“I usually stick to my routine and don’t like stepping out of my comfort zone, but for some reason, I decided to try a new sandwich place. I Googled one but couldn’t find it. After driving around in circles, I searched for another location—only to find that it was closed for a while, which was incredibly frustrating.

Fortunately, I stumbled upon Sandwiches & Smoothies (S&S) across the street. The food was delicious, the smoothies were fantastic, and the customer service was excellent! My partner and I enjoyed three sandwiches because we were so hungry I highly recommend supporting this small business—they're doing everything right!“

This place is the best example of keeping it simple. They do not try to dress themselves up like the rest of these instagram cafes. They serve delicious sandwiches with quality ingredients at an affordable price. Pure comfort food that warms the soul. The atmosphere of the place is the same. Very unassuming but charming at the same time. Light seating outdoor and indoor for a quick bite during lunch or on your way home from work.

You walk up to the counter, where you order many of the usual stables such as Breakfast Burrito, Eggs, Steak and Cheese, etc. Prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are good. “My teen and I ate here at the outside tables each morning when my family visited DC. I recommend the caprese sandwich. It's made to order (not premade as another reviewer claimed) and delicious. The mango smoothie is also top-notch. The staff is nice.“

“Ok so just ordered the Turkey on Gluten Free Multigrain and man this is the best gluten free sandwich in the area hands down. The proportions are perfect, flavours blend well, and the bread tastes great + doesn’t fall apart and is not dry. 10/10 would definitely order again to try their GF sub roll!

Edit: Tried the Capicola with GF sub roll and yeah this is my new sandwich spot now.

“Probably the best Cubano I’ve had in the DMV, and I’ve had a ton of them. So flavorful, great quality meat and super balanced. I don’t even like waffle fries, but theirs are so crispy that I genuinely enjoyed them. The worker (possibly owner?) was also so nice and the service was very prompt. Great prices as well! “I came out of the metro stop on the way to work and saw this little unsuspecting shop. I decided later that day to go to lunch with my coworkers and suggested this place. There were quite a lot of people in line for these sandwiches, which was a very good sign already.
Reasonably priced and the KBBQ sub is STUFFED with saucy, slightly spicy meat and yummy pickled veggies. The turkey melt is also a popular favorite and my coworker liked it. It made me full for the whole day. I really want to try their bowls next time!“

“I had the avocado, mozzarella and tomato toast, which actually come out as a sandwich. It was very delicious and quite filling. It was actually much larger than I thought it was going to be. The service was a little sub par, they mixed up several orders, but I ultimately got my correct order.

Parking: Parking is at the airport, so price would depend on where you parked.“

“Excellent Subs! online website for pickup or delivery has been improved so you can select delivery online without any problems. This was partially due to the website connection to Doordash at the same time, even if you do not select them and are doing a delivery, not pickup. The employees at the store never see the directions. That goes to Doordash's website and must be sent over to another delivery company but on the website it is clear that Jersey Mike's prefers Doordash as they actually have it highlighted in blue and call it Jersey Mike's Preferred way to have delivery.
I just had a conversation with someone who was very nice at the Rockville Store. But just about confusion over the vinegar and olive oil which I explain if you keep reading. The confusion about the oil and vinegar if you want to keep an extra sub in the fridge and don't want the bread like it was dipped in water the next day. I was told what I thought was two different stories and the nice man just explained the confusion to me. I was told olive oil and then the vinegar are already together, which contradicts the check boxes on the website. The website is correct. What they do if you want them on the side is: they have already made on the side cups for both oil and the vinegar, both but in separate cups. They will only give you one or the other if you add a note to the "Customization" button. They will always give both to customers together otherwise, which explains the confusion and makes perfect sense to me. If they start taking from the premade pairs then they will end up with having just one or the other so they leave the pairs alone to go out together. What you don't know when ordering online is that they always sent out both unless you say literally "Oil on the side" under the "Customization" part of the order process, for example. Then they will go get an empty cup and pour you a side cup of oil directly from the olive oil bottle, same for just the vinegar. That is why managers told me they were both together at first which is really confusing when the website shows them separate.“

“I was in town for a conference and came here every day for breakfast and coffee. The breakfast burritos are really tasty and have a good mix of veggies, potatoes, eggs and meat. I didn't once have a bad latte when I went. By the end of the week, the person at the checkout recognized us and our order and knew how to ring us up immediately. Great service. Super legit sandwich shop located inside some kind of mixed offices building, very close to the metro. From cold sandwiches to wraps to the hot stuff, these guys really know whats up. Very kind and efficient staff without too many frills. Skip that Potbelly down the street, this is the best sandwich spot you'll find south of the Potomac.“

“Running errands and turned off 395 to make some phone calls. Pulled in to the parking lot and decided to try JJ's vice the Subway nearby. Glad I did. This was during COVID-19 era, so I ordered my sandwich, went out side to make some calls and 5-7 minutes later my Pannini was done. I believe I had the roast beef w/ bacon, but whatever it was - it was cooked just right and the veggies didn't overbear the sandwichs as is often the case. “Subway is a go to staple of mine. Today due to many factors I needed to buy lunch and was on 123. I saw this subway and pulled in. First off they greeted me as I entered. Nice touch. The store was adequately staffed and turning sandwiches fast. Everyone was friendly and professional. I ordered the subway club which is thankfully back on the menu. When I started eating my sandwich the first thing I noticed was the roll. This was much better then any subway I have been to. The roll had a nice crust and was soft and fluffy on the inside like it should be. All the ingredients tasted fresh and I have never been happier with a sandwich from subway in all the years I have been going (20+) Great crew at this location.“
