“At first we were a little surprised to be eating in a Days Inn -- and Al-Madani is unassuming atmospherically. “Me and my friend both went there yesterday and I already knew that the food was going to be fire, because you can never go wrong with a local mom and pop type of restaurant. But even then, the food was better than I expected. The owners were very nice and you could tell that they are passionate about what they do and they don’t skip steps. Definitely recommend going here for the food and good vibes.“

“Absolutely the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. I have been eating at Roaming Rooster at their other locations for the past few years, this was my first time at this location and it is by far our favorite. We came in New Year's Eve with a party of 8 around 1 PM. We were able to order and find seats immediately. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. The woman running the front was very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The facility was very clean and well put together. The only issue we had was that there was no soap in the bathroom. I highly recommend and will return.“

“They have very delicious Halal food for Muslims, the taste is very good, the quantity is great and the price is awesome! If you go to another restaurant for Halal food you will pay more than Naz’s at least $5 more!

The staff was very helpful, respectful and nice, the establishment is clean and you can see how they prepare their/your food. I ordered their steak and cheese with wedge fries, it was so yummy. “I went by to the location in PG plaza Mall in Hyattsville when I first entered the establishment I waited a second since there was one person that was serving another customer, I was than greeted and asked what I would like. I ordered a lamb bowl and a chicken shawarma, paid for l my order then went home. When I had my bowl it was just like I ordered but when I saw the dismay of my fiancés face something appeared to be wrong. I looked at the wrap it appeared to be prepared sloppy , falling apart and runny from juices of the ingredients. He said he didn’t want it and I returned to the place to try to get a refund. To make the story short the manger of the store wasn’t of any help but staff did suggest me getting another sandwich. I reluctantly agreed despite my fiancé not wanting a sandwich because of presentation. The person who made my sandwich spoke in her native tounge with another staff and was nonchalant about the situation but Christain was eager to make things right.“

“I come to this Mezeh at least 3 times a week. So much so that the employees recognize me when I come in. I am amazed to see these one star ratings. As many times as I have come in, they have been nothing but gracious and provide outstanding customer service. I read some of these one star ratings and with the exception of the delivery for the corporate affair, I question some.

As a native Ward 8 member I was elated to see Mezeh and other corporate chains coming into my community. But I also realized that there would be challenges (which is why it is so hard to keep such businesses here). I’m gone say it… some of my fellow Anacostians just are not respectful. I have seen some come in the store and because they have to pay extra for extra meat or something more that they want, they go off. I one time had to say something because it was so innapropriate and unwarranted. It’s like they try to bully the workers because they are not black.

I hate to say this but it happens too much not in just this store but others and I’m tired of seeing establishments shut down because employees don’t want to be threatened or harmed. Walmart pulled out from being over here because they were going to have to pay too much for security and the Giant has threatened to pull out as well. IHOP is closed, the 7/11 on Barry Ave closed, Subway use to stay open 24 hours but had to stop because of this craziness. We can’t keep nothing over here and it’s not the establishment, it’s us not knowing how to receive customer service. I know these are hard times but damn.

This is a great store and I have only been in Starbucks and The Smoothie store and they are trying to make it in a tough area. Good Luck yall cause I wouldn’t put up with some of this bull. Peace“

“I was amazed at how fresh the food looked. I had to wait 3 minutes for the falafel to cook which wasn't too long. I added several items to my salad which came to a reasonable amount of $13 some cents. It took 2 meals for me to eat my entire salad. I definitely would be back!!!
