“TRY THE FAMILY STYLE. My husband and I have eaten here plenty of times but this time we had our kids with us. We tried the family style menu and we're extremely impressed by the portion sizes and how everything was served. We were given the option of two appetizers which were huge and plenty to split amongst four people. In addition, we had two large salads, one of which we didn't even touch because one salad was enough for the family of four. Our waitress suggested several menu options which the kids and I loved. My husband was able to get his favorite rigatoni D. We all still had so much food at the end of our meal that we packed most of it up for leftovers. The best part of the family meal was the desserts. Small portions of each of the desserts on their menu were served, allowing the kids in my husband and I to try a piece of each one. We left extremely happy and full.“

“Manor Hill is an absolute gem located in Old Ellicott City! The service is always amazing and the servers create a very welcoming environment. It's definitely a little louder of an environment so that's something to keep in mind. I could go on and on about the pizzas, they're definitely something everyone needs to try. It's meant for one person but I always have leftovers so you could definitely share it with someone. The street fries are an absolute must try if you come here. They have a solid menu of cocktails, as well as some fantastically-named game and movie themed ones. All drinks tasted good, and we had some small appetizers that were fine. This place is worth checking out if you're in town and want to get a cocktail! They also have many events, so check out their lineup to see if anything is of interest (e.g., make your own infused vodka lesson).“

“This is a great place for kids of the 80s and 90s and their kids. An entire room filled with vintage/throwback video games that still only cost a quarter. Food is good with many apps that'll keep the kids satisfied in between games. Beer selection could be better, but they do have some local favorites like Heavy Seas.“

“My wife and I stopped in on a Friday evening during happy hour to taste the food and experience the atmosphere of a place I've driven by hundreds of times. The bar area was almost full. We found two seats at the bar. The numerous TVs were tuned to the current sporting event at the time. Light conversation was occurring all around us. Our bartender tended to us quickly and got our drink orders promptly. I ordered off the regular menu as opposed to the happy hour menu. I ordered the Blackened Chicken Penne Pasta. It came in due time and was excellent. It's a large portion, so be prepared to undue the top button of your trousers or get a doggie bag. I'd definitely come here again, maybe to watch an O's game.“

“I have been eyeing this place for a while since I've been on the hunt for really good tonkatsu meals. It was one of the handful to pop up as a recommendation for the Ellicott area. I'm proud to say that I've found it-- the best tonkatsu restaurant. The waiter was very nice and attentive, and it paired well with the calm ambiance. There's pretty lights and seating. It was not busy at all when we visited but I hope in the future it will get a lot more popular-- because this place is such a golden find! We ordered the tonkatsu (pork cutlet) with curry, the chicken katsu curry, and takoyaki balls! The breading in the meat was so crispy, and the meat was plentiful, with good ratio. There was no fat pieces found in any of our meals. The food was also cooled to an edible temperature that you could consume once it was served! The curry comes on the side in a large cup, ensuring your meat does not get soggy. Overall, very affordable and it has satisfied my search for best tonkatsu at an affordable price with great service Please visit Karè Bar!“

“Went back to the Trolley Stop for the first time in over ten years and had a good time and meal. Wife and I split a Caesar salad and French Onion Soup as course #1, the Caesar salad with blackened chicken was delicious, like really really great, the way they dressed it was just perfect and the chicken was not "too blackened" just right. The French onion soup was very good, tasty and cheesy but not too cheesy, just right. For our entrees, my wife and I split a mushroom, bacon, swiss burger and the French Dip. The French dip was probably the lowest point of the night, you had to pay extra to get it with cheese and fried onions (that put the sandwich up close to $20) and it just wasn't that great, not bad, but nothing special, just a big pile of roast beef that needed a dip in the au jus to taste good. The Swiss Bacon burger was delicious, cooked perfectly to medium (so many places overcook when you ask for medium, this had a perfect pink center), very tasty bacon, just very good. Our trip was probably 4.5 stars, we will come back!“

Not too much of beeer choices though I loved the IPA they gave . Chicken wings was also really good . Right spice and well made . “I rented this place for a surprise party and when I tell you they didn’t disappoint, I mean they were EXCEPTIONAL! Vero kept in constant contact with me from beginning to end. She made me feel like a family member with her kindness. Even her daughter came in on the day of the party and helped set up the slide show! Jimmy worked so hard to make it perfect and it was also his birthday!! Our bartenders, Angel and Tiffany were phenomenal, not just with drinks but personality too! Angel even came in early to help us set up! The staff at On The Rocks made it so easy that everyone, myself included was able to relax and enjoy the night. Oh and did I mention the food?! Delicious!!! HUGE thank you to everyone at On The Rocks. My daughter and I came here to celebrate my birthday - and Ananda did not disappoint! My mood was majorly elevated the moment we walked in the door and took in the gorgeous lavishness that is Ananda. From the warm and welcoming greeting to the decadent desserts this was a 5+ experience! We had Vegetable Samosa Chaat for an appetizer (enough for a whole meal!), Mint and Chili Naan (you must try!), Lamb Vindaloo, Fish Curry, and a side of Palak Paneer. For drinks we had the non-alcohol Organic Berry Smash and Goji Iced Tea both of which were delicious! “I've walked past Martini Bar a ton of times but never stopped for a drink. I finally stopped by for a drink when I was flying out of BWI last month. My martini (I went with a classic dirty vodka martini, but they have a full menu of martinis and other cocktails) was good, and I really loved all of outlets for charging. The service was really good, and it was a great place to have a cocktail (or did I have two?) and do a little work or reading while waiting for a flight.“

“I love Kloby's! The food is fantastic, the service welcoming and thoughtful. We celebrated a special date starting with the pork belly deviled eggs and jalapeño pork balls. The deviled eggs were my favorite (who doesn't love a deviled egg?); hubby loved the spicy pork balls. Both are must tries! Careful though, the spicy pork balls have a kick to them (increased just a smidge by the sauce they sit in), that you may not notice until you've eaten the entire thing! Make sure you have water to sip because they are just that good! For our mains we had the meal pictured below, though I had to bring a serving of the Jar-B-Que home to eat for lunch the next day. I will not let another year go by before visiting again!“

“Excellent salads. “Baby Salads” were large and tasty before our entrées. I had the shrimp carbonara which was very nice with large shrimp. 2 others had the scallops special with risotto and loved it. Large portions which we all enjoyed as leftovers the next night. Heath Bar bread pudding with vanilla ice cream was a decadent ending. Service was good, but we were seated by the kitchen which was the only minor disappointment of the evening.“
