“This establishment is in my hometown so I wanted to support it. I ordered 10 sub sandwiches to be cut in 4 pieces to feed a gathering of bridge players at The Washington Bridge Unit this afternoon. I worked with Geraldo who listened to what I needed and came up with a perfect combination of sandwiches and offered a small discount so that the purchase was within budget, The sandwiches were delivered for free perfectly packed and perfectly delicious. A tough bag lady that was waiting for her order said I had to try the seafood Mac and cheese and she wasn’t wrong. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 The good brother running the store also let me try a few other sides. All were amazing so I had to choose but I wanted to try all of them. I got the vegan drumettes, with the vegan ribs, seafood Mac and cheese and the collard greens. All tasted AMAZING!!!! “I use to live in the Queens Town area 16 years ago and always ordered from Grand China and when I moved out of state to somewhere that doesn’t sell wings, or subs along with the Chinese food I felt like I was on another planet. I thought all carry outs did lol. Every time we come home to the DMV I make it a point to go to Grand China to bring home some good Chinese food. The Shrimp Egg Fu Young has always been my top pick , then the wings with fried rice and Mumbo sauce. They have never disappointed me. I will always and forever be a loyal customer.”

I've had pretty much every drink and food item on the menu and they're each unique and worth trying. I particularly like the elevated papusas and michelada feels fancy yet somehow still authentic. However, the Ni de Aqui Ni de Alla drink perfectly summarizes the place and fits well with their current Top 50 Latin playlist in the background. You don't often hear Bad Bunny, Ozuna, and the latest Shakira in high-end cocktail bars. While anyone can feel at home here, it's a particular joy to those who've lived in Latin America.

Note that it's generally reservation only and quite intimate with just a bar area downstairs and about 3 small tables upstairs.”

Wagyu beef skewers from the bar was one of the best things I’ve ever had. “Sushi Taro used to be considered one of the top Japanese restaurants in the city, but it is not surprising they no longer are on the Michelin guide in 2025. The table service was good, but the rest of the service was mediocre. The food itself does feel overpriced for the quality, only a few select items were notable. Really not a destination for sushi or sashimi. Nothing they are doing terribly wrong per se, just nothing to write home about.”
