“I’ll be honest, I was both excited and skeptical about trying Wonder when it first opened. The whole concept seemed a little strange to me, and I wasn’t sure how it would actually work. Since they were offering 50% off for first time customers when I went, I figured it was worth a try.

We ordered a pizza from Alanza, a double cheeseburger from Burger Baby, and a Build Your Own Bowl from El Diez. Funny enough, the burger, which was the item I was least excited about based on how it looked, ended up being my favorite. It was honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. The pizza was a little overdone, but I actually like my pizza that way, so no complaints there. The bowl was good too, though I felt like it was missing a little something. Maybe some extra lime or cilantro would have given it more of that fresh Mexican flavor.

I’d definitely come back and try some of the other restaurants they have. I also really liked the atmosphere. It was quiet, clean, and didn’t feel chaotic, which was nice. The kitchen area looked especially clean, which always leaves a good impression.

If you’ve been curious about Wonder and are looking to try something different, I’d say it’s worth checking out, especially while they’re offering 50% off for new customers. There’s a huge variety of food options, so it’s easy for everyone in your group to find something they’ll enjoy. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and left more impressed than I expected to be.“

“I’ve been here multiple times and every time I come, the experience has been great. The wings are delicious and there are so many different sauce flavors to choose from. The service has also always been great, as the workers are super nice and they get your food and drinks out to you quickly.“

“Wow! We ordered carryout from Ellie’s Tavern and were absolutely blown away. The food was incredible — huge portions, hand-cut fries, house-made blue cheese, and perfectly hand-breaded chicken tenders. The Crab Rangoon dip and Buffalo Cauliflower were outstanding. “Marta manages to be both lively and cozy simultaneously in a rowhouse that previously housed Salt (one of my all time favorite upscale restaurants) We went for a friend's birthday, and all 3 courses were delicious, beautifully presented, inventive, and not the same old menu that you find everywhere. Very sweet wait staff was super attentive, educated about the food and wine and made great suggestions. Our original wait staff had an emergency and had to leave in the middle of service, but seamlessly another wait person stepped in to covered us. Kudos to the front of house team for handling with such skill and ease. But the food was definitely the star of the show. For me, the standout was the tuna cannoli. I'm not even sure I can do justice to this deliciousness with a crunchy outer "cannoli" shell with a slight hint of sweet surrounding a creamy center of tuna crudi with little dots of avocado cream. And all was covered with a pistachio "dust." The spicy meatballs were delectable nestled in a cloud of creamy spicy ricotta. And the Duck and Foie Gras Panzotti (little triangle ravioli) was creamy, delicious and the perfect combination of delicate tastes. And the Tiramisu Affogato ended the dinner on a delicious note! “The is a true local gem. The bar is decorated in a 1970’s theme. They offer old timey beers like Stroh’s and Schaefer as well as inventive cocktails. “This is my favorite place to go in Baltimore. Aside from my house. I don't know what to point out as the deciding factor, but it just feels comfortable to me. The food is good, not great — I absolutely love the French Dip Cheesesteak. The wait staff and bartenders are always beyond friendly. We've done trivia nights and game days and quiet nights. My wife absolutely loves the dirty martini. Her favorite in the city. And it's a short walk from my home. I hope it's here for another 100 years.“

Steve the bartender is currently a one man show and we were there on the weekend it reopened and he was so happy to be back in his happy place. The man is a cocktail maven who loves his craft and what he does and his customers as well.

There is currently no menu here you ask for what you want or can tell Steve what you are in the mood for and he will make something amazing!

I got a smoked old fashioned that he smokes with his own blend of wood and spices and it was easily in the Top 5 of best old fashioneds I've ever had.

“We were a little surprised to start the evening by ringing a doorbell to get in, but the warm welcome that followed put us at ease right away. The atmosphere is fantastically unique, quirky, and full of character. The bartenders were genuinely friendly and the service was quick.

We ordered the Mac ’n’ Cheese with Jerk Chicken, Yuca Bites, Chorizo con Arroz y Gandules and the Cinnamon Mini Donuts. Everything was perfectly seasoned (especially great if you enjoy a bit of heat like we do). The only downside was that the portions felt a bit on the smaller side.

It also looks like they host a lot of interesting events like book readings, sip-and-paints, comedy shows and more. We didn’t get a chance to attend one this time, but it definitely added to the charm and made us want to come back.“

You can tell they truly care about their customers and take pride in making events seamless and memorable. “Starting with the food, we had a great kahuna burger with fries and the churros for dessert. The burger was great with some really tasty onions on top and a nice balance of the teriyaki on the burger. The churro was also delicious with a nice soft bitter chocolate flavor to the dipping sauce that balanced well with the sweetness of the churro. I love the idea of being able to do arts and crafts while enjoying a drink and some food with friends after work. We could see how lovely it got shortly after the end of the work day and there was even a jewelry class going on while we were there. If you live nearby and aren’t checking this place out every so often you’re missing out!“
