“First time here, seems a little small but that’s alright. Music was a little loud, had a small child with disabilities who immediately covered his ears. Staff caught it and music was turned down without asking. Big points! Here comes the chips & salsa. Hit the spot just right, nice little bite. Received our menus and what an extensive selection. We studied it for a while placed orders. Tried the queso w/ jalapeño, good but I like my other place. Anyway here comes our meals, great presentation, and nice portions. Of course I like larger portions and the wife likes smaller portions, so we have take home too! The food is terrific and believe I may have I found my new favorite! Definitely will be back. Hopefully they may expand in the near future.“

“Went for the first time on Mon 9/30/25. I was so dang hungry for Tacos. Some lady at the Drs I was at told me about the place, so off I went for lunch by myself. Was kinda scared cause no one was there but me. Walked in and the place was very nice and clean from what I saw. Ordered Tacos and Burrito, both were freaking awesome!!! Place - Clean + Pretty inside Food - AWESOME and hit the spot Service - Awesome, and helped when I had questions. Waiter - Was so very nice.. Portions - Were huge. Tacos were pretty much normal size but the Burrito was huge with some yummy cheese sauce. Bathroom - Ladies room was clean and tidy. Parking - Easy and lots of spots. Well that's all I can think of for now. Worth it: Hell yes!!! Great food, great people and AWESOME service!! Price - $$$ But it is worth the money. I would rather pay a bit extra and get great and large portions of food than spend $80.00 on Burger King that my family wanted the other day. I used to love Burger King but it was all dried out and the burgers tasted weird. Plus, one of the Whopper w/cheese meals was $18.00+. Paid $$$$ for a Bacon Cheese whopper and got a small arse Whopper Jr., no bacon, no cheese and not much meat. Then you can not get thru the automated 💩 to see if you can get the correct order. So paying a bit more for incredible food is worth it. MORE PEOPLE SHOULD EAT HERE AND SPREAD THE WORD SO THIS BUSINESS GETS BUSY AND STAYS OPEN!! “We enjoyed a perfect evening for my son's rehearsal dinner! Blackwall Barn and Lodge is a great place to hold any event! Danny and the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The food was beyond amazing. I wouldn't hesitate recommending the restaurant/Lodge to anyone. Love the atmosphere.“

“Spurrier's Restaurant and Lounge has an incredible view and surroundings from both in and out. I just spent but a day there, and I had an incredible time. The surroundings were neat and there were ample parking lot. Staff were polite, professional, and helpful. They do sell snacks. A special occasion gave me the chance to visit and to explore what do they offer. You can book a reservation. Stairs and elevator are available but I prefer using my legs. You can't miss it. It's within the city, and businesses are all around. I didn't order any food from there, so I don't know how their food taste, but what I can say is that the occasion I was invited to, the food was great. The food is more traditional based on the event. But overall, the staff were excellent and they did their very best to get everyone situated and to feel at home. ?

“Eggspectation is becoming a DMV staple for me. Multiple locations to conveniently find and you know you’re going to get quality food and service every time. It is the one place where I know I can take a friend family member or business colleague for breakfast brunch lunch dinner or happy hour! Not sure how they pulled it off but this is an exceptional restaurant.“

“*Heads up, the restaurant came under new ownership a few months ago* (the old owners were letting things fall by the wayside it seems, thankfully new management is doing much better!) I’ve stopped through a couple times for carryout and each time there have been other customers stopping by, so it seems like a popular hidden gem among locals. Spoke with the owner and he was friendly, knowledgeable, and you can tell he’s passionate about his craft. Food was great, it’s now my go to spot for comfort food when I’m craving Caribbean cuisine- have tried the deep fried turkey, kabit goat (love the rice and beans the entree comes with!), Jamaican beef patty, and Haitian codfish patty. You may have to wait a little for the entree to come out, but that’s cause they’re cooking it fresh. They’re currently rebranding the look/ambience of the space, so will definitely be back to visit once it’s done.“
