When I told her it was our first visit, she gave me a playful bop on the head with our table number and asked, “What took you so long?” Touché, Debbie. Touché. Now onto the burgers… and yes, they deserve their own paragraph. I ordered the A Jazzed Up Swiss Burger — and let me tell you, this was no run-of-the-mill meat puck. We're talking Gruyère so rich it probably pays taxes in Switzerland, Black Forest ham that must’ve taken a first-class flight in, baby bella mushrooms sautéed to perfection, and a tangy smear of whole-grain mustard tying it all together. Every bite said, “Sir, this is not fast food — this is fine dining between buns.” My wife had the Paris Burger — imagine garlic-kissed beef topped with brie so creamy it probably auditioned for a romance film, with balsamic onions adding the drama. Let’s just say she stopped talking mid-bite. That’s how you know it’s good. The vibe? Casual but classy, with staff who treat you like family (the good side of the family, not the ones who borrow your tools and never bring them back). And yes… in a moment of grilled beef-fueled euphoria, I may have proclaimed myself the Burger King. Debbie gave me a look. I instantly realized my mistake. This isn’t that kind of burger joint. I genuinely wish the restaurant offered online reservations through a platform such as OpenTable. Being able to reserve a table ahead of time would make an already great restaurant significantly more convenient.

The prices? Five stars.
The seating availability? That’s where the extra star gets lost.

Ashburn Pub has everything you want from a great neighborhood establishment: excellent food, fantastic drinks, genuinely friendly service, and prices that won’t leave you wondering whether you accidentally paid for the building.

Four stars from me—but if they ever add more seating or implement a reliable reservation system, this would easily be a five-star experience.

Until then, plan ahead and be prepared to compete with the rest of Ashburn for a table or a seat at the bar if you’re especially lucky that day.“

“OMG! Where do I start...From the unassuming quaint colonial home to the wonderful welcoming of Mona herself. You will fall in love with Mona and this place immediately! It's just like walking into your own Grandma's home and Mona makes you feel that way too! We were traveling from out of town to a customer's location near here and were looking for a different dining experience. Boy, Mona did not disappoint! We ordered Baba Ganouj, Beef Shwarma and Lamb with Rice. For dessert we had Rice Pudding and Knafe Bel Jibne. The smoke on the pitas and Baba Ganouj was amazing and I don't like smoke on ANYTHING! I don't care for lamb but tried my business partner's meal and LOVED IT! Mona has definitely won me over hands down! The Shwarma was like nothing I have ever had before. And as a BIG pickle lover, this was a hit! The Rice Pudding was very delicate and a perfect ending to a perfect meal. We ordered the Knafe Bel Jibne as we were very curious. It is a warm sweet treat with a very slight hint of savory which comes from the pistachios - YUM! Mona cooks everything herself to order with LOVE! This is such an AMAZING AND UNIQUE dining experience and hidden GEM! This place is a MUST! When you go there, tell Mona that Kat and Rob sent you!“
