey sours and a cheesesteak at the Square Bar, today. In fact, I haven’t gone to many restaurants/bars at all since my dad passed in 2020. To come into such an awesome environment with banging food and encounter two awesome employees; (didn’t catch the name of the killer cheesteak maker-queen) and Gretchen. The drinks—environment—food—and two ladies working there, helped me to feel comfortable, like I wanted to stay, and forget any sads for the time being. Highly recommend x’s a millionIf my dad was still around … (again, miss you Dad), and we randomly took root in the g reater philly area? Square Bar would be a staple. Hands down. Keep up the good fight Square Bar! Don’t change a thing“
“Wonderful restaurant with a lot of space and good food! We went for restaurant week and got the alligator sausage, lobster pot pie, and the lemon mascarpone cake and everything was delicious! The waiters were also very nice and checked in with us often. Highly recommend!“
“A real neighborhood bar atmosphere. Don't let the price point fool you, as everything is delicious and drinks are well crafted. Most nights it's pretty busy but servers and bartends are always attentive and kind!Vegetarian options: There are a couple of vegetarian options, but most dishes do contain meat“
“Santinos is our new go to spot thanks to Nicole! She makes it such a welcoming, homey environment.. she truly remembers her customers and makes sure they are taken care of while you're here! AND she makes the most incredible (orange) cosmo! Great food, great drinks and even better company! Highly recommend!“
“A dope dive bar where a lot of different folk come together to forget about the outside world and have a few drinks over a game or two of pool. There’s tons of bar space and table seating which makes the walkway quite skinny, so be prepared to be bumping shoulders and hips with the patrons all night. Honestly the back wall being full of TVs is kind of hilarious and doesn’t fit the vibe but who cares. Didn’t get the bartender’s name with the tattoos but that guy was really cool. Bring the lads here.“
“Bien bien bueno!! Las quesabirrias, los chiles rellenos! Y mi hijo comió los tacos de chorizo y carnitas. Bien bien bueno! Palomas y skinny margaritas! Enjoy! Por que nosotros si lo disfrutamos! Siéntanse afuera! Muy lindo patio! Nos tocó la Claudia y fue muy buena mesera! Nice Dinner!“
“Stopped in to try fufu and it was delicious! Also tried the j*** chicken and the empanadas, everything was so delicious. Portions were big and full of flavor.. can't wait to stop by again.Ashley gave my coworker and I excellent customer service, she was on top of our drinks and overall always attentive if we needed anything. Thank you!“
“The food was top notch, a little pricey compared to other places we've ventured to, but not breaking the bank. The bartender was our server, so he was overwhelmed with too many customers, it happens, I've worked in the bar industry that sold food and when your server/servers call in "sick" or "late", u gotta keep on keeping on. So I don't fault him. Will definitely come back, the salsa & chips were YUMMMMMMM! (I'm kind of a salsa snob)“
“Saw the billboard for their slushees on the highway and was intrigued.. I’m so glad I went! They’re delicious, inexpensive, and strong, and the employees are kind and down to earth. I went three times in one weekend and will go again soon!“
“When first walking in, they offer to sit you at a low or high top. We chose the high top which was right across from the bar. Plenty of room for the 2 of us on our dinner date but of course got a bit loud from some people yelling. It's the bar side so it's to be expected. We chose 6 raw oysters, 2 great whites, 2 summer loves, and 2 Wellfleets. The summer loves were a bit small compared to the others, but they were all great.Next we had shrimp cocktail that didn't last long enough for a picture, but tasted so fresh. Both entrées, the crab cakes and Pappardelle Fra Diavolo were fresh, well presented and delicious.Ended the night with classic Crème brûlées that hit the spot.Pricey but worth every penny.“
“I’m not sure how they do it but the service is just as good as the authentic food they serve and the margaritas they keep pouring. We’ve been regulars here for years and will never go anywhere else for Mexican. We love sitting outside during the summer but the inside is equally as gorgeous.“
“Small bar and no advertising outside except on the front of its front door. This is crazy because its in a shopping center where you can't see it from the road. Its also directly across from an elementary school. Which I don't have to tell yo the issues there. All in all its not a bad place to go for drinks. The prices are good and they have a nice selection. No food, but you can have food delivered or bring food. But that's only cool if your out with a group and get pizza or out for drinks on a budget and get Burger King which is next door. They got two pool tables, darts and juke box. Plus they have live entertainment on weekends. But keep in mind its size. So come early.“
“A completely hidden gem. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ this place. AMAZING food on the regular menu and Chef Jon's specials are a culinary delight. Can't say enough good things about the flavorful dishes, the comfortable atmosphere, and the great staff. We love this spot! If you know, you know! #dinnerinthewoods“
“The place really needs an upgrade, it's a little outdated, but the bartender there was pretty cool. Has a few pool tables, good places to sit. It's pretty mellow in there which is nice, it's a different atmosphere, but not in a bad way.“
“First time trying. We will be back. It is apparent they are using good ingredients. Ceasar salad with chicken was very good. They make the dressing in house. The pizza was very great. Good crust, good sauce, good cheese. We will be back. I want to try the meatballs next and the mussels.“
“Always solid pizza with some unique toppings. Ricotta, sausage and long hots is my personal favorite. Tried the wings and they were very good. Also had a great superbowl deal. Fair pricing. Have been about 7 times now and have always been happy with my meal! Usually do takeout but always clean and relaxing setting inside.“
“Special Monday drinks and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. It’s hard to find Cheesesteaks and Alcohol on a Monday. Amigo Dan thinks he is a Pizza Expert so we went to Mercato and got a Mercato Pizza and Old Fashions. We liked Mercato’s. We liked our server. We liked our Old Fashions very much. I liked all of the ingredients that make the Mercato Pizza and just did not like them together as a pizza. The egg freaked me out.“
“Food amazing. We had the tapas, lamb Bon bobs, chicken skewers, calamari, mixed salad, cheese garlic bread. All served hot and the the presentation was outstanding and the taste was even better. If you haven’t been here, it’s a new menu and new chef, to sum it up brilliant and we will return. The SB wine is good too.“
“Always have a great time. The smaller the club the bigger the party. Friendly people. From here and know alot of people that come to the club. DJ is great and takes your requests sometimes. Bartenders are great. Just a good place to go to have some fun. IJS???“
“A quality neighborhood bar. Saturday at 2 PM and the place is packed with some people not having seats. Seemed like an early rush for a bar. I don't know of a game going on today. The bartender at the time was particularly very friendly and I could tell he gave off the same vibe to everyone. As I left this bar with a friend, one of the (assumedly) local patrons was telling us we should've purposely nudged a guy seated so that we could more easily leave the bar instead of slowly crossing over. That particular patron looked back at the first guy very annoyed. The first guy was probably already at least semi-drunk and just kept trying to go on with his "joke".Another thing that surprises me is that this bar is closed all day Sunday and that they open at 8 AM according to the Yelp page and stay open until 2 AM. Those are mad hours This coming Sunday, there was a big game with Eagles versus the 49ers. I've never heard of a bar open so early in the morning and not open on Sundays. Not open on Sunday because a lot of regular church-goers in the area, or the staff need a break and maybe they would want to go to church? Reminds me of Chik-Fil-A without the super late hours and instead of family friendly style food and drink and chicken icon, booze instead. There were no smokers when me and my friend were there. I was thankful for that. It looks like PA started to ban smoking in all bars in 2021. Personally, don't miss it! I already have a hard enough time breathing and sleeping without being around that stuff! No food at this establishment. Quality drinks on tap and reasonable prices. Nice staff. From a neighborhood bar, can you ask for anything more?“
“After a visit to Longwood Gardens this was one of the only restaurants available around. We were welcomed by a warm server. He knew his stuff & was so very accommodating. I got the French dip & fries my girlfriend got the chicken sandwich. Both were great. We will revisit when we are in the area.“
“My wife and came in for dinner about a week ago and had a great experience. Our waitress was prompt and very friendly. We both ordered the same chefs special burger and they were delicious. Like a clone of each other, my wife and I also ordered the same whiskey cocktail that was made to perfection. The bourbon was present yet not overtaken by the other ingredients resulting in a well-balanced cocktail. We will be back again“
