“Really nice cozy place, super friendly staff and owner. Food was reasonable priced. It is geared to gringos (they put lettuce and cheese on tacos) but of course you can get them without. I got the fish tacos and didn’t take a picture but they were awesome.

Service was fast, food was amazing, the staff were great..even the security people! We got to witness 3 birthday celebrations they do and the performance is quick & fun!! From the moment I stepped up to the register, Dora greeted me with a warm and friendly smile. Her welcoming demeanor set the tone for a great experience.

But that was just the beginning. Dora continued to impress with her exceptional service, bringing my food to me and checking in later to see if I needed anything else. When I mentioned I was taking my food to go, she even brought everything I needed to pack up my meal and salsa. I got the pick 2 fajitas with steak and shrimp, an extra side of carntas with a small chips and queso, which was very tasty and a nice sized portion. I'll definitely be eating the rest for lunch tomorrow!

“I placed a call in order for pick up. Two chicken enchiladas.. came with rice beans, pico, guac and sour cream. Also got queso and chips and an horchata. The horchata was very good!! All the food was great except I wasn't a fan of the rice.. didn't taste like normal Mexican restaurant rice.. it tasted like the Knorr Spanish rice, which if you've ever had that before, it tastes very plain. The food was hot and ready and the girl who helped was friendly. I was searching all Mexican restaurants in the area and this one had the best prices as well.“

“The best hole-in-the-wall Mexican place in Gaithersburg. However the staff plays loud music on all the TVs, loud enough they can hear it from the kitchen... but as a customer you have to sit by those TVs and the noise is unpleasant. Meals here are fantastic, they just can't last too long on account of the noise.“

ive noticed that a alot of the members have improved there english since my first review, they have improved greatly in the service realm. Also the quality of the food is amazing for it's price. To describe it in simple terms is... It tastes like the staff care about the foods flavor. My usual meal costs 12-13 dollars.
Really helps me out (who is a struggling college student) get quality food. I'm so happy there not raising the price like othe restaurants are. If I order the same at Chipotle, I would pay 16-18, for less quality food that honestly tastes like cr*p. Compared to qdoba's 12-13, well portion food, and in generally better cooking.

One thing I want them to improve is to make breakfast last anther 30mins. There been a few times where I get there 10 mins late and breakfast is over.

“My family has been coming to Guapo's for years and I can say with honesty that we've never had a bad meal here. The drink portions are generous,the food cooked with skill and thoroughly seasoned and rich with flavor. The interior decor, filled with massive chandeliers resembling ship steering wheels, murals, and ceilings painted to resemble a blue sky decked with fluffy white clouds, is colorful and eye-catching. The main dining room can get loud during evenings, particularly Friday and Saturday nights, and this can make conversing difficult unless one is willing to shout. But the quality of the dining experience, occasional live music, and fun atmosphere more than make up for this. We look forward to continuing to enjoy dining here.“

“Easy to see from the road, decent sized lot, a table or two for eating. Good menu selection for proteins and how they're prepared. Loved the house made spicy sauce.

Got the birra, nice heavy tacos, double tortilla and the au'jus was decent.

I visited Café Rio this past Wednesday after going to Trader Joe’s, and I had an excellent experience. I love Mexican food, and when I saw Café Rio right in front of me, I decided to give it a try ,and it was definitely the right choice!

The food was delicious, everything was super fresh, and the portions were very generous — more than enough for one person. The salad was especially amazing: fresh, crisp, and full of flavor.

The atmosphere was great, with good music, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They explained everything clearly, guided us through the menu, and you could tell they were enjoying their shift.

I went with my family, and we had a really lovely time. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!“

“Best pupusas ive had here in Md. Great quality. Pupusas came out hot! And fresh. Let me say ive been to various pupuserias like in wheaton, langley park but this one in my opinion topped them off. “I am an absolute fan of this taco truck, I’ve probably ordered somewhere between 60-100 tacos in the last year, I put all of my friends on to this place because of the authenticity, I only give it four stars because in the last two weeks of ordering tacos, my orders have been accepted and “made” according to Uber Eats and for two Fridays in a row, my uber driver did not deliver my food so im not sure if this is an issue with the restaurant or with uber but im highly upset. I order tacos around my work schedule and to order tacos and then find out they’re not being delivered AFTER they’re closed feels like betrayal im not going to lie.“

“I love California Tortilla and this place didn't disappoint! The steak fajita burrito was delicious. The Coke from the machine was off, but I'll chock it up to a mistake. Someone probably put the wrong bag in the regular spot, it tasted like cherry. The sauce wall has some pretty amazing sauces and to-go containers. Will definitely be back!“

“We were initially reluctant to try this place because my son is vegetarian. So we were surprised by how much vegetarian options they had, not just sides. My son had the veggie burrito but they also had a veggie platter, veggie quesadillas, veggie empanadas, and taco salad (ask for no chicken). My husband had the salcipapa, which is a Peruvian street snack of sausages and fries. Nice clean sitting area too.“

I will say that the bowls taste better today than the last time I ordered and that the workers on the line were nice and made the pick up easy, but I still think there’s lack in flavor unfortunately.“

“My family and I have been going to Roy’s La Mexicana since it was a fast food restaurant on the corner. Now it’s been years at this new location. Service is EXCELLENT, the food is ALWAYS perfect. I recommend La Mexicana (and the new La Casita for Central American food). But you must have the shrimp fajita salad at La Mexicana!“
