“Over the years we have visited numerous Italian restaurants in the area. We have had some bad experiences and were hesitant to try another Italian restaurant in the area. I am glad that we decided to try Cristina's. The food was amazing and delicious! We started with the scallops that were cooked perfectly. I followed that with Fetucini Alfredo which was well prepared and the sauce was what I expect from an authentic Italian restaurant. My wife had the Branzini fish and it was fresh and well cooked. To make the night even better, the service, led by Elmer, was above and beyond. The wine he recommended for each of our dishes complimented the dishes perfectly. I plan to go back and take our close friends with us.“

“Me and my husband came to the bar for a la carte dining, had an amazing time with a very personalized beverage pairing (s/o to Chris our bartender!) We'll DEFINITELY be back to do the entire tasting menu. Lovely atmosphere, not stuffy, great music, GOOD LIGHTING (hard to come by in DC) and overall stellar food. Come here for your next date night or special occasion dinner, you won't regret it!“

“We are obsessed with Revelers hour! It’s so cozy inside and the food is always delicious - the garlic knots are a must. Great alternative to tail up goat , more food for less price! Our waiter was great at selecting wines for our table. Also good for vegetarians too - plenty of options I could choose from! The tortelli and the ceaser are some of our favorites.Vegetarian options: Multiple pastas and appetizers for vegetarians!“

“Great food, super cute and chic ambiance, and easy, prompt service. The menu has all the classics of an upscale Italian restaurant and the flavors + portions don't disappoint! I had the Burrata, the mushroom pasta, and the broccolini - all were well prepared and delicious. The price point is certainly on the higher side but nonetheless it's a cute and cosy spot that I hope to be back to soon. Glad to have this option in the neighborhood!“

“We had a late lunch, so not busy. Food was excellent. Service was good, as was the atmosphere. I feel to judge it thoroughly and truly, I should go at peak hours. However, I would definitely go again, and I have already recommended it to a friend.“

“We have been a few times over the years the experience is always great. The staff are always very helpful and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is great. The food is delicious, we have always enjoyed our meals. Take your time and take it in. We always like to just slow things down a bit and enjoy when we visit. It will be on the more expensive side but worth the cost.Parking: Paid parking but Validated up to 2 hours. Small garage underneath/near the restaurant.“

“Brunch menu had a wonderful variety of choices. And, the food was delicious & well-prepared. Of particular note was the tiramisu cake — excellent taste & presentation! I did find the prices of the entrees and sides to be a bit too pricey. I think a small portion of one of a side dish (beyond the greens provided) should be included in the entree price. Additionally, I found the focaccia offered to be tasty, but paltry in size/quantity. The restaurant itself is modern & pretty. But, sitting by the wall that is shared with the kitchen was noisy —- many bumps into the wall from the kitchen side. Service was attentive, but thought it a little odd that the waiter had to wipe down tables between diners. I will go again for dinner!“

“Went to Angelo’s Pizza Pasta and Deli for the first time not too long ago and the service was immaculate. Everyone is very nice, they get your order done on time even offer saples while you wait! I got the spaghetti with meatballs and it was fantastic. Although it’s not restaurant or five star food it’s just like Mom’s cooking. A well home-made dish that you can’t beat for the price. Will be going again soon!“

“Gregorio's Trattoria has become a regular in our take-out dinner rotation. Food is consistently excellent, orders are always ready when expected, and folks that work there are very nice and engaging. Great pizza, chicken parm, shrimp fra diavolo, bruschetta, carbonara, salads...everything is really good. Portions are large enough for two meals, so it turns out their prices are very reasonable...and they have been sending me $10 coupons every time i order guaranteeing I come back. Highly recommend.“

“Casual dining heaven...what a find! This cozy spot is close to Clemyjontri playground (my nice and nephew love) ticked all the boxes for a laid-back dinner. Despite the hustle and bustle, the staff managed to seat us promptly, and their friendly demeanor added to the inviting atmosphere. Now, let's talk about the food - simply delicious! The pasta selection was impressive, and the build-your-own-pasta option was a hit with our group. And for those craving something classic, the chicken parm didn't disappoint. I was pleasantly surprised by the availability of Peroni 0.0 - a perfect choice for a non-alcoholic drinker (like myself that evening). In summary, if you're in the area and craving some comfort food in a relaxed setting, this spot is a must-visit. We'll definitely be returning for more pasta perfection. And as always, go Caps! #bubblytip: Great spot to go with children“

“A first date cancelled on my 20 minutes before we were supposed to meet. My super sweet server consoled me and even gave me a free dessert. The whole staff was unbelievably nice, and my Monday night half price pizza was delish. I've also had the pasta in the past and thought it was great, too. Cozy decor. I recommend.“

“I called in for a to-go order on a rainy Wednesday night, and got a small meat lovers pizza with lemon cake. I don't think the pizza was worth it as it reminded me of dry frozen pizza that I could've baked myself for a fraction of the cost. The lemon cake was delicious however! The owners were very sweet when I went to pick up my food and even gave me a small discount-- an even $20 instead of $21 and some change haha. I would come back to try their cheesesteaks, but would avoid the pizza in all honesty.“

“I wanted to post an update since my last review. I’m so impressed at the professionalism and follow up I received from the manager after my feedback. Ms. Robertson was thoughtful. Kind and helpful in discussing what happened and she also rectified the situation by providing gift certificates so we can have another opportunity to go back to the restaurant. Thank you for taking care of your customers. We are very pleased with this outcome.“

“This was my first visit to Capri despite living in McLean for several years. It is a traditional white tablecloth restaurant and I was a bit hesitant to try it, but the food was wonderful. My rack of lamb was cooked just the way I requested and was not at all fatty/greasy as some lamb can be. The dark gravy was excellent as were the accompanying vegetables and crispy small roasted potato wedges. The other members of my party had Italian dishes which they were very happy with. Desserts - spumoni encased in chocolate and tiramisu - were excellent. We will definitely be back.“

“Had a really nice meal here! In line with Italian cuisine - they execute really well on simple dishes. They did a couple of classics very well in the Bolognese, and the spaghetti & meatballs. They also did great on one of the night's specials - duck ragu. All of that with the house red and tiramisu for dessert made for a wonderful dinner“
“I found this place on Google “Latest in the area” feature and it is a real find. Prices are very reasonable and the food is of exceptional quality and the taste is amazing. We bought Spinach Cannelloni and Vegetable Lasagna, a pound of sausage and a pound of meatballs. I wanted some porcetta but they don’t sell it by the pound, it’s only in a sandwich. I had him sell me the meat only from the sandwich. It was heavenly. Cannelloni and Lasagna are made with silky fresh pasta sheets. We left with over 10 pounds of delicious food and with tax it was under $60. You can’t beat that deal. The owner is a super nice and accommodating guy. While we were there people were constantly coming and going. Almost everything we bought was in a freezer case. They have picnic tables outside to eat the sandwiches. They even bake their own bread rolls.“

“Tried this new restaurant in Bethesda. The service was excellent. Even got to chat with the owner’s mother. The appetizers were very good. The fish dish was superb and the spaghetti dish with clams was good although they were small. Apple cake was a nice desert and the sambuca was good but lacking the coffee beans. Only negative thing was the noise. Could barely hear the server. But I would definitely go back.“

“Great fast casual dining spot with a very cozy Italian vibe. Exceptional Neopolitan Pizza and the pastas are also good. It is very obvious that they use very fresh and high quality ingredients. A tad pricey for a fast casual restaurant but the quality of food makes up for it. Keep up the great food PiccoliPiatti!“

“We came to D.C. for a couple days from AZ and my son wanted Italian. I sent my Mom some options in many different areas and she chose this place, and I’ll admit when we were dropped off in this area, I wasn’t quite sure, but we decided to go in, and were warmly welcomed, and enjoyed an amazing meal! I got the Gnocchi with Meat Sauce, my Mom enjoyed Ravioli with cream sauce, and my son said his spaghetti with meat sauce was one of the best! We go out to eat A LOT, and am glad we gave this little place a try.“

“I understand how it feels to have low expectations for food and then be pleasantly surprised by how good it is. I had a great experience with the pizza - the amount of cheese and sauce on it, along with the light and crunchy crust, must have been a real treat for my taste buds. Based on my recommendation, I would consider trying their pizza myself. And if you do end up trying their burgers or sandwiches in the future, please let me know how they are!“

“I was thinking of chicken parm all week. I get these cravings out of nowhere. Eater recommended Capa Tosta so I made a reservation. Parking was challenging. Metro was too far away. Eventually I found a spot...I was concerned as most of the houses and businesses had bars on the windows. I head into the restaurant. First impression is how small it is inside. Not a cut, just an observation. I would say it has a cozy kind of place good for a date or family dinner out. I grab a seat at the bar. I already looked at the wine selection so I decided on a glass of the house red. The menu has a lot of good choices but I ultimately decided on the chicken parmesan with pasta and sauce. It's a Thursday at dinnertime and I'm alone in the restaurant...maybe later things will pick up. My food arrives and smells delicious. I order a wine refill and I'm enjoying the tasty sauce and tender chicken. It's two tenders vs a chicken breast but no matter. Solid quality and taste. After a while I pay the check and I'm out. This is the second restaurant recommended by de.eater.com that has been in a rough neighborhood. I'll be doing my research elsewhere. When you're worried about where you parked and whether the car will be there when you're done eating it makes the dining experience less enjoyable.“

“We came in as a very large group (13 of us) on a Saturday night… We did call before coming and the staff put together some tables and made it work for us. They also were very accommodating during out visit. They were moderately busy when we went, so we were thankful they were able to accommodate us!The service and food were great! One person got their Greek salad with chicken and she loved it, plus it was a rather large salad. I tried a couple of types of their pizza and they were both nicely done, fresh, and piping hot! The sauce was decent, not a “NY or Napaleon” style, but decent nonetheless.Overall, we had no complaints… it was great for us as a large family to gather and eat!“

“My sister and I enjoyed a wonderful authentic meal at Melekete Restaurant. The waitresses were very friendly with beautiful smiles and they helped us pronounce the names of the entrees. The atmosphere was very cozy and the light jazz complements the setting. At the end of the dinner, we were both surprised when the waitress brought a complimentary slice of strawberry shortcake for my sister and then the whole restaurant lit up with the “Happy Birthday to Ya” song by Stevie Wonder. It was an unforgettable evening. Thank you for a job well done, Melekete Restaurant! We will come back to see you soon!“

“Pizza for $2.50 a slice. Very old school Italian deli. It was great to see this kind of place still going strong in an age of chain markets and restaurants. We also picked up some funky looking pasta sauce. We'll definitely be coming back to get olives as a party appetizer, or a pizza as takeout.“

“I wish I could give them 5 stars. If I had to recommend 1 deli in DC this would be it. This is an amazing traditional deli. I felt like a kid in a candy shop with the cannolis, traditional Italian beverages, and amazing menu. The service was great and I was recommended the prosciutto which was hand cut in front of me. 10/10, I'm going to come back and have everything on the menu.“

“We had a great experience here. The complimentary bread was delicious. I got the pappardelle with Wild mushrooms and it was packed with umami flavor and the butter sauce was very unctuous. “I came to Caruso’s after hearing so much about it with a couple of my friends and we were not disappointed! The food was great and they were accommodating of dietary restrictions which was nice. The burrata was absolutely delicious and definitely a menu highlight. The gnocchi a la genovese and the penne alla vodka were great dishes overall. Our drinks were pretty good as well and the tiramisu was decent. Ordered espresso at the end and had to ask a couple of times for it because it seemed as though they were a little understaffed. Coffee was delicious though.“

“Love the pizza. But ... Seasoning is KEPT on the top of the trash receptacle. I once asked staff behind the counter if they could keep it elsewhere, but it didn't do any good. Yech!I went there last night and they had seasoning on top of the trash, as usual. They had seasoning in plastic containers like what you'd have sour cream or cottage cheese in. But with no top at all. Putting garlic powder on my slice without putting too much on was a challenge. You guys gotta do better.Update: Thanks for your response. I mentioned the issue once to your staff. They told me when they put the seasonings in a different spot, customers just put them back atop the trash.I don't believe that because *every single time I go there, they're *only on the trash container -- *never anywhere else. Ever. And .. even if that *were true? Figure out a way to prevent them from being removed -- or maybe put on top of the trash something round or whatever to prevent them from staying on top.Somehow, there's a way to prevent this problem. If you succeed, then I promise to delete from this review the part about the trash. If you don't, I'll add photos.“

“Walked by this place and went in on a whim. It was self seating, but we were greeted as we walked in. They had a nice robust menu and the service was fast. We had layers to drink so they left a pitcher for us. There was no rushing to get out of there and was definitely a great place for how relatively inexpensive it was for three people to eat. “Olive Garden is as good as you will get for a chain restaurant. We really weren't going there because the food is top tier, we went because it has a great family atmosphere which ends up making the food taste. Little better. The service was superb for our party of 25 and I would definitely come back just for that. Even when we were leaving the manager (or who I thought) was the manager greeted us all goodbye and made sure our service was good during ordering. Just an added touch of care.
