“10/10 recommend A Lot O’ Gelato! The owner is so kind and has some of the best flavors ever!!! The other week I told her I was coming the next day to get another pint of the Island Coconut Gelato (my favorite) and she noticed she was getting low on it and didn’t want to risk getting busy and not having enough so she made my pint and put it in the back for me so it was already ready when I came in to get it!!! Literally best customer service ever!!!“

“We recently tried Angelo's Brick Oven Pizza for the first time since it's been in the mall. In our opinion, it's hands down the best pizza in the area!! We have stopped in every Friday since for Pizza night! I love that they have curbside because I typically pick up with my toddler and do not have to get her out of the car to pick it up. “Order here twice a month and sometimes more. If you order during the week the staff and food is great and have never had an issue. If you order on the weekend you get less food (for me) and have made mistakes on my order (left off the tomato, lettuce, or cheese etc.) They use quality meats and a variety of cheese. The bread is fresh but have had a stale sub roll from time to time. The staff is always helpful and very friendly. The soda machine is clean and so is the location. Sub shop seating.“

What an unexpected gem to discover in the middle of West Virginia! The restaurant is run by a former Marine, and we were personally greeted by the owner, who prepared a fresh pizza right in front of us, complete with a delicious assortment of toppings.

Oh my, was it good! So good, in fact, that we ended up ordering two more pies to take home!

Everything about this pizza reminded me of what I loved about New York pizza. The crust had that perfect crunch on the outside while remaining soft and airy on the inside, with a wonderful hint of olive oil. The tomato sauce was rich, beautifully seasoned, and bursting with flavor, complemented by delicious mozzarella melted to perfection. Every bite was a reminder of how good a properly made New York pizza can be.

And here’s what impressed me even more. When we got home, we reheated the extra pizzas slowly in the oven, taking our time to bring them back to temperature. They hadn’t lost a thing! The crust was still wonderful, the flavors just as vibrant, and the cheese just as delicious. They tasted almost every bit as good as they had fresh out of Giovanni’s oven. Now that’s the sign of a pizza made right!

And the value? Almost unbelievable! Less than ten dollars for two generously sized slices, made fresh to order, and a drink. These days, finding that combination of quality, authenticity, and affordability is a rarity.

Giovanni’s is proof that you don’t have to be in New York to enjoy a fantastic New York-style pizza. Great food, genuine hospitality, and exceptional value. We came in expecting a quick bite and left with two extra pizzas and a new favorite spot.
