“Everytime we come here it's 5 stars but last night was more like 10 stars! We came with a large party to celebrate an anniversary and our server, Josh, handled it like an absolute pro! All meals were excellent, cake service was perfect, and we all had a great time. We had 18 people and drinks were refilled promptly, meals came out correctly and it was just great all around. Excellent food, service and hospitality. Definitely come here for your special occasions!! Oh and always order the special, the stuffed seafood shells were amazing“

“I fell in love with hard ciders in the 2000s in England. I dont mean the commercial stuff at the city sports bars. I mean the hazy, profoundly complex brews that are naturally fermented found at rural pubs. Those are truly flavorful bevies with tannins and astringency - swirling with earthy and herbal notes and deeply fruity aromas cut with satisfying vinous tartness. The aftertaste just goes on forever. And each of these ciders were unique with their own strong personalities. After returning to the US, I was unable to find this kind of cider, despite visiting as many as i could find in california, virginia and various atlantic coastal regions. Today i found it again here! The first sip brought tears to my eyes. This is true cider! i could keep writing but it cannot capture the magical liquid Eric captures in his bottles! Also, please dont review if you have already made up your mind that cider should only taste like angry orchard, strong bow or bold rock. These ciders are categorically different from those; as different as coors is from belgian lambics.“

“We had a wonderful experience at South Mountain Creamery! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our visit even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was getting to see and pet the cows, which was so much fun for both kids and adults. It's clear the animals are well cared for, and the farm has a great family-friendly atmosphere. We loved spending time there and will definitely be back. Highly recommend a visit! 🐄🥛😊“

“Long post ahead, warning! I walked in around 9 pm and the hostess didn't bat an eye at my dining alone, and didn't say anything about it, which I appreciate. I was seated right away with no problems and immediately got a chance to look over the menu. I will admit, it took a little bit longer than expected for my waiter to come over, but as a lone diner I sort of expected that. I looked like I was waiting for someone, I'm sure. The look and feel of the place was very upscale, but they didn't have any problems with me walking in wearing a nerdy t-shirt. I was seated in this cute little booth for 2 with curtains on the side so, if I wanted a more private dinner, I could have it. It was a cute touch! The restaurant also offered patio dining and since it's by the creek, that would have been a downright charming experience were it not the usual Maryland summer. Despite having a bar, the restaurant was respectably quiet and low-key, making it an easy dining experience. I wasn't in the mood for something wild, and this place really hit the nail on the head. My first waiter Kevin, however, was the picture of polite helpfulness. He answered all of my questions, made some wonderful suggestions, and was incredibly pleasant to talk to. I was delighted to find out that this place takes part in DC restaurant week, so I was able to take part in that promotion. Under a suggestion from Kevin, I ordered a glass of their moscato (I wanted something light and sweet), and the wine was so good I brought home a whole bottle. Not really on them, but it does reflect their excellent selection. Dinner itself was delicious. The red pepper soup was refreshing and flavorful, without being too filling. The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection and was flavored in the perfect way to make the actual flavor of the meat shine. The potatoes were both light and fluffy, but also had the little chunks of potato that I prefer in my mashed. The best part was desert. About halfway through my appetizer, Kevin introduced my other waiter, Maddy, who took over after he went home. She was as much of a delight as he was, and made possibly the best recommendation of the night. Desert was this blackberry tart that I did not have room for but could not put down. Gooey and crumbly all at once, with a warm center that was almost caramel-y even though it was fruit based. Topped with a light cream to balance it all out, it was absolutely delicious. I will be thinking of that tart all day tomorrow. The prices on the menu were a little high, but I wouldn't go so far to say they were unreasonable. If I had wanted a cheaper option, I could have gone to any chain restaurant ever. In the grand scheme of downtown Frederick, with it's many small businesses and one of a kind dining experiences, I think this was reasonable. For reference, a lot of meals were between $20 and $30, but a good steak is almost always $30+. Despite the price, I had an exceptional dining experience, and would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for upscale dining, without the upscale requirements.“

“First time there, the food was delicious. Best we've had in years. The arancini were crispy and hot with a delicious tomato sauce. I had shrimp arrabbiata. Fantastic. Andrea had the mushroom ravioli. That was an earthy, tasty treat pack with mushrooms. Love the cafe style. Will go back as often as we can.“

“Cow's Cones is the best ice cream shop around! It has a great location being in the country with a wooded setting along National Pike (US-40 Alt), very close to Greenbrier State Park. They have the smoothest, and creamiest ice cream that melts in your mouth. They fill your cone and cup up to the top, and don't skimp on the ice cream servings. The staff is super friendly, and it's an all around fun, clean, and happy atmosphere. Cow's Cones has several outdoor games to play including everyone's favorite game, cornhole. I believe this is the only local ice cream shop that has flavor burst ice cream. My favorite flavor is cotton candy flavor burst. If you haven't ever tried flavor burst ice cream, you need to very soon. It is phenomenal! Cow's Cones is pet friendly, and they even serve pup cups for your faithful companion to enjoy too. Lots of ice cream creations to try. Everything they sell is at a decent price. I highly recommend Cow's Cones to everyone wanting to have a pleasant evening while enjoying ice cream in a relaxing country setting.“

“My husband and I visited Pathfinder Farm Distillery Tasting Room and Cocktail Bar last Saturday during their five-year celebration. We sampled several of their flavored moonshines and enjoyed each one. We shared the special cocktail flight and then enjoyed a full size drink a piece. Dani greeted us upon our arrival and showed us around the tasting room and the patio. She was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant! She really made our visit fun. While this was our first visit, it certainly won't be our last!“

“We had our sisters/mom/aunt day here this month (June) for croquet and a wine tasting, and I must say this was our best family day yet!
The hosts/owners were absolutely amazing and so hospitable. They took the time to answer all of our questions about the wines and were incredibly patient while teaching us how to play croquet.

“First time visiting Brookside Inn and we were blown away! The food was outstanding. The menu is so descriptive that it makes you want to try everything you’d honestly have to come back multiple times just to experience it all. We also loved that they support Hemp’s Meat, a local meat locker. The staff was absolutely phenomenal. Our waitress, Kaylor, was incredible she memorized all of our orders and provided excellent service throughout the entire meal. Everything was cooked to perfection. My husband had the jalapeño burger, I had the beef brisket sandwich, and our daughter ordered the buffalo wings. The wings alone were worth the money very meaty and cooked perfectly. We’re already looking forward to going back and truly believe this will become our new go-to dining spot!“

“Went to the olney location for the first time for my dad’s birthday yesterday. This place is awesome. The ribs are some of the best I’ve ever had. Ton of meat and it falls right off the bone. We had 3 racks between 4 adults and 3 kids and I’m eating leftovers tonight again. I give it a 5 out of 5 . Go here and eat!!!“

“Best taco trucks in have been too recently. They gave lots of meat and everything. The burritos were our favorite and while the salsa is a little spicy by itself once it is mixed in it just enhances the flavor. The one thing to note is they are cash only so come prepared for that.“

The female I ordered were medium and small sizes, but Jeff was very transparent with us and offered very good price. This will be our go to place for crabs.“

“My husband and I have been Big Cork members for a few years now and have always loved everything about it. The wines are great, the views are amazing, and it’s close to home for us. This past weekend our love for Big Cork grew immensely as we hosted our baby shower here and had the best time. Our guests raved about the wine and the entire place. My favorite part was our event coordinator, Tracy. She was absolutely amazing! She checked in often to make sure I was good (at 32 weeks pregnant, this meant the world), that our guests were good, and that the event was running just as we had imagined. I can’t thank her enough for all of her help and how sweet and accommodating she was to us and our guests. The venue speaks for itself but my wife Raven and I really want to give thanks to Brian, Loree and the rest of the team at Springfield Manor. From the communications before the wedding to the wedding day itself they were fantastic.

Brian and the team were always responsive to our questions.
We also noticed how Brian treats his team members cuz it extended to how his team treated us and our guests .

“Hands down, King's has the BEST Sicilian pizza in Frederick County, and even Washington County. We lived in Brunswick for only a few years and still drive back simply to get a Sicilian. It is absolutely worth a drive.

Their spinach pie is AMAZING too. 🥰🥰“
