“Today on our way to run an errand at Walgreens next McDonald's. I called Charlotte's to place a carryout order. A man answered the phone and I placed my order and left my name. I was told food would be ready in 15 to 20 minutes. I arrived at Charlotte's right on time to get food. I dropped my mother off to run in as I doubled parked. She came out of the restaurant quickly and said that Charlotte's had no record of our order. The woman in charge behind the counter went further to tell us we had never placed an order and had lied about it. Mistakes happen, but people should not be treated this way. You have lost me as a future customer and I will be telling everyone I know this story.“

“Dear Mr. Anonymous, who "escorted" me out the door last night after demanding that I move my truck. I am 77, have two bad legs and knees (5 operations with metal inserts), had never been there before, and saw a car parked next to the building. I parked there, too. There were NO signs indicating the space as a no parking area. Put up a sign so old guys like me will know. I had to drive out to 522 to access Mercer Street, which you have now cut off as "private property". How can that be, when it was an open, two-way street I used for years before you fenced it off? I don't have a cell phone or facebook or any of that other crap that "everyone else" has that magically puts someone in the know: "You're the only one". You may have the best burgers in town - as I have been told - but I'll never know. I'll NEVER return, and hope we never cross paths again. Have a nice day.“

“We stopped here for lunch after experiencing the Berkeley Hot Springs right across the street, and we are glad we did. From the moment you step in the door, the overall vibe is great - very upbeat - and the staff is genuinely welcoming.\n\nBoth of our sandwiches were very good - freshly made, top-notch ingredients and generous quantities. The selection of cold drinks is good, and if you skip the variety of fresh cookies and other baked treats in the display case, well ... let's just say you were strongly advised Not to do that! We left full and satisfied. And with some pretty cool artwork created by some of the amazing local talent in Berkeley Springs.\n\nAn afternoon stop for coffee was equally good. It's heartening to know that a good cup of coffee that doesn't taste like burnt tree bark is still possible to buy in today's world.“
