“Had such a great evening at the Bottle Room. Went on a Thursday night - easily grabbed a table and the bartender provided table service. Beer selection top notch, food delicious and menu greatly expanded since the last time we were there. Lots of vegetarian options too. Love this neighborhood place!!!“
“Great place for my husband and I to go on a Saturday night to listen to a live band, dance a little, get something to eat and drink and talk to some great people. You can do all that and not spend an outrageous amout of money. The staff there are all wonderful, friendly and know their job well! We go almost every Saturday night and really enjoy ourselves. We recommend going here for an enjoyable evening that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg.“
“We love going to the Seven Tap Tavern in Downingtown the fourth Friday of each month (and fifth if it occurs) to see The Larry Roney Band. The music is wonderful and our waitress Beth is the best! The new food choices are also very much appreciated.“
“I have been eating at Crossroads since 1971. Newer owners do a great job carrying on tradition. The young ladies at rear take out do a superb job with orders! Of course, the fish on the wall and cozy environment makes the dining experience. Only suggestion is less char on the yummy cheeseburgers.“
“Came for brunch on Sunday (St. Patrick's Day) with a few friends and we weren't disappointed. Mimosas were good, and the breakfast quesadilla was just the right size to leave room for a piece of tres leches cake. The chicken and waffles were huge...like, huge! My friend probably had breakfast for the next two days! Our server was friendly and the people watching was great - they are catering to all ages here! My husband and son were disappointed that they didn't get to come along, so we'll be back for brunch soon!Parking: On Sundays, the public lot is free, and there are some spots right next to the building.“
“Went on Sunday for my mom's birthday dinner. I think our server's name was Liz (I apologize if I got it wrong). Liz was super knowledgeable about the menu and different food options. Their old fashioned was well made and the food was fantastic! It's not often we can get the family together but Ron's made it special.“
“I'm so pleased to see that this intimate venue seems to be making a go of it in downtown West Chester. Formerly a National Guard armory, a few years ago the 1916 building was converted to a 327-seat theater with accompanying bar/lounge and meeting space. It hosts all manner of arts productions, from live music, dance, and theater to comedy and movie screenings. There's not a bad seat in the house, and the acoustics are good. Last night we enjoyed a concert by Jeffrey Gaines, one of the better-known performers to visit this venue. Great show. What's more, you can buy a drink at the bar and take it to your seat; the theater space is clean and comfortable as standard theater seats go; and the restrooms are ample in number and spotlessly clean. Come support the arts in West Chester!“
“Already familiar with the Springfield location and happened to be in the West Chester area and figured we'd stop in.Dining room was empty for a Thursday afternoon but that's fine with us .Ordered 2 combos with gravy fries. As usual, it was excellent. Our waitress was prompt and professional.Always a good experience at Nick's.“
“I am in from out of town with my daughter (almost 2 yrs old) . The atmosphere was so welcoming and so relaxed and clean. We had autumn as a server tonight and I am very glad we did. She was very attentive and friendly . The food tasted amazing and the serving sizes were plentiful. I definitely recommend the espresso martini and the loaded she crab waffle fries. Can’t wait to come visit my sister in pa again. Will definitely be back, especially to this location.Kid-friendliness: High chairs and plenty dinner options for children“
“Wonderful restaurant with a lot of space and good food! We went for restaurant week and got the alligator sausage, lobster pot pie, and the lemon mascarpone cake and everything was delicious! The waiters were also very nice and checked in with us often. Highly recommend!“
“Santinos is our new go to spot thanks to Nicole! She makes it such a welcoming, homey environment.. she truly remembers her customers and makes sure they are taken care of while you're here! AND she makes the most incredible (orange) cosmo! Great food, great drinks and even better company! Highly recommend!“
“So, my dad/hero (RIP) and I used to predominantly haunt Becco’s … and Maloney&Porcelli’s + Cité in Hell’s Kitchen. (RIP the last two restaurants ? as well.) Spoto’s in 33418 and Barrio Star in San Diego … this seems like the oddest review. But my point is that I haven’t felt compelled to write anything until I had two whiskey sours and a cheesesteak at the Square Bar, today. In fact, I haven’t gone to many restaurants/bars at all since my dad passed in 2020. To come into such an awesome environment with banging food and encounter two awesome employees; (didn’t catch the name of the killer cheesteak maker-queen) and Gretchen. The drinks—environment—food—and two ladies working there, helped me to feel comfortable, like I wanted to stay, and forget any sads for the time being. Highly recommend x’s a millionIf my dad was still around … (again, miss you Dad), and we randomly took root in the g reater philly area? Square Bar would be a staple. Hands down. Keep up the good fight Square Bar! Don’t change a thing“
“When first walking in, they offer to sit you at a low or high top. We chose the high top which was right across from the bar. Plenty of room for the 2 of us on our dinner date but of course got a bit loud from some people yelling. It's the bar side so it's to be expected. We chose 6 raw oysters, 2 great whites, 2 summer loves, and 2 Wellfleets. The summer loves were a bit small compared to the others, but they were all great.Next we had shrimp cocktail that didn't last long enough for a picture, but tasted so fresh. Both entrées, the crab cakes and Pappardelle Fra Diavolo were fresh, well presented and delicious.Ended the night with classic Crème brûlées that hit the spot.Pricey but worth every penny.“
“It's most likely a phase, however, haven eaten here multiple times in the past year it has shockingly, in resent, has declined, noticably. Blue points, 3 were ordered, two of the smallest oysters I ever experienced anywhere and the third was laughably a sliver and in no world should have been served. All condiments and sauces are now served in a plactic cups on the plates, no ceramic ramican dishes. The art of service is deminishing, so if you charge $30 for a pork chop or a roast beef french dip, I suggest that the dip, ketchup and horseradish sauces or vinegar for oyesters shouldn't be in clear two inch plastic cups rattling around the plate! What, Arby's wantabe style? This was dinnertime mind you! I thought the presentation more appropriate if seated on the blacktop out side.“
“We stopped in on a Friday night for live music after having dinner somewhere else so we didn’t eat anything. We sat at a small table near the stage and next to the pool tables. Our server was friendly and quick. The place wasn’t too full when we first got there around 8:30p but after the band started at 9p it filled up quickly. The bar was packed. Our server handled the drinks for us and that was nice. We had a lot of fun. People were dancing and some dude in a cowboy hat was putting his hat on people and it was pretty fun to watch. Everyone in there seemed to be having a good time. From what our server said, it was busy for a Friday and Saturdays are usually packed. From the road it looks like a convenience store and even once you walk inside you can’t really see how big it is until you walk around the bar.Parking was easy however I imagine if they are busier on Saturday night it might get tight. Bathrooms were somewhat clean- probably get a lot of traffic. Check their band schedule and stop in. I heard they do line dancing too.“
“Special Monday drinks and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. It’s hard to find Cheesesteaks and Alcohol on a Monday. Amigo Dan thinks he is a Pizza Expert so we went to Mercato and got a Mercato Pizza and Old Fashions. We liked Mercato’s. We liked our server. We liked our Old Fashions very much. I liked all of the ingredients that make the Mercato Pizza and just did not like them together as a pizza. The egg freaked me out.“
“Been coming here for dinner for years and booked a private retirement party event in the Mill room. The food, drinks and service was outstanding! Everyone raved about the food and server’s.Anthony and Sarah did an awesome job making sure everyone had an awesome experience.“
“A completely hidden gem. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ this place. AMAZING food on the regular menu and Chef Jon's specials are a culinary delight. Can't say enough good things about the flavorful dishes, the comfortable atmosphere, and the great staff. We love this spot! If you know, you know! #dinnerinthewoods“
“Took myself here for a solo date night (Saturday 8pm). Excellent experience from start to finish. Most importantly, I was greeted with a big smile! The 2 hostesses were beyond sweet and extremely helpful when I couldn’t decide where to sit. There was a live band playing and the atmosphere overall was laidback and comfortable (St. Patrick’s Day weekend). The St Paddy’s Martini was DELICIOUS, it tasted like mint chocolate chip. I’ve had takeout plenty of times, so I knew the food would be good! My servers, a young lady with cute temporary eye tattoo for the holiday (whose name I didn’t catch) & Drew, were both attentive and polite!10/10 Recommend“
“A quality neighborhood bar. Saturday at 2 PM and the place is packed with some people not having seats. Seemed like an early rush for a bar. I don't know of a game going on today. The bartender at the time was particularly very friendly and I could tell he gave off the same vibe to everyone. As I left this bar with a friend, one of the (assumedly) local patrons was telling us we should've purposely nudged a guy seated so that we could more easily leave the bar instead of slowly crossing over. That particular patron looked back at the first guy very annoyed. The first guy was probably already at least semi-drunk and just kept trying to go on with his "joke".Another thing that surprises me is that this bar is closed all day Sunday and that they open at 8 AM according to the Yelp page and stay open until 2 AM. Those are mad hours This coming Sunday, there was a big game with Eagles versus the 49ers. I've never heard of a bar open so early in the morning and not open on Sundays. Not open on Sunday because a lot of regular church-goers in the area, or the staff need a break and maybe they would want to go to church? Reminds me of Chik-Fil-A without the super late hours and instead of family friendly style food and drink and chicken icon, booze instead. There were no smokers when me and my friend were there. I was thankful for that. It looks like PA started to ban smoking in all bars in 2021. Personally, don't miss it! I already have a hard enough time breathing and sleeping without being around that stuff! No food at this establishment. Quality drinks on tap and reasonable prices. Nice staff. From a neighborhood bar, can you ask for anything more?“
“Always have a great time. The smaller the club the bigger the party. Friendly people. From here and know alot of people that come to the club. DJ is great and takes your requests sometimes. Bartenders are great. Just a good place to go to have some fun. IJS???“
“Omg! These people can throw down! Let me be more specific, chef Troy will bring you Joy make you go home and use your toy! That food was so good I had to rhyme on that one!We have come here at least five times already and each time we've come the food has been awesome sauce!I always get the braised short ribs, boneless... No fat lingering... All melt in your mouth, then combined with the mash potatoes and gravy! Chile cheese!I know I sound like a fat girl, but lawd have mercy!Today I had the green bean with my meal... Let me speak on that as well! I had to pace myself because I didn't want to leave them delicious green beans on that plate! My partner always gets the lemon thyme roasted chicken breast with rice pilaf and broccoli... She cleared her plate as well! I'm talking consistently, each time, flavors never wavering, ALWAYS on point! Then you have the bartender Miss Brenda, (who by the way had a birthday today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS BRENDA!!! ?) and let me tell you, when you go ask for the Miss Brenda specialty sweet drink!I'm excited because we are always disappointed when we go spend our money at some of these other places and they f@*# your food up, smdh. You should never have an issue here at the White Horse Tavern & Wine bar! After you eat you gonna wanna waddle on over and get you a room! Comfortable beds and most of the staff is awesome!! Mr Craig is a delightful and humorous dude and we will most def Always Make this our restaurant and hotel of choice (Sheraton Great Valley) in Frazer, PA!!!!“
“Highly recommend for a special night out. I cannot rave enough about their cocktails and food. The espresso martini I had was delicious. For my second cocktail, I knew I wanted gin but wasn't sure what direction I wanted to head in. I talked with the bartender about what I like in a drink and he created a delicious smoky gin martini.I cannot rave enough about the seafood I ate here last night. But if I had to pick one item on the menu you should not skip, it is the octopus, it melts in your mouth.“
“Easily our favorite restaurant. The food is always amazing. A beautiful atmosphere for kids and adults,They are calling it a "soft opening" after the renovations but trust and believe they haven't missed a beat. Thanks!Kid-friendliness: Lots of fun things for kids to look at. Their menu is comfort food, but better, without being overly seasoned. I have a SUPER picky eater and he loves their chicken fingers. The French fries are out of this world too. This is a great spot for mom and dad to share a drink without feeling like you took your kids to the bar.“
“Whew chile ... Let me jus say AMAZING !!!The customer service when I called was more then PERFECT....my order was finished early and she CALLED to tell me .... My ride home was Xtra long because they SMELLED DELICIOUS....and the presentation was GORGEOUS..... BEST TACOS HANDS DOWN FROM ROUND HERE...U WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED ?❤️?“
“If you like dive bars this is the place for you. I mean that in a good way, too. I'm well past my bar phase but some friends and I went out for my birthday a few years ago. I had never been here before despite growing up in the area and spending lots of time in town. I can't personally comment on the food (honestly I don't know they even serve food). The bartenders were really friendly and quick to notice when we were ready for another drink, even gave me a free one for it being my birthday (I had just turned 35 and was pretty surprised when they gave me a whole glass of bourbon rather than just a shot). We went on a Saturday night around 8 and it started getting loud and cramped quickly after we got our second round of drinks but overall it was a cool little spot.“
