However, one area for improvement is the portion of salsa. Two small salsas per plate feels a bit stingy, and charging extra for more, while not expensive, feels a bit unreasonable.

Overall, it’s still a great spot for a casual meal, but a little more generosity with the salsa would make the experience even better!“

“It was my first time with my local friend. The atmosphere was amazing. The place was beautiful, authentic, and great food. Service was super slow, but we eventually found out the waitress was alone. She was servicing all the tables by herself, and the place was full. She was very kind. Overall, it was a great experience.“

The chicken is juicy on the inside with a perfectly crisped skin, and the sides—especially the, black beans & rice, and the pico de gallo garden salad—are flavorful and generously portioned. I even had to splurge for a beef empanada appetizer and it was crispy on the outside with a very savory season filling that hit the right spot!

The space is clean and welcoming, with a casual vibe that’s great for families or a quick solo bite like I had. Service is fast and friendly, and even though they were busy, the staff kept things moving smoothly. I especially appreciated the variety of sauces—each one adds a unique kick to the meal.

Su comida marina como pulpo a la parrilla, o Jalea barra brava, o su leche de conchas Negras, de lejos el mejor Plato que he probado en Estados Unidos. “I went to Crisp and Juicy on April 23rd, in the evening alone. I hadn't been to the restaurant in a long time, so I was a little indecisive on what I wanted. The young lady that was at the register was as sweet as could be, and I'm sorry I didn't get her name. I wanted to order a platter for 2, and asked what her recommendation was to feed 2 people. So, I ordered what she recommended, and asked for a lot of sauce. The order came up quick, and I thanked her. Bless her. She gave me so much sauce. I just wanted everyone to know how much this impacted my evening, because my oldest daughter Ayanna loved your restaurant! She was murdered in 2020. She was 18 years old. “The biggest mistake this restaurant can make is just thinking about the money, for example, charging or adding the tip. Without the client's consent it is abuse, I do not agree. Tipping is optional and not required. They should improve because we won't go again and I don't mean we are stingy, we always leave good tips but I don't feel good that they charge me this way“

Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine. The customer service was outstanding, and Liz, the manager, demonstrated remarkable professionalism and assistance throughout the process. “This place is almost always hopping so we decided to try it for ourselves. The chicken was very flavorful and juicy, the yucca had good flavor but also was very soggy by the time we got home a little less than 10 minutes later. The beans were a bland, but the Peruvian fried rice was top notch.

It won't replace our normal go to spot for pollo a la brasa but it's easy to see why these guys have been in business since the 80s. Would definitely recommend trying this spot out.“

“We were initially reluctant to try this place because my son is vegetarian. So we were surprised by how much vegetarian options they had, not just sides. My son had the veggie burrito but they also had a veggie platter, veggie quesadillas, veggie empanadas, and taco salad (ask for no chicken). My husband had the salcipapa, which is a Peruvian street snack of sausages and fries. Nice clean sitting area too.“
