“Hidden little gem. Great service very friendly staff. Great food, fresh and was delicious. Reasonable $.“
“It's a small deli mixed with a corner store for wine & beer. Friendly, fast service, clean dining area. Menu - mostly sandwiches & combos. Pricewise - OK for downtown Silver Spring.
Not sure if it's worth to drive to but if you're in the area - solid choice for a lunch or quick bite. YMMV.“

“This subway is the best in that area. I usually eat at subways a lot and have eaten in a lot of locations but I must say this location is the only one that maintains cleanliness and they are not stingy with meat and veggies. Even the online orders come out loaded. 10/10 for this location.“

“The owner received the order and was working. It seems that it was a very difficult time due to the decrease in sales due to the pendemic. The store was very customerless. It's useless to talk to the owner of the situation... It's the same building owner as my store. It was a story that sympathized with the dissatisfied story of the subway owner, hoping that everyone will help and use each other in difficult times....“

“This is an excellent subway shop, everything is clean and looking fresh ( literally, the veggies looked fresh). Everything was great, with my only critique being the sub could have been loaded up a bit more with veggies and meat… a little too much bread : meat and veggie ratio. Not enough of a critique to give less than 5 stars. 5 starts it is.“

“When I walk into a sandwich shop, I’m not looking for poetry. I’m looking for a system that works.
At Jersey Mike’s in Calverton, Maryland, what you see is a business that understands the fundamentals: speed, consistency, and respect for the customer. The place is clean, the line moves with purpose, and the staff behind the counter know exactly what they’re doing. That’s not an accident — that’s discipline.
The sandwich line operates like a well-oiled machine. Bread sliced, meat layered, cheese placed with precision. Then comes what they call “Mike’s Way” — onions, lettuce, tomatoes, vinegar, oil, and spices applied with the confidence of a process refined through repetition. It’s assembly, yes — but it’s craftsmanship within a system. I’ve always believed that excellence is built from repeatable habits, and you can see that philosophy in action here.
Now let’s talk about the product. The sub itself is hearty and honest. The bread has structure — important in a sandwich business — and the ingredients taste fresh and well-kept. Nothing fancy, nothing pretentious. Just a solid American sandwich made quickly and correctly.
What impresses me most is the clarity of the model. Customers know what they’re getting. Employees know how to deliver it. That’s how you build trust, and trust is the backbone of any successful food operation.
If I were evaluating this place as a businessman, I’d say they’ve done something right: they’ve taken a simple idea — a submarine sandwich — and built a reliable process around it.
And in the restaurant business, reliability is everything.
You can build an empire on that.“
