“I went to this location for the first time tonight. Usually I go to other ones that are closer to where I live or work, but I happened to be in the area. There were (3) young ladies all working very hard as it was towards the closing time. I was politely greeted by the first person I saw behind the counter. After a few seconds passed the cashier walked up and asked me if I was ready to place my order. My favorite smoothie is the "Mango Berry Cosmo" (without turbinado) which happens to be a seasonal recipe and not always readily available. She cheerfully agreed to make the smoothie herself, as a courtesy. It was delicious and the service was stellar. Long story short, great location with great people. Looking forward to coming again soon. Good vibes!“

“Possibly the best food I’ve ever had in the DMV meets incredible service. They didn’t have the dessert we wanted, so they comped us the one we chose instead. Also, as someone who is sensitive to gluten, dairy, corn, and peanuts, eating out is often extremely tricky and limited, but I was able to choose from maybe 70% of their menu, which is super impressive. Great spot if you have dietary restrictions and want a lot of options.Just a note, you definitely want a reservation. “On a recent work trip to DC we were looking for pre-event fuel. Smoothies are the perfect snack to leave you feeling full but with the pep in your step you need to host an event. We all opted for the Blue Mystique which has banana, spirulina, banana, pineapple and mango. I added protein to mine and it was tropical, refreshing and delicious. They offer toasts, bowls, juices, smoothies and coffee. This seems like a great grab and go healthy option if you're in the area, and there are quite a few of these around town. Parking is a bit tricky in this area but thankfully we were a group so we hopped out of the car to order with ease.“

“Met friends here for lunch. With 6 of us, we had to be creative for seating. Indoors works for parties of 2, and outside are three tables for 4 people. Staff was super helpful making accommodations for an allergy in our group and personally delivering our food which provided confidence. I got a GF Breakfast Wrap, which was delicious and filling. Tasted the broccoli soup - love that the broccoli was whole - and sampled a muffin and energy ball. Everything was delicious. My friend got the burger, and was a little disappointed at the small size. But otherwise everyone was very happy. Nice outdoor seating area, tucked in the alley so it's a bit quieter. Bathroom was clean, and filtered water available at a self serve area. I'd be here all the time if I was a local! Really appreciate vegan food made from scratch that is healthy and not greasy.“

“It’s a cute, little bakery run by some lovely, wonderful people.I’m a pretty big guy who used to be overweight. My love for sugar is still very much present lol. That said, whenever I eat anything from here, I don’t feel that “guilt” or “shame” you feel when you prick up a candy bar.Everything that I’ve tried here is the perfect amount of sweet. Not too much, not too little. It will satisfy your sweet tooth without making your doctor cry at the amount of sugar you just ingested.It’s also very filling. I can easily eat 2-3 donuts from a donut shop. Meanwhile, I’ll be 3/4 of the way thru a pastry from this bakery and I’ll struggle to eat the rest. I want to eat the rest because they’re VERY delicious but it’s more than meets the eye.Also extremely well priced. The average for a single pastry or slice of cake seems to be right below $4 I think. Might be slightly off but the point is I didn’t feel like I was spending a lot. Again, for something that will fill a grown man up without being half your daily amount of calories in a single serving like some of these other sweets, this place is near impossible to beat.I love this place“

“Came here with my family for tacos were really try and give me only one lemon for for three tacos. The quesadillas were really good. They really big the drinks are for die for the food the sandwiches are not good, but they’re not that bad either the fries are hard“

“This place is so fun if you love a variety of Asian foods, and this evening I happened to walk in on a fantastic live jazz band playing by the bar. Last time, we had Korean tacos and tempura, this time I’m having croffles, miso soup, and spaghetti. (I know it’s weird but it’s all so delicious)“

“This was my second Açaí Bowl experience, and my favorite! Look at that picture, the fruit is fresh and piled high! The granola was so good too! I should have drizzled some honey on the top or gotten some of the chocolate pieces. That would have set it off. But it was awesome as it comes. I am a sweet girlie, and the Açaí mixed with pineapple was perfect! The service was great, quick, easy, and friendly. The establishment was clean, I even had to use the restroom and that was clean too. I enjoyed sitting there to eat too, they have big windows to look out of which was nice.“

“Whenever my significant other and I want to get acai bowls, we always find ourselves coming to this business. The first time I went here, I didn't know what to expect. I knew acai was good for you but I wasn't sure if it would taste good. I was pleasantly surprised. I have not had a bowl that I did not like. Even more so, I did not find out until recently that they had a skin care line. I absolutely adore skincare products so the fact they had specific items to help with skincare from the inside out got me ecstatic. The location is a small permanent stand in the union market area. There are a multitude of other businesses in the complex. It does tend to get a little crowded in the area during busy hours. If you are not a fan of crowds, I would highly suggest going during slow times and days because it can be very overwhelming. There is a decent amount of parking but because there are some many people that frequent the area, I personally do not feel there are enough spots. I know there is an underground parking garage but you will have to pay for that. That being said, I absolutely love everything about the food and the vibes and will find myself coming here for quite some time.“

“My friend and I happened upon this place yesterday. Chris (the owner) was there and answered all of our questions patiently and thoroughly. There were so many delicious-sounding options that it took us a while to order. However, we couldn't have been happier with our selections. I chose the Blue Moon bowl, and my friend chose the Tropical Acai bowl. Let me tell you, these bowls were substantial! I was very full when I finished, and enjoyed every bite. The fruit was fresh, the mix that it topped was perfect, and the presentation was top notch. I felt that the price was worth every penny. The atmosphere of the place was awesome as well. There was a throwback playlist from the late 90s going, and it took us back to our college days. Overall, the whole experience exceeded expectations. I actually didn't have any expectations, but if I had some, they would have been exceeded! I took my mom and sister there today and we got smoothies and Jamaican patties. Loved it all! This spot will definitely be in the regular rotation. Highly recommend. Five stars on everything. I love supporting businesses owned by Black people, and this is a wonderful business that I will be happy to give my money to.“

“I’ve been coming to the Union Market location for about a year mainly for breakfast most weekends and I keep returning. Why? Excellent food and drinks, strong coffee, outstanding service and a very nice ambiance. Luckily it’s across the street from my apartment building.Parking: There is a garage parking option a block away that is free for 3 hours, otherwise there's paid street parking available. Difficult to find street parking during busy times of the day. Easy in the mornings.Wheelchair accessibility: Street to restaurant access is easily accessible by wheelchairs with no steps involved. Front door is double wide; however, need to open manually. Staff will happily help open the doors.“

“I visited Relish Market the other day to restock my sea moss that the owner sold me on. I can’t really explain the benefits that I have experienced from taking it other than I feel better! Glad I took the leap and bought it! My absolute fav food product is the Pepperly Crunch! Go get it but save me one! The cakes are so good I ate it in the car! Haha“

The fresh fruits they use are of great quality and make all the difference, the portion sizes are extremely generous - you definitely get more than what you pay for. “I tried their (smoothie) sky shake and it was probably the best bubble tea flavor I’ve ever had. I was curious about the flavor since blue isn’t a common color for drinks and they described it as “blue matcha with coconut.” I personally don’t enjoy the flavor of coconut but this didn’t have a coconut flavor to it. It was subtly sweet and creamy. The tapioca pearls were not as dense as I would have liked them to be but that may just be my preference. The price was about $10 for a cup so it was a bit steep but it could be due to the location. Overall, I would suggest giving the sky shake a shot!“

The drinks taste fresh and perfect. And the price is spot on! I walk away with 2-3 juices or smoothies every time.“

“I was in town from Tampa Florida and found Share tea across the street from my hotel. I went twice in the same day I loved it so much.!!! I am still thinking about the tea I had..:not sure if I will be able to find a place here in Tampa as good as ShareTea … The girl was also so helpful that was working there to explain the different teas that I could have.“

“Food is out of this world, great!!! I don't know how they create such great tasting food without animal products, but they do it, and they do it well. Service is "good," but would be so much better if the servers would pep-up, smile, and get excited about the fact that they are providing what so many people in the county have been looking for. Healthy food choices. Many restaurants come and go in the county, and I believe that the ones that don't make it are those that have not stressed the importance of the "customer experience" to their staff. I LOVE the food at this establishment, but if I continually feel like the staff is only tolerating me, for a check; or they're not invested in the owner's success, I know that I won't continue making the trip. The first time I came, there was a young lady who took me through all the food and offered samples. She's the kind of person that belongs out front. But in more recent experiences, some staff barely look you in the eyes, and they're speaking so low that when you ask a question, you hardly hear the answer. I STILL rate this restaurant HIGHLY!!!! Getting the staff onboard to be as excited about the customer's experience as the customer is about the food would make this establishment #1 in the Prince George's County vegan restaurant space. And possibly #1 in the DMV and beyond.“

“I've been a long time customer of Turning Natural and highly recommended their juices, smoothies and cleanses. My favorite smoothie is their Happy Hemp that comes with mango, pineapple, spinach, spirulina and hemp protein. So yummy! The black bean burger and spinach patty are pretty good too. They now even have açaí and pitaya bowls that I'm excited to try. They're also black owned and have locations throughout the DMV. You really can't go wrong!“

“I purchased a dozen of large male crabs on October 27. They were big and meaty. I have been buying crabs from them all summer, and not one crab was bad. I hope they will keep up the good work. I wish they would answer the phone or post their prices on the website.“

Sooo glad we did! 2/4 of us frequent the establishment so we followed their lead I got the moolah bowl and a friend got a juice made of all kinds of fresh stuff. She said it was THE best fresh juices juice she'd ever had. Unfortunately they were out of both avocado and mushrooms, so I subbed brown rice and black beans. LOVED IT They roast the veggies, and just totally mix the greens and toppings n veggies altogether and dump it in a brown box! DELISH AND HUMONGOUS. I literally am on my 3rd meal of it, today! I'm gonna write to the moms in white marsh and ask why "we" don't have the ear in option? Staff: two VERY hard working folk going at it, being patient with us first timers and totally apologetic about the items they were out of (as though it were their fault). A short line started to form behind us and a lady appeared from the rear to help them out. Good to see an establishment recognize a need to come to the aid of other workers to ensure customer satisfaction“

Everything is made fresh on the premises, and it is as visually inviting as it is stimulating to your senses. From delicious samples to the wonderful employees, this place is truly exceptional. “Such a cute boba spot!!! (Did not try the poké so can't comment on that) I got a taro tea with boba and it was absolutely delicious. The boba was sweet and chewy and fresh. I love the ease with which you can order on a kiosk - I feel like it speeds up service (although they did have the option to order with a person as well if needed). Parking in this area will be tough, but that's to be expected in this part of DC!“

“Stopped by the new New Jersey Avenue NW DC Z Burger. The chicken cheesesteak with "two" cheeses was excellent & generous. The onion rings were awesome there. Everything is fresh, and the staff is unusually friendly and helpful. I can also recommend their 75 flavors of milkshakes (I prefer strawberry). The store was spotless. Street parking was easy, but DC has parking meters not to be ignored.“

“I love and adore Tropical Smoothie! I just moved to the area where this one is located and usually just order delivery but after management stood up for my right as a disabled American to have my service-related animal in-cafe with me against a woman who verbally assaulted me for having her when she claimed her child was allergic. She even asked me if I knew her child was “deathly allergic” in a tone suggesting that I somehow should have already known that. I do not have a ? and I am pretty sure science doesn't uphold such as valid. The funny thing is that they were there within 3 feet of us for a solid 5 minutes before my animal made a sound, she asked what it was, I spoke up and said it was my service animal and she then began a tirade about her child being “deathly” allergic and then; all of a sudden, the child starts to “cough and sort of sneeze”. I apologized and explained she is service and I keep her in her carrier or attached to me in some manner like a leash as the law requires. She continued to berate me for what felt like a long time and I finally asked if I should call the police to settle this as management stepped in and asked to see her service-related ID card and I showed them. They said we don't have to leave as I was gathering my things to go and said we had as much right to be here as anyone and they were only picking up an order anyway. I really appreciated that. I face so much discrimination due to various documented disabilities every single day of my life. It was a wonderful change of pace for me. I know I have rights as a disabled American but many choose to run all over that and somehow manage to get by with it. I am not a confrontational person and am therefore not very good at standing up for myself. I am autistic and have traumatic brain injuries that have greatly altered my life and my understanding of the world around me; mostly related to people and the nature of their intentions. I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU so much to the staff and management at this Tropical Smoothie Cafe! I cannot adequately express how this has positively affected me and my animal. We finally have at least one place that is indoors where we feel safe and welcome in our new community.“

“This was my first time and NuVegan Cafe and it was a pleasant experience. Elijah was very sweet and professional and the food was amazing. I had the crab cakes, a chicken drummie, Mac and cheese and yams. There were a lot of photos of famous people that have supported the restaurant along the walls and that was really dope.“
