“If you walk into Yesh Hummus hungry, you will walk out full, happy, and questioning your life decisions—in the best possible way.

I came in “just for something small,” you know, classic Lakewood guy lie #1. The portions here are so big I’m convinced they’re measured with a shovel, not a spoon. The plate hits the table and suddenly you’re like, “Wait… did I accidentally order the family-size catering package?”

The shawarma? Warm, perfectly seasoned, and piled so high it’s basically a structural engineering miracle. The hummus is smoother than a yeshivishe bochur trying to get out of helping set up for a simcha. And the pita… fresh, soft, and disappears way too fast because you keep saying “one more dip,” until you realize you’ve eaten half of it before the mains even arrive.

Service is quick, friendly, and no-nonsense. They know what you want before you figure it out yourself. You sit down, blink twice, and suddenly your whole table is covered. Mamash hashgacha pratis.

Inside, it can get a little chilly—bring a jacket unless you’re the type who claims “I’m not cold” while visibly shivering. But honestly, between the sizzling grill and the huge plates, you won’t be thinking about the temperature for long.

Bottom line:
If you want delicious, fresh, Israeli-style food that actually fills you up, Yesh Hummus is the place.
Just don’t pretend you’ll have leftover room. We all know you won’t.

Might have been a good temperature on another night but with the holiday crowd it was unpleasant but they were able to seat us near the door and had no other trouble all night. “We ordered a shiva platter on Sunday for delivery on Wednesday at 11am. We used this place before 8 months ago also with a Wednesday delivery. Around 11:30 we started getting anxious about the food arriving. Seeing as the food was coming to Harrisburg from Baltimore I waited until 11:50 to call. The person on the phone said one delivery time they had was 10:30, then another said it was a 2 pm delivery time. We finally got to speak to someone higher up. They had someone leave immediately. We were told that deliveries on Wednesday don’t go out until 2pm. Nobody made us aware of this and 8 months ago we had no issues with an 11am delivery time. The order came with coffee and the time on it was 9:30, had the order come on time the coffee would have been the proper temperature. The order didn’t leave Baltimore until after 12, so the coffee was lukewarm. By the time we got home from my father in law’s funeral the food was here and set up thanks to a great friend helping. My advice is, if you use this establishment for catering CALL to confirm. The presentation of the food was great and the food delicious. Very frustrating not to have gotten an apology when we had written confirmation of 11am delivery time.“

“My experience at Oleum was wonderful. Let me be clear and say that I am not vegan. I live by the motto that bacon makes everything better! I sometimes have meals that are vegetarian, but almost never vegan. Why? Because most of the vegan choices I've had are bland, filled with fluff, and just questionable.

That was not the case at Oleum. First, there are a plethora of choices for everyone, in all the categories from starters to mains and desserts.

Everything that came out was delicious. There is thought placed into every dish and each ingredient serves a purpose. It is rare to find such a culinary delight.

I can imagine that for vegans whether for health reasons, or personal choice, finding a good place to eat that you can trust would be difficult. But look no further. This is your place. “TL;DR, lots of great menu items for a diverse range of tastes. Desserts are great. Excellent choice for a night out amongst beautiful grown folks. They got vegan oxtail!

First, let me say that it's always a vibe here. The decor is beautiful, and I love how they have multiple little pockets of seating that aren't 100% identical. The music is always on point, and I LOVE the live DJ nights! The ambiance is so elevated, so chic, and perfect for the vegan crowd to enjoy a meal along with that upscale lounge type of vibe.

Speaking of the meals, the food is incredible. It's obvious that they care about the taste, the presentation, and the feeling that you get when you eat there. Sadly, I was having such a good time, I forgot to take pics, but I'll come back with an edit when I visit again. My go-to items are the street corn elote and the Philly Cheezsteak egg rolls, but I also love the General Tso’s Chik’n and I heard great things about most of the other items as well. My group tonight had orders that spanned most of the menu, and nobody was disappointed. The vegan oxtail is something you have to specifically ask for, but give it a try. Definitely had me giving a side-eye because the flavor and texture... thought they slipped a meat dish in there for a second, lol... but nope, it was vegan too. Oh, and the apple dessert was good, but the plantain dessert was GREAT! My recommendation, get both lol.

The best part about tonight is that I was able to work with the staff in advance to make sure they could seamlessly accommodate our group of 22 people, and they made it so easy and stress-free. I sent our pre-selected items in advance to make it easier to have everyone's order, and the team delivered flawlessly! Our server Taylor was phenomenal and checked in with me very often to make sure I and my guests were doing okay. She held us down and I will always request her as my server. You can tell that she genuinely cares about people having a pleasant time, and I was so grateful for her. Other staff helped with bringing food out and clearing plates, and I appreciated that level of teamwork.

I'm not a club girly, but I love a good festive atmosphere around happy people. I'm not even a vegan, but I love a good meal. And for the non-drinkers, there are some great mocktails to enjoy. Here, you get a that and then some.“

Kai has brought an exceptionally superior Vegan cuisine to our area and even with the Baltimore metro area’s rise in Vegan restaurants Dodah’s Kitchen is clearly one of the best, and absolutely should be the restaurant on everyone’s “bucket” list. Meet Kai, talk with her and one will soon realize that Dodah’s is a literal extension, an aspect of her being.
