“Love eating there, good food BUT you close too early so I always miss out!“

“This was our 1st visit & 1st time hearing of this place; we're out of towners & were visiting our daughter (an SMCM student) who chose this restaurant. The smells emanating from their kitchen to the parking lot were so delicious & enticing, who wouldn't wait for a seat? After a short 10 min for a table & not long after being seated, the server got our drink orders. My only issue w/ the server was that she kept running off before we were finished ordering or could even ask a question, she was nowhere to be seen except on the few occasions she came to check on us, yet we repeatedly had to ask for drink refills. When you see empty glasses on the table-why not ask if they'd like a refill? I guess it frees you up to not be running for drinks & saves them $$, but when you're spending your hard earned $$ in there, you don't wanna leave thirsty. The food arrived fairly quickly & was hot. My daughter got the meatloaf & I got a cheeseburger; they had to be an entire lb. each, no exaggerating; but the other portion sizes were enough to sate the avg appetite, and no leftovers. But everyone enjoyed the food, we had cheeseburger & meatloaf to take home. The prices were pretty avg for this type of restaurant. I'd definitely go back again.?

Parking: The lot is kinda small & on the weekend parking can be tricky @ dinner time. May have to wait for someone to leave or park in a different, further lot.“

“1.5 HOUR DINING LIMIT!!!! Chief's will always be one of our favorites! The food is terrific 100% of the time, year after year. The staff work really hard to make us feel welcome and attend to all food/beverage needs. My one criticism (and everyone I've spoken to feels the same) is the 1.5 hour limit for dining. We don't go out for a leisurely dinner often, so when we do, we like to order appetizers, main courses, desserts and plenty of drinks. When you find yourselves a minute into dessert and a fresh round of drinks, and it's time to pay the $250-$300 check and leave b/c the 1.5 hour limit is up, it's a total bummer! This time, we actually had to pick up our desserts & drinks and find room [for only some of our party] at the bar, so we could finish. If you are going to have a time limit, put a timer on the table. At least that way, when your time is almost up, you can forget about ordering the desserts and last round of drinks. It was too embarrassing to rush to carry the rest of our meal to the bar, just so we could finish what we paid for.“

“I eat here more often than I tell my wife because the food is so good and the portions are huge. Everything I’ve had there is 5 star. Breakfast is my favorite and the keto bowl is a delicious meal. Highly recommended!“

“Second time at The CD Cafe and again did not disappoint! The Popeye Burger is to die for. They put boursin cheese and spinach on it and it was amazing. My daughter ordered the blueberry cheesecake stuffed French toast and it was heavenly. Love this place!“

“Even though the weather was cloudy and rainy on this late September day, our group received a warm welcome and we were served professionally and with a smile. The food is personally cooked by the owner, who also came out to greet us. The entire meal was delicious, but the conch chowder was one of the best I've ever had and a perfect choice on a rainy afternoon overlooking a lovely harbor. I highly recommend this hidden gem!“

“My fiance and I dine out often. We dine here and many other places pretty frequently. I had the special salmon and asparagus yesterday. I have to say that is the best salmon, or meal for that matter, that I've ever had. The food is always great, but that was over the top. I hope they keep that on the menu permanently.“

“My wife and I had the opportunity to dine in your restaurant this evening. We chose an early dinner to have time to relax and enjoy the view. I had to write and tell you what a fantastic experience we had. Hannah was our server and she was a shining example of hospitality and great service. Not over bearing but there to see what we needed or how things were food wise. She alone would be our reason for coming back. But the food was absolutely incredible. From the hush puppies, wings, crab cakes and blackened chicken, everything was cooked to perfection and tasted incredible. Not normally dessert eaters, Hannah sold us on two of your deserts! The apple cobbler and tiramisu cheesecake! Again, both were flawless. Please share this with your BOH staff as I know they are often overlooked and of course we sing our praises to Hannah! “Food is great, decent parking, clean inside.

Service is hit or miss. It can be absolutely terrible or the best server in Maryland. If it’s not my table I notice it on other tables. Really depends on the server you get. Whether that’s being served and no utensils, no follow up from the servers just to refill drinks, or even bringing a to go box. Either it’s the constant turnaround of new hires or it’s a management issue directing people’s time correctly, who knows. It’s one of the few breakfast places in the local area and the food is always hot.“

“We came to the Ruddy Duck while in town visiting family so we could have a belated anniversary date.. We had a most incredible experience...our server David was attentive and pleasant without being over bearing...his menu recommendations were on point! The crab dip is stellar...my husband and I got what was on special...he got the crab cake burger with duck fat fries and I got the steak frites...everything was cooked perfectly! The duck fat fries beat out the well known ones from our current home town, and the steak was melt in your mouth...the mushroom peppercorn sauce was to DIE for... I was so thrilled that Chef agreed to sell me a small container of just the sauce to take home. My husband is going to regret that he brought me, because now we are going to have to go back every time we come back to visit family...10 stars out of 5! ❤️“

“We had a group upstairs and enjoyed the view and ease of doing business . The food was OK, but not quite as good as expected for the money. But all were happy in the end. Thanks for the ease of doing business with you all at a busy time!

“My favorite thing of the night was our waitress she was perfect! Ashley did a great job at taking care of us and making sure our orders came out correctly. She was nice and always checking in on us. The chef, Val, cooked an incredible meal for me and my wife. It's the best steak I've had in the county in a while. It made me feel like I was at home. All of my food tasted so good and the atmosphere was perfect. The lighting was great and the music wasn't super loud. My wife and I definitely found our favorite steak house now. Thank you for an incredible dining experience. We will be back!“

“The service was excellent- our waitress was very personable, friendly, and thoughtful. The Lumpia (appetizers) are very tasty, crispy, and perfectly portioned. The price was fair - they offer daily specials. If you are looking for a pizza, burger, wings & beer kind of joint - here it is!“
