“First time I’ve eaten at the Valley Grille in ages and WOW! I was seriously impressed! Their new chef is crushin’ it! 👏

We asked if they’d make the “Family Combo” (12 wings, 1 lb chicken tenders, 3 cheeseburger sliders & fries) even though it’s usually just on the Sunday menu, and they did! The 5 hungry kids in our group demolished it 😂

Also… I’m a total sucker for homemade ranch, and theirs is legit so good. Creamy, flavorful, and clearly not from a bottle 🙌

The adults all ended up ordering tacos...shrimp, carne asada, el fuego pork, and Cajun fish...and every one of them was unique and packed with flavor. But the surprise star of the night was the Brisket Wedge Salad. The brisket was tender, lean, and plated beautifully. Highly recommend trying that one!

The chef even came out to check on our meal, which was such a nice touch, and our server was awesome- handling multiple tables and the bar like a pro.

I live in Glenbrook and have always wanted this spot to thrive, and it finally feels like it’s getting there. Definitely planning to check out trivia night soon!“

“I catered a large lunch for 40 people at my office. The food was so delicious, my team devoured it all before the last few were able to arrive. I called chef Stacy and the kitchen fired off more food for me on the spot and Chef Stacey delivered it to my office herself within 30 minute. The burgers were perfectly seasoned and cooked, the hot dogs nice and plump, the hand made chicken nuggies were the best ever, the salad was fresh and the price was very fair. “I used Zipani Cafe to cater a small brunch I had at a local hotel, and my experience with them was excellent from start to finish. I worked with Renee to pick a menu and she was so helpful in giving me advice on what to choose and how much to order. She was prompt in answering emails and the whole process was so easy. She and the owner of the cafe delivered the food right on time to the hotel, and the bagels were so fresh they were still warm. They set up the food and drinks on the tables that the hotel provided. The bagels were amazing, as were the pastries and muffins. The coffee was hot and fresh. I highly recommend Zipani Cafe if you need catering. I have never been to the actual cafe, but the next time I'm in Frederick I will definitely be visiting to get their bagels. They are as good as ones you can get in New York City.“

“My wife and I had dinner here in celebration of our 51st wedding anniversary. Our dinner was excellent as well as Nadine's drink recommendation which was a hit. “Drunken Mushroom Toast app, absolutely fantastic. Steak with caramelized onions and blue cheese wasn't bad, but the steak was oddly bland and packed any kind of sear. “Long post ahead, warning! I walked in around 9 pm and the hostess didn't bat an eye at my dining alone, and didn't say anything about it, which I appreciate. I was seated right away with no problems and immediately got a chance to look over the menu. I will admit, it took a little bit longer than expected for my waiter to come over, but as a lone diner I sort of expected that. I looked like I was waiting for someone, I'm sure. The look and feel of the place was very upscale, but they didn't have any problems with me walking in wearing a nerdy t-shirt. I was seated in this cute little booth for 2 with curtains on the side so, if I wanted a more private dinner, I could have it. It was a cute touch! The restaurant also offered patio dining and since it's by the creek, that would have been a downright charming experience were it not the usual Maryland summer. Despite having a bar, the restaurant was respectably quiet and low-key, making it an easy dining experience. I wasn't in the mood for something wild, and this place really hit the nail on the head. My first waiter Kevin, however, was the picture of polite helpfulness. He answered all of my questions, made some wonderful suggestions, and was incredibly pleasant to talk to. I was delighted to find out that this place takes part in DC restaurant week, so I was able to take part in that promotion. Under a suggestion from Kevin, I ordered a glass of their moscato (I wanted something light and sweet), and the wine was so good I brought home a whole bottle. Not really on them, but it does reflect their excellent selection. Dinner itself was delicious. The red pepper soup was refreshing and flavorful, without being too filling. The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection and was flavored in the perfect way to make the actual flavor of the meat shine. The potatoes were both light and fluffy, but also had the little chunks of potato that I prefer in my mashed. The best part was desert. About halfway through my appetizer, Kevin introduced my other waiter, Maddy, who took over after he went home. She was as much of a delight as he was, and made possibly the best recommendation of the night. Desert was this blackberry tart that I did not have room for but could not put down. Gooey and crumbly all at once, with a warm center that was almost caramel-y even though it was fruit based. Topped with a light cream to balance it all out, it was absolutely delicious. I will be thinking of that tart all day tomorrow. The prices on the menu were a little high, but I wouldn't go so far to say they were unreasonable. If I had wanted a cheaper option, I could have gone to any chain restaurant ever. In the grand scheme of downtown Frederick, with it's many small businesses and one of a kind dining experiences, I think this was reasonable. For reference, a lot of meals were between $20 and $30, but a good steak is almost always $30+. Despite the price, I had an exceptional dining experience, and would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for upscale dining, without the upscale requirements.“

“Cold in restaurant last night. We had to change tables to sit in room w/fire. Food was reliably OK, tasty; kitchen could cut down on the grease; however, shepherd's pie came minus sour cream topping or peas. Shop has the usual wide variety of items & sales to make everyone happy.“

Service was slow to order a beer and desert was almost cancelled because of time and the glazing did not arrive with one of the deserts and getting a side cup never arrived. The waitress was new and very helpful and will get better with experience. The only disappointment was their Military Discount? They only allow 10% for "active" Military making one feel that veterans just don't qualify? And the 10% you receive is only on the members main meal. So for a $60.61 meal the discount was $1.49? I give the discount I receive back to the wait staff and left a $15.00 tip.“

“Two couples ate dinner here late on a Tuesday afternoon in Mid-October and all had excellent meals. The server was very attentive and came back several times to see if we needed anything during the meal. We both had the 8 ounce "Renegade" sirloin steak dinners and thoroughly enjoyed them. Cost for the two of us was about $46 with tax less tip. That's about average nowadays for this area. The other couple had chicken and salmon for their meals and said the food was also good. We will return in the future.“

“An amazing private club they have just about anything you want to do from karaoke to pool to darts even gambling machines. Food is amazing and the prices are good. Bartenders are great. Jess is amazing and on top of everything. Put my hands together for Paul for keeping such an amazing place. They have pool leagues on Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays and Friday nights so come join us on the APA. There's only one downfall and that's the parking. During the weekday evenings it's very hard to find a parking place close to the establishment because of the new fitness club. But other than that it's a great place to go with a great atmosphere come join us.“

We were looking for a decent meal after being on the road all day, and came upon this diner. The two women, Olivia and Kara who were working there could not have made the experience better. They were friendly, accommodated a special request for my husband, who was in the mood for an open-faced, hot turkey sandwich with gravy. They made the gravy as a special accommodation. The restaurant was clean, well-maintained, and the food was delicious. I would not hesitate to grab a meal there if you’re in the area.“
