The empanadas were perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, with a savory, deeply flavorful, and juicy filling that tasted completely authentic. The burger was equally impressive—perfectly seared, incredibly juicy, and served on a fresh, soft bun with top-tier toppings. It is rare to find a spot that excels at two completely different specialties, but this place knocks both out of the park. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. “Looking for Bottle of Red-wine and found this restaurant very close to our residence. Went up to the shop had a look at the wine display took one bottle each of red-wine Spain and Italian, the lady on the counter very polite and helpful answered sone questions and took for billing. They do have variety of meat and meat products. Can have done beer or soft drinks with food there itself. It a great place to visit. Amble space for free parking, pricing reasonable. We were looking for some venison meat, not readily available they tired to organise from a supplier, since our qty was not matching couldn’t make it.“

“Food is good and menu has something for everyone. The best part is the staff. Anna is an awesome server. She has taken care of our family a few times and she always remembers us and our preferences. She is great with kids. The last time my daughter and I were there she had another table with a couple that had a baby. She took care of them seamlessly while juggling everyone else.“

“One of the most creative and delicious kitchens in the area. Ive never been disappointed in any dish ive ordered from midway cafe. Cuban panini, harissa hotdog, chili crisp smash burgers always with tots always cooked to perfection. This is the most slept on food option around and I really love the different specials they have weekly. Staff is always so personable and attentive and the dining area is always clean. Additional points for stocking cholula.“

“I had an event for St Patrick’s Day catered by Spanky’s Shenanigans. If 5 star is the top, this was 10 star. The food was absolutely delicious and more than plentiful. People raved about the Corner Beef and Cabbage and Fish and Chips. The food arrived in a timely fashion and was hot. Kolt the manager could not have been pleasanter or easier to work with. “Cotton & Rye continues to be a great spot whether you are staying locally or visiting the area. We stopped in last night after arriving at the Lansdowne Resort around 10pm. The bar only had a few people at first, and Sharoush greeted us right away and had our Old Fashioneds up quickly.

Moments later the room filled all at once. Two 7-tops and several couples walked in simultaneously and it was clear things got busy in a hurry. Sharoush definitely got into the weeds for a moment, but he stayed calm and worked through the rush brilliantly.

The food arrived and my steak was cooked perfectly.

This place also holds some great memories for our family. My sister had her wedding here a few years ago and we ended up after-partying at Cotton & Rye with well over 100 people. The staff handled the crowd flawlessly.

“This review is more to give kudos to a couple of people. Rebecca at the front went above and beyond to accommodate a sticky situation when it wS extremely busy. The original host stand person, Janelle, was okay with telling us we had a much longer wait than first given and would have been okay with us leaving. Rebecca came up with solutions and options and we ended up having to only wait a few more minutes without inconveniencing others.
Once seated, our server, Kelly, was great. Janelle once again initially came to help and then forgot our request and just left us.
We will continue to come back for folks like Rebecca and Kelly and hope Janelle will improve.“
