“I was devastated when I showed up for my reservation today when I realized my reservation was actually for tomorrow, but I left feeling QUITE the opposite.The hostess (I did not catch her name) told us she could squeeze us in as long as we didn’t stay past a certain time (which was so generous and more than enough time to begin with). We ordered our drinks, and when the drinks came, the (manager? bartender? i’m not sure) brought them out and even included a drink he said he created the recipe for yesterday and wanted our thoughts on it! all of the drinks were amazing. the hostess came to our table and told us she even moved reservations around so we didnt have to feel rushed (wish we didn’t to begin with)! it was just so sweet. our food was just as good, if not better. our server (anthony) was so kind.i had high expectations of the food going into dinner but the service was just as great!“

“I'd come back for a slice. Located inside the Western Market on/near GW University. A little hard to find, yelp map doesn't match actual location (used google maps instead). Ordered a half margarita half pepperoni pie. Was hungry so ordered a slice of margarita pizza while we waited. The slice was awesome!!! The crust was crispy airy and delicious. Disappointed a little with the crust on the whole pie... it wasn't crispy at all... a little chewy. Tasted like two completely different pizza spots. Service was friendly. There was room for small or medium sized groups with seating in the back or out in the market place walk way. They had a large selection of drinks including beer/wine/etc.“

“Good spot is Georgetown for Italian.It’s in a nice location near the canal and close to the waterfront. Dinner time and sometimes lunch are very busy here. During three week for dinner is not so bad especially after the rush.The interior environment is not very conducive to conversing. The noise levels are more intrusive than other restaurants. That’s why a weekday dinner here is nicer especially if on a date.A good option is takeout for pizza.The pasta and meatballs are very good.“

“This was our second time visiting Giovanni's Trattu. The restaurant is very small with approximately 50 seats, so reservations are a must. We visited mid-week at 6:30 (with a reservation). We were seated immediately upon our arrival. We were a party of 2. We ordered garlic bread, we split a Caesar Salad, we both chose the Chicken Parmesan, and we had the Spumoni Bomba for dessert. The garlic bread was a bit bland. I would pass on that next time. The salad was good. But the Chicken Parmesan was one of the best we have ever had. Definitely a wonderful choice. And the Bomba was great as well. It gets busy and with a small family run restaurant they get a little overwhelmed. The service was good and the people are friendly. Make this one of your stops when in the area!“

“Street parking and garage parking nearby in old town. We made a reservation but your entire party needs to be here before being sat. We had a couple people in our party late and by the time we were ready to be sat, we probably waited an additional 15 minutes. This place gets packed! A good deal for bottomless brunch though and the food is pretty good. It's a little loud in here but a cute place and we did really enjoy the food. I definitely recommend their pizza and pastas! We loved the pasta Alla zozzona and the Diavola pizza. Also enjoyed the Breakfast Bruschetta and would definitely recommend the house made Donuts! We started off with their eggplant appetizer, which was full roasted eggplant -- delicious. For the main entree, I was debating between their grilled calamari and the scallops and the server recommended we share a half portion of the calamari and get the scallops. Great recommendation. The scallops were out of this world and a generous portion too. My wife's fish was delicious as well. No complaints about anything. The prices are a bit on the higher side but it's worth it when the food and the ambiance matches expectations. A definite 5 star for me.“

After dinner, we went to a show (Shear Madness) at John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. We ordered the following and here are my ratings Drinks (Baby Amarone, Tito, Spritz, Mojito, Bellini) - 9/10 Food (Octupus, Garlic Bread, Eggplant Parm, Fusili Crab Meat, Margherita Pizza) - 9/10 Desserts (Tiramisu) - **5/10** and Cappuccino - 9/10 Service - 9/10 I always feel there is a scope to improve the quality of the food. So, maximum score is 9 out 10. Tiramisu - It is not to the standard, and it is based on my experience eating Italian food for more than 30 years at other restaurants in NY, NJ, PA, DE, VA and MD. Also, this is my favorite dessert, especially if I am at an Italian restaurant. I strongly recommend Osteria Da Nino and will go back with more friends!!“

“My son and I ate at Bacio today and let me say we had a wonderful experience. We sat on the cute patio and it was so peaceful and quiet, you wouldn’t know you were in the middle of DC. The server was friendly and attentive. I liked the alcohol selection, and had wine. We enjoyed mozzarella sticks which we could tell were made in house and not just reheated from frozen like in most other places. The pizza my son got was fresh and delicious. I enjoyed my arugula salad with shrimp. I wish they were a little more cooked but that is a personal preference. The desserts very very good too, we really liked the limoncello raspberry cake. “They definitely don't do things by half measures here, this place is flamboyant in the best way. Huge portion sizes, huge amount of decorations, huge hospitality. We went during spring and they had Easter decorations EVERYWHERE. Started off with their meatballs, which were tender and flavorful (loved the marinara sauce they used). I ordered the lobster cardinale, which was like if you married a really good lobster bisque together with pasta. It's pricey but they don't skimp on the quality of the ingredients (has giant chunks of perfectly cooked lobster). Definitely recommend. My sister had the sausage rigatoni, which was also very good, although didn't stand out to me as much. For dessert, we got the hazelnut cake, and our waiter even gave us some complimentary amaretto, which was a really nice way to finish the meal.“

I don't think the pizza was worth it as it reminded me of dry frozen pizza that I could've baked myself for a fraction of the cost. The lemon cake was delicious however! The owners were very sweet when I went to pick up my food and even gave me a small discount-- an even $20 instead of $21 and some change haha. I would come back to try their cheesesteaks, but would avoid the pizza in all honesty.“
