“Ms. Donna and the Kake Korner Krew are the absolute best. My sister was turning 40 and I found out she wasn't going to have a cake. I had 48hrs to do something. Overwhelmed, frustrated and with tears in my eyes I prayed and walked into Kake Korner. The Krew and Ms. Donna said they could make it happen and that is exactly what they did. The cake was beautiful, flavorful, moist and affordable. Thank you for saving the day and me from almost falling apart.”

“This is a little cozy spot. Seems like there are local regulars here and it's family run. So I knew the food wouldn't disappoint and it sure didn't. The food here tastes very homemade and clean without compromising on taste.

Soft Chicken Tacos (8/10) - From the very first bite I knew it was fresh and everything tasted spot on. The rice and beans were decent too.

Chimichanga (9.5/10) - This was probably the best thing I've had here. It's perfectly delicious, wasn't overly greasy and heavy. It was perfect. This one might be the go to for most people.

Patron Platter (9/10) - This dish was also spot on, but the pork tamale 🫔 was just what it needed to be a complete dish. A great option if you're feeling a variety of food.

Tres Leches (8/10) - While this wasn't the best I've had, it by no means disappointed. The cake was good but more importantly it was sweetened perfectly. I've been to too many spots that over do it, so it was nice to find a spot that gets it right for a change. I recommend this one for dessert.”

“I've eaten pho only twice in my life... both times at the new spot on Main St., Pho Viet 75. My review: Taste is consistent. Quality is consistent. Portions are excellent. Presentation 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Packaging 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 You get a container with broth, chicken and onions. Another container with the noodles, a baggie with drop-in pho condiments. I also ordered 2 spring rolls that came in the container with the lettuce, but I ate them before thinking of taking pics. My bad. And let me tell you, man did I I hit a home run with Shah’s Halal Food! 💯🗣️😋 the food was delicious and it was gone within an hour lol I ordered chicken, lamb, rice and veggies the very same day and the manager was caught off guard when I told him that I needed within a couple of hours lol the manager and his staff very friendly and professional, even gave me extra sauces and gave me a free soda 👍🏽👌🏽 I truly thank these guys and would recommend them to anyone for any catering service, thanks again Shah’s Halal, until next time 🤛🏽👊🏽”

Let’s talk about food. We order the hot & sour soap to begin with and it was delicious. Serves 3 people easily. Sesame chicken was delightful marinated and seasoned. Beef chili was great too.

“T&J Waffles was recommended to me by a coworker a few months ago. I finally got the opportunity to try it today for the first time and it was AMAZING! The waffles are delicious. Didn’t even need to use syrup. The girl taking orders was very nice and polite. She even explained a few of the different options that are offered. I’m a huge breakfast person and this by far is one of my new favorites! I can’t believe I waited so long to try it. There is definitely something for everyone.”

“Yesterday evening I last minute decided to go to this establishment a little too late not paying attention to their closing time. It is very rare that when you see a business closing that the people inside will pay you any mind. I would have been over excited if they had payed me attention and nothing else. The person at the desk not only acknowledged me but proceeded to ring up my order (which he didn’t have to do) beyond their closing hours. I think we all know what we go to this established for at this point but this person went above and beyond and helped me to walk away from here with a feeling that is rare in this day and age. “Had a good experience at Peri Peri. I got the Peri Chicken Wrap. It was tasty. Some of the chicken was a little chewy but all in all it had good flavor and for the most part the chicken was tender. I got the mango and lime with the hot sauce. It was really tasty. I also got the Peri fries. They were really good as well. The white sauce they gave is really good with the fries. I am not sure if that sauce was intended to eat with the wraps or not. The wraps were messy but that is when food tastes the best. I will definitely be returning to try other items.

The service was also really good. The cashier took her time with us and was very patient as my family decided what they wanted to order. They also got a delivery during our visit and the manager/owner (guessing) offered him a free water/drink. I thought that was really nice.”

“On A Roll is truly a hidden gem inside a large office building. The receptionist at the front kindly pointed me back toward the cafe. The setting is open and pleasant with both regular tables and clusters of comfortable chairs. The freshly made breakfast wrap was just what I needed. A side of corn nuggets (like mini fritters) were nice and crispy. Fresh coffee and a brownie were a good way to finish. Staff are friendly and parking is plentiful. A great start to my day.”

“The few things I'd suggest is they fix is to
1. Bring back the garlic powder, the garlic shakers were one of the big reasons I went to Blaze Pizza in the past. Just recently they quit putting out the garlic powder which was a big mistake.
2. Lots of the other shakers are either missing (oregano is frequently not out) or nearly empty”

“I stopped by Pupuseria El Buen Sabor earlier this week and can honestly say that I have never been to a more transparent and authentic pupuseria in the DMV. Ileana and her crew make the pupusas right in front of you from scratch, and are friendly and conversive.

The variety of flavors and options for pupusas alone puts most other restaurants to shame, pair that with quality and you've got a winning combination.

Eat in, dine out, doesn't matter. You'll be happy either way.”

“This has been my go-to Chick-fil-A ever since I moved to the area about five years ago. Not only is it the closest location, but in my long life (and my way too many Chick-fil-A visits 😅), this one is hands down the best.

The food quality and preparation are always top-tier, but it is really the staff that sets this place apart. They are always smiling. Always kind. And yes, I know that is typical for Chick-fil-A, but something about this location just feels different. It is better. It feels more intentional. They know and recognize the community here which is something you don’t typically get in franchise spaces. It’s just truly special.

In a time when the world just feels and looks so bad - it’s nice to have a spot that is simply - good. Thank you to the staff here for all you do and please know how much my puppy loves y’all too!
