“From PA, we were a long way from home and starving. The food here was amazing! It is a take-out style restaurant (for now I think), but there's tables set up outside for your immediate dining. So delicious!!! We were stuffed! Service was as promised for a walk-in, only 20 minutes for a pretty nice size order. And while we were sitting, the door was revolving! Highly recommend! Had to walk back in and thank them again for feeding us! It was so delicious! Great food, Granny's...Thanks again!“
“This was my first time here took about 20 minutes Great price for a 8piece combo with fries and drink! The lemonade was good a bit sugary but got a free refill so can't complain, Definitely would recommend. Big space not a place to dine in but overall great ambiance.“
“The staff, especially the Manager Mike Whalen, were amazing! They all display friendly and courteous attitudes which makes this a wonderful dining experience! The menu offers many delicious dishes, and the biscuits , especially the shortbread biscuits are to die for! As long as Mike continues his impeccable management I will remain a regular customer! Kudos to Mike and his entire staff!Vegetarian options: There are extensive vegan options and some special request can be accommodatedParking: There is unlimited parking in both the lot and street parkingKid-friendliness: I saw families with small children and there was no disruption to the atmosphereWheelchair accessibility: There are handicapped parking spaces directly at the front door and there are no steps leading in or out.“
“This place has been here for a while. I think I have been going for almost 20 years. The chicken is good the subs are good. Fries are good. The half an half is good. It's "city" food in the county. Which is sometimes hard to find. The fish is good too.“
“This is my 2nd time here. I did not leave a review my first time. I really enjoyed their lemonades last time I had the blue raspberry. It was on the sweeter side, but I actually appreciate that because it allows me to go home, pour some out and cut it with water, and now I have two lemonades for the price of one. As far as food I got catfish last time and it was season so well. I went to Hip Hop Chicken and got catfish yesterday and it only made me miss southern blue catfish. I was able to see the difference in seasoning versus someone just adding lemon pepper and sugar on top of the catfish. Their catfish at southern blues is actually seasoned well, hence why I came back again today. I don't know how they make their cornbread, but it had me craving more. I can tell there is cinnamon in it, but I don't know what else, but I really do enjoy it. - Their cabbage is good and their sweet potato's is delicious!! - I would definitely recommend this place as a great carryout option for soul food. Next time I come, I'm looking forward to trying their Chicken and I'll be back to leave another review.“
