The thin crust was delicious especially on the cheese pizza. The only negative thing I have too say is y’all charging too much for a house salad. “I came to Minya’s Pizza with my family after hearing about the restaurant on Fox News, and since we were visiting from out of state, we knew we had to stop by. The pizza was absolutely delicious, and we also tried the traditional breakfast (ful), which was so flavorful. What really made the experience special was the service, Rahel took such great care of us and made us feel so welcome. The ambience was beautiful, with all the pictures and artwork of Asmara adding such a warm and authentic touch, truly making me feel like I was back home. “Great Fish and Chips, Great Subs, Affordable prices, but most important Fresh Food. You can tell the Kitchen and Oils are clean by the presentation of the food. The fries and fish are bright gold exterior (sign of clean cooking oil) and the taste is pure. absolutely great food.“

“A very inviting corner restaurant, great for people watching and cocktails. The drinks were nice and the atmosphere was lux. We went on a Saturday and it just felt like they needed a manager around. Felt like they were really understaffed and not ready for the crowds. There were some people who had worked there longer and were directing others, and the food did come out of the kitchen timely. But there wasn't a sense of table service really, you just catch them when you can, know the candle won't get lit even after you asked and teach the server how to swipe the card. I wish they had someone tending to things, but maybe when it's slower it will be better. The pizza was good, and lots of pepperoni. I wished it wasn't quite as soggy in the middle but it tasted good. And the burrata had no flavor, no nice olive oil or pepper, very bland, but it was a hearty portion. Can't complain about the drinks. I can sense when there's no service concept so I hope they get it together.“

I will think about this one in my sleep. I will crave it. As much as I will stand on a soapbox telling anyone who will listen that Martha Dear is not just THE best pizza in the DMV, but one of the best restaurants in the area, it is the conspicuously kind service that is the first thing I will mention. If you’ve never been, put Martha Dear at the very top of your restaurant to-do list. The very top.“

“We love Washington DC so my wife and I wanted some pizza. We were staying at the Embassy suites in NW so I googled pizza that was close by. Pizzoli‘s pizzeria came up. It looked good so we took an Uber there and the pizza was excellent. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and my wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed it. Made from scratch good. We were a little bit surprised in that it was a smaller establishment as we thought we were going to a place that had lots of tables, etc. This place has one inside table and five or six countertops to eat at and then they have several tables outside but as noted, the food was fantastic. Would certainly recommended, and we will be back home future visits.“

“Red Hound Pizza has become the favorite pizza place in Takoma Park for me and many of my friends who live nearby. Their pizzas are hearty and delicious with a thick, 100% whole wheat crust using flours that are grown and milled by one of their neighbors just down the street. They also use local produce when possible and therefore their veggie pizza rotates every two weeks. They also have soft serve which rotates regularly with fun toppings like roasted pear or dehydrated chocolate cake. The owners are really great. The pizza is on the expensive side ($4-5/slice) compared to other pizza so you gotta pay a premium for high-quality ingredients. They also sell pizza by the slice. You can dine-in for casual eating -- they only have a few small tables inside and some more picnic tables in a closed off parking lot in the back. Take note: their pizza is rectangular! And the crust will taste different from almost any other pizza you've had bc of the 100% whole wheat sourdough. Also they don't have gluten-free options but they do always have a vegan option. fwiw Red Hound always uses 100% whole grains -- this will appeal to some (more protein, more fiber!) and not to others.“

“Matchbox used to be one of my favorite restaurant chains. Now that it's owned by some big corporate company, it sucks. The drinks and food are expensive at the Mosaic location. and there for very few people there. It used to have such a great vibe; it was always full of people at the tables and the bar. please bring back the original owners!“

“Most nights I stumble in here drunk. Sometimes I make the sober trek from VA. Either way, the pizza is always so fresh. Got the supreme last night and the toppings tasted like they just picked and chopped the vegetables. My cheesesteak was excellent. A solid jumbo slice with an extensive menu is a rare gem these days. Sometimes the food takes a little long, probably because they’re making it fresh. Skip the other places and come here.“

“I'm a regular at Angelo's almost every Tuesday during the fall middle school and spring high school softball seasons. I stop there between the game I umpire and teaching religious education around the corner at St. Patrick's. I will say that the quality at Angelo's is outstanding. I usually do a combination cheeseburger sub or steak and cheese. They are excellent. Plus, the fries are real fries that come out of the deep frier nice and crispy. I often will treat my religious education class to pizzas from Angelo's and they always tell me it's good pizza. Finally, they have Little Gina's pizzels. They're an Italian cookie my Italian mom would make and they are exactly like she would cook them. So, if you want some great pizza or sub plus some really crispy fries, I highly recommend Angelo's.
