“This is a typical bar with with bar food. No Different than TGI Friday, except a little better. The service is "OK" the servers are untrained as to waiting on tables. The first thing that should be brought to tables is eating utensils and napkins, the water. The tables dont have slat & pepper available for their patrons, you need to ask for it. The menus are not placed in front of customers upside down. (And I even brought it to her attention and she still didn’t correct it) ?? All in all the server was trying very hard to be attentive. The food was not terrible, it's typical bar food, and dont expect anything more. The Boom Boom shrimp are pre breaded frozen shrimp with the tails on and then fried and covered in some type of sauce. My daughter liked the boneless chicken wings with hot sauce. The onion rings I thought were good. I ordered the toasted Italian sub and wasn't offered the option to get tater tots -vs- fries. I didn’t realize this till later and the fries were soggy. I think this is an "OK" spot for someone looking for a bar atmosphere and same for the food & service.“

The flavor is great, and it's tender and juicy. I got an order of plantains the other day, and they were honestly the best Ive had at a restaurant. I like my plantains a certain way, not cut too thick, not slimy, and a little crisp around the edges... they got it perfectly. Their veggie chunks and curry chickpeas are great, even for the non-vegans. Service is impeccable, and I've always been treated well, with prompt attention. Even when it's busy, the staff maintains great service. The dining area is clean and well decorated, and is great for a solo visit, group trip, or even to host/attend an event. I've done them all. “I have been a Dough Run “regular” since shortly after they first opened. The food is wonderful. Unlike many other eateries, they have not gone to cheaper ingredients since the pandemic and you can tell by how fresh and tasty everything is. The sweets are amazing and if you are gluten-free they have an increasing number of items available for you. I highly recommend the gf/v “gruffins” and the lemon squares when available are not to be missed!“

Looks like a typical eat-in take-out Asian eatery, but looks can be deceiving. Not just the quantity but the quality of the food is top notch!! Pho was ready in a flash but tastes like it simmered all day long. The rare steak was sliced thin and cooked in the delicious broth. The meatballs were not the typical frozen ones but were authentic and delicious. I HIGHLY recommend trying this place for a change of pace, then you will be hooked. 5 STARS from me, I will be returning with friends.“

“My husband and I had a late breakfast at the Timonium location on December 27, 2024. Upon arrival, at almost 11:30 AM, the hostess named Samantha, was seating another group of people. We watched Samantha clean tables, set place settings, before returning and seating us. We soon took note that this very pleasant hostess/greeter was taking on several jobs: we watched her methodically bus tables, return to awaiting guests in line and proceed to repeat the same process...while also being the cashier for departing guests who were paying their bill. As more and more people arrived, we watched Samantha's professionalism never waiver. Our waitress named Kelly was also pleasant. She quickly took our order and soon returned with drinks. Not long later, another kitchen helper returned with our plates of food. I commented on how well everyone was working and gave a special appreciation to Samantha. We observed Samantha rearrange tables to accommodate groups of people while maintaining her warm smile that revealed her love for her job and customers! The food was delicious, and the service was above standard. Employees at this location really work well together but Kudos to Ms. Samantha who worked above and beyond expectations!!!“

I was greeted in a very professional manner and was seated immediately. My server, named Abby, was very pleasant and immediately took my drink order while allowing me to review the menu. Walter brought my drink to the table and explained the special items that weren't on the menu. He was just as pleasant and professional. “If you walk into Yesh Hummus hungry, you will walk out full, happy, and questioning your life decisions—in the best possible way.

I came in “just for something small,” you know, classic Lakewood guy lie #1. The portions here are so big I’m convinced they’re measured with a shovel, not a spoon. The plate hits the table and suddenly you’re like, “Wait… did I accidentally order the family-size catering package?”

The shawarma? Warm, perfectly seasoned, and piled so high it’s basically a structural engineering miracle. The hummus is smoother than a yeshivishe bochur trying to get out of helping set up for a simcha. And the pita… fresh, soft, and disappears way too fast because you keep saying “one more dip,” until you realize you’ve eaten half of it before the mains even arrive.

Service is quick, friendly, and no-nonsense. They know what you want before you figure it out yourself. You sit down, blink twice, and suddenly your whole table is covered. Mamash hashgacha pratis.

Inside, it can get a little chilly—bring a jacket unless you’re the type who claims “I’m not cold” while visibly shivering. But honestly, between the sizzling grill and the huge plates, you won’t be thinking about the temperature for long.

Bottom line:
If you want delicious, fresh, Israeli-style food that actually fills you up, Yesh Hummus is the place.
Just don’t pretend you’ll have leftover room. We all know you won’t.
