“The person I support through Penn-Mar Human Services loves coffee, so he created a tour of small business coffee shops. He said “Everything here is perfect! Their iced mocha & cannoli gets 5-stars!” He also wanted to note the friendly staff took a photo with him, they have fun decor, lots of delicious pastries, a large selection of iced, hot, & frozen beverages + food! The vibe is totally peaceful & friendly. Lots of items for sale from local authors, local artists, and other vendors. “I have been coming to Waldo’s since 2017, and have always loved the warm and inviting atmosphere, the kindness of everyone behind the bar, and the feeling like you’re valued here. When I was young, I’d spend hours sitting and sketching, writing, meeting new people and playing board games. I’ve enjoyed many cups of coffee here and have gained some incredible, lifelong friends here. “This is a very busy place, staff friendly but confusing when waiting for your items inside. Could not hear them call out the order then just sat it down quickly and left counter. Had to guess if the contents of the bag was ours. Definitely need a little improvement there so people get their order“

I absolutely loved my visit to Starbucks at 1 Lincoln Square, Gettysburg, PA 17325, conveniently located next to the Gettysburg Hotel and open via the York Street entrance . From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly barista with genuine warmth—made me feel like a welcomed guest in town.

My iced latte was served chilly, perfectly refreshingly smooth, and crafted with attention. The pastry case had lovely selections and the café was spotlessly clean and inviting, with plenty of seating and natural light—ideal for reading or catching up on work. Despite being downtown, the ambiance remained calm and comfortable  .

The staff was efficient and attentive. They offered helpful suggestions and confirmed my preferences (e.g. oat milk) without confusion—a refreshing contrast to other mixed experiences reported at this location  . My order arrived promptly, and the barista even decorated my cup with a cheerful doodle that definitely made my day.

A few travel tips: weekdays before 10 AM expected short lines, and though they accept mobile orders, I found walk‑in faster and smoother here  . They’re open early—typically from 6 AM (Mon–Sat) and 7 AM on Sunday, closing around 9 PM during the week and a bit later on weekends .

Overall, this Starbucks stands out in Gettysburg: excellent location, clean environment, efficient service, and that Starbucks consistency—all wrapped up with a personal touch. A top‑tier stop for coffee lovers in town!

“We went around 9:00, which seemed to be a very busy time for them. Cashier seemed to have a lot of trouble hearing orders and my coffee wasn’t -exactly- what I ordered, but it was still very good. I didn’t have the heart to tell her because she looked so defeated. She went on break not long after we got our order, so it might have just been a rough morning. We go to this Dunkin’ often and weren’t disappointed.

Kid-friendliness: My 3 y.o was kind of all over the place, but everyone was sweet to her. I like taking her places like this because it’s a good social experience.“
