“Title: Sensational Hot and Sour Soup at Taipei and TokyoTaipei and Tokyo's hot and sour soup is exceptional. With its perfect blend of spiciness and tanginess, paired with tender chicken, tofu, mushrooms, and bamboo shoots, each spoonful is pure delight. It's a must-try for anyone craving an outstanding hot and sour soup experience. The service is outstanding!“
“Wonderful experience at Perry's, new favorite spot in Adams Morgan! We absolutely love the food, service and vibe of this restaurant. It's spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The service was 10/10. Our server gave superb recommendations for drinks/food and checked in with us frequently. The food itself was INCREDIBLE! The sushi and beef tongue stew were so delicious. The menu is hard to beat...so much variety and cool twists on classic food items. We felt so comfortable and welcomed at Perry's and will definitely be back!“
“The weather was beautiful today, and flowers were blooming. And this little cozy place was perfect for me. The chirashi bowl was very satisfying... the fish was so tasty and fresh! I don't think anyone can beat this price with the quality of chirashi here. What a surprise... that I could trust Yelp reviews once again :)“
“One of the best sushi places in the DMV area and I've been to a lot of sushi places! They have nice portions. Their Black Magic is amazing. Their belly bun is good and I just recommend everything on their menu super flavorful and awesome service.“
“This used to be my neighborhood sushi restaurant. I live in NYC now and I never miss an opportunity to dine at SushiKo when in DC. The fish is super-fresh and beautifully prepared. The staff is attentive without being overbearing. The wine list is very good. Am already thinking about the next visit.“
“The food is always good and service is prompt but the hostess wasextremely rude and didn't even pay attention to us for 15 minutes while we were standing there. Although our reservation was madeahead of time she didn't even bother to ask my name and the reservation time. Her manner ruined our evening although the foodwas good. We are not going to go back there again.“
“My wife and I stopped in, while shopping, for a bite to eat. The restaurant was almost unoccupied, we were seated promptly by a polite server. The environment was quiet, and a little cool for me. I ordered a cup of hot tea which appeared quickly and was warming. I ordered the Tempura Shrimp Bento box. I was surprised at how much it provided to eat: A small bowl of miso soup, two sizable Tempura Shrimp, slices of Tempura fried sweet potato, onion ring, and two other sliced tempura root vegetables I did not recognize, two Shumai dumplings, four pieces of sushi, a salad with carrot/ginger dressing, a serving of steamed white rice. Everything was good, but for my palate, too many Tempura root vegetable slices. (Interestingly, the miso soup was sbrought to the table in an ice cold bowl; this rapidly cooled down the miso soup.) My wife ordered the Habachi steak lunch combination, she says the steak was a little tough and cooked more than she requested. Her lunch included a salad with carrot/giner dressing. Two spicy salmon sushi items were also included. This combination included a substantial serving of good, tasty fried rice. ( I shared one of my Tempura shrimp with my wife: She says it was good.) We both decided we shall return, but next visit we will investigate other choices on the menu.“
“Blown away with this unassuming spot for sashimi, nigiri, and sushi perfection in Rockville! Everything was incredibly fresh and they do not skimp on the cuts. Honestly took me back to visiting Tokyo last year in the best way.We did try their miso ramen (solid 6/10) and crab wontons (solid 4) which were alright - if I'm coming here it'll definitely be for the fish.“
“I went here for lunch as I was looking for something a little bit light and this place did not disappoint. Their menu consist of customizable sushi, bowls, and sushi burritos, as well as a variety of drinks and small bites. I got the B5 silver spring roll without the wonton chips and with added eel sauce. The service was very quick and the woman working in the store was very kind and helpful. My burrito was really good and the fish tasted fresh. I opted to eat in my car, but there is plenty of seating within the establishment if you have a small party. This place is located next to the LA fitness in the shopping center. if I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stop here for a quick bite.“
“This place makes delicious Japanese home food and high quality sushi. They have Hokkaido uni lately, and it's an absolute treat. We have been coming here for over a decade and have never had a bad meal. The staff is kind and attentive on top of everything else.“
“Someone shared a review of how they didn't appreciate how the DJ said their song request was annoying. They forgot to mention how they were making the request with their phone and that is very annoying to every DJ. Also, it's called a "request" meaning the DJ can or cannot play if they choose. As far as I've experienced, every DJ at Death Punch has been on point and plays to the crowd and not the individual (there have been so many terrible song requests). This venue is fun and always vibin. To the other poster...go listen to Grammy winning Olivia Rodrigo in your car if you want. The rest of us will dance to whatever the DJs choose to play.“
“The food is very good. I was incredibly impressed by the service and overall quality of the food. The ambiance is weird. It is almost like a food court in how it's set up. Regardless, the food we got was incredible and they were very attentive to us when we went. Their gyoza is fantastic and their sashimi just melts in your mouth.“
“So delicious! I ordered spider roll and salmon roll. By far the best I have had in a long time. The staff was friendly and everything looked clean and organized.Bonus- I can walk there! I no longer have to drive farbto get some scrumptious sushi. This will be our new sushi spot.“
“It's a small sushi restaurant on a busy street but there's a public parking garage a couple of feet away. The workers/owners? were nice and quick with service. Even offered recommendations. Not sure if they get a lot of dine-in customers because my friend and I were the only ones there around 6pm. At the end of our meal the server gave us a small plate of fruit, yum! I would definitely go back for a second round.“
“Lots and lots of food options (don’t forget to look at their Menu Specials, separate from their regular menu). Loved that their menu was marked for dietary restrictions (I.e., GF) so we did not have to ask additional on how the dish was prepared. The server was very attentive and all dishes came out fast and fresh. Absolutely loved their garlic fried rice, good to have in addition to sushi rolls.Dietary restrictions: Menu is marked with all GF options.“
“Had a fantastic meal at Kusshi Sushi in Silver Spring last week. We ordered maki and nigiri sushi as well as gyoza and shrimp. I lived in Japan for 8 years and was impressed by the size of the fish in the sushi and how fresh the fish was. Also the service was excellent. The only possible drawback is the atmosphere. It has a hip, young vibe and is a little loud, so it feels somewhat atypical for a classic sushi restaurant. That said, the sushi was so good - and reasonably priced for the size of the fish - that I will definitely be returning as soon as I can!“
“Such a cute shop with absolutely delicious desserts and drinks. The matcha crepe cake was my personal favorite of the deserts we tried but the cheesecake and the matcha nama chocolate were also great.Their hojicha is absolutely delicious and they have a wonderful variety! I definitely want to come back to try the other drinks and the soft serve. It is on the pricier side per drink but worth it in my mind.“
“This restaurant has a great atmosphere with a hip ramen place vibe. I love their big Japanese mural in the back. The ramen was excellent and worth every cent, you will definitely leave with your belly full! It is super easy to get to from campus. The staff were friendly and helpful.“
“We order pick up 2-3 times a month here. The tempura shrimp appetizer always comes hot and crunchy. The sizes of fish in their hand rolls are generous. The inside of the restaurant is usually empty when I pick up my orders , but they are busy with takeout.Recommend to people who are looking for a good Japanese takeout place in Rockville.“
“Good value and food was very good. Spring roll was a little soft but otherwise the food was excellent. A full plate of food for about 10 bucks. Yum yum. Quick lunch place,if you can find a spot in the lot at lunch. That center has a few lunch spots when im in Kensington, and parking can be sparse.“
“Cute sushi spot in Gaithersburg with the nicest staff and delicious sushi. We ordered so many rolls from this spot and they all tasted fresh and divine. We also ordered the green salad and seaweed salad. The ladies working here are super attentive, we felt like they checked us frequently! Overall, this place is a great restaurant and the prices are amazing.“
“We haven't been here since the pandemic, and it was a wonderful rediscovery of the place. We had the Triple Delight Sushi and the Shrimp and Veggie tempura;they were both very succulent and fresh. The servings were huge, for me at least.Service was excellent, and the service charge was already added to the bill, which is a nice change from having to do the math ?, though we did give additional tip as the service was really good.“
“Really neat, cozy spot for homestyle Japanese food + interesting wine and a large sake menu. We enjoyed sitting at the bar upstairs, and particularly loved the special black cod with miso, the snap peas, and the fried rice. Everything was made with care and presented in an elegant yet approachable fashion. Looking forward to returning the next time I am in DC.Vegetarian options: There is a section of the menu devoted to vegetable dishes, as well as tofu, vegetable tempura, and vegetarian fried rice or noodles.“
“Recently went to Fuji Japan since most restaurants in the area were closed and my parents and I were craving some type of Asian cuisine.Food is average, but decent given the price. It's a casual restaurant so when ordering you go up to the counter and pay for your food. If you decide to dine-in they'll serve you. Service is fairly quick though so no complaints about that. I had tried their boba which was not the best but not the worst. I don't think I would get it again in comparison to actually boba stores. It's definitely not tea based but I'm just glad it wasn't overly sweet. The tapioca tasted pretty good though! I recommend their miso soup but their salad and tempura you can skip out on.“
“High quality food, service, and setting. Highly recommend the toro, maguro, and chicken teriyaki don bowl.I also really appreciate that the water cup is a full sized 24oz cup.To top it all off, some miso soup to conclude lunch rounded out an excellent experience. Grateful I stopped by and will come back several more times!“
“This is a great little place. We were looking for a quick place to get sushi without spending a fortune. Ordered the fried cream cheese wontons (not fantastic but tasty), and two sushi burritos (raging bull and the crouching tiger). Both were excellent and filling. Definitely recommend this place. It is a small place in a strip mall setting.“
“Best sushi ever! My family and I love Moko Sushi and dine there on a regular basis. The service is outstanding. The atmosphere is causal. The sushi is consistently fresh. The yellow tail and scallops melt in your mouth. I highly recommend Moko Sushi.“
“This review is for 2 sushi rolls; I'll update this later if I try some other items. Bento Express opened about a year ago, across the street from my neighborhood. Its fast food Japanese, which is new to me. I was late coming home last night and in a pinch for food so I finally gave this spot a try. I got two salmon rolls, the Salmon Lover and the Spicy Salmon Roll, which were $9.95 and $6.95 respectively. Compared to a normal restaurant the pricing is great, especially given that the fish and ingredients were all very fresh. Downside is that neither rolls had much flavor, which is kind of odd considering they were both drizzled with spicy mayo sauce. Usually I don't need soy sauce for a lot of my sushi but in this case I did. Food Quality: 5 stars Food Flavor: 2.5 stars Value: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Ambience: 4 stars Honestly, despite the lack of flavor in the rolls, the food seemed so fresh that I'd give it another try.“
“Excellent food and friendly service! I come with a big crew every time I go out to eat(At least 7 kids, hubby and MIL!) and the order is always right!Kid-friendliness: They kindly offer tiny ice cream scoop at the end of a meal. The kids are so happy for this little perk!“
“I grew up in Seattle and recently had a craving for just some basic Americanized teriyaki. First I tried Go-Stir Fry Express in Wheaton mall... was a bit disappointed, but it scratched the itch. Then I tried Hibachi Express in Kensington - Much better, not bad at all. But I like this one even more. They ask if you want extra teriyaki on top at the end, and they have more vegetables and chile sauce available (If I were to guess, probably just your run of the mill Huy-Fong Chili Garlic Sauce, but it's a nice contrast on your veggies and rice to the sweet . There's a white sauce too, but I cannot hang with mayo and I am 99% sure it's probably based on mayo. Only problem is that if I am going to Bestway across the street now, I have to decide between this, Aarash Market, or Pupuseria Vanessa if I'm hungry.“
“Definitely a place to stop by to enjoy some sushi. We had the shrimp tempura, California roll, spicy tuna eel, and the ramen. Atmosphere was great; staff were attentive and very professional. Def looking forward to trying out the entire menu. I drove so I couldn't order from the drink menu. There is quite a selection. My phone died before I could take pictures of the drink menu. Stop by and get your sushi on.“
“This has become our go-to sushi place! It does not disappoint. Great quality, great value, and wonderful staff. They also usually give out a free serving of their house special (soybean) roll and sometimes we even gotten to try another sample of their menu. Its a smaller location but a hidden gem in a plaza right off 270 and Montrose. We usually park in the garage under the adjoining Harris Teeter for 2 hour free parking.“
“This is the only sushi place I order from now! Been going here for over a year now and it has never disappointed. Luckily, their indoor dining has opened again as well. Their takeout is always fresh and the quality of their sushi is perfect. Best of all, the staff are always very friendly and welcoming. I can't recommend this place enough!“
“For someone looking to try ramen for the first time this is the place to go!!!! ?I ordered the Shrimp teriyaki Ramen ? with extra spicy, and OH MY GOD!!!! the ramen was so filling, the broth was super yummy and the shrimps were cooked perfectly! On shop stop for Ramen ?“
“If you are looking for ramen, then I think you're goin, which comes with roasted pork belly, fish cg to enjoy Maki Bar! I ordered the Tonkatsu ramen, which came with roasted pork belly, a little bit of corn, bok choy, scallion and seaweed. The pork belly was tasty. Almost kind of smoky but delicious and not too fatty. The broth was flavorful as well. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was super clean, and it was busy with a lot of take out orders. They even have sushi platters here in case you want to have a party at home! I recommend you come in person if you're going to have ramen. This is more of a place you'd come (or order out) for a casual meal. Maybe not for a date night.“
“The jalapeño popper sushi was amazing and I'll definitely order again. Unfortunately the shrimp tempura was good but the consistency was too dense. The flavor was good but there was too much rice which took away from the overall taste. I also may be picky because I've lived Japan.“
“Spacious restaurant with nice decor. Tables aren't too close together. Appetizer selection was good. The tempura calamari was delicious. Ordered the Hibachi chicken and salmon. It was cooked just perfect. Our chef did a good job entertaining and preparing the food. Great birthday experience for our teen son. Recommended!“
“I've come to La Fantome multiple times for group lunches, thought I'd try out this kitchen since a lot people from my group order here. I do like the ability to order from your phone, it allows you time to look over the menu & not feel rushed. Customer service was good, only interacted with a server when they delivered my food. Had the California Roll which was good for the price. Will order from here again.“
“Great local sushi place! It was our first time so we ordered a selection of rolls and nigiri and we enjoyed it! The fish tasted fresh, and the rolls were creative and well made. This is the first Sushi place we've been able to try in the area, so not sure how it compares to other sushi places around, but it's definitely worth visiting if you are local and in the mood! They also do takeout!“
“I went for the happy hour deal $2 per piece of nigiri sushi. The sushi was fresh and the fish was very tender. I also ordered the pork shoyu ramen which was delicious. Inside the restaurant is small but they have outdoor dining during the warmer months.“
“Just a great Japanese express restaurant since I had the combination of chicken, beef, and shrimp, in addition to the General Tso's chicken were just phenomenal and the Godzilla roll was just a blast. 9/10 just could include a few more items on the menu.“
“My go-to for sushi around Bethesda, and it never fails to deliver a great experience, always consistent.Friendly staff and fast service, it is also a great place for drinks after hours! If you want an amazing experience, make sure to try their sushi boat combos! Great for parties of 4 or more.“
“Really good, fresh sushi. Every time I go. Actually this is my go to place, for sushi, when I don't want to drive too far. I frequent the Tropical Thunder, Dynamite, Maryland and Volcano Rolls. I also like the bento boxes, when I want a variety of food. My husband loves the teriyaki plates. The Yum Yum sauce is super spicy! Sweet, but spicy.“
“My family and I like this place.Food Quality: more selections of appetizers and taste better than most places around Rockville area. Though my husband still prefers the quality of Maki Maki's ramen. Everything else is great here.Staff: always happy and nice, attentive.“
“I have been coming to Isushi since I was at least 13, and I’m 25… I came in today and it’s gone. I will MISS THEM FOREVER!!!! I hope you guys see this! I love you guys very much. I hope all is well. This really is heartbreaking to see you go!!!! Please let me know if you’re going elsewhere!!!“
“Super friendly staff, fast service (although be patient when it's super busy), and delicious foodThey have a happy hour special until 7:30 pm for beer, house sake, and 2 pieces for $2. We availed ourselves of these and it was delicious (maybe 60 pieces a person?)“
“I can not describe how much this orange chicken saved my day! It had been a long day and since it was late there weren’t many options. However, I called Bite of Asia 10 minutes before they closed and they were still able to make me an amazing meal in 6 minutes. Truly amazing! Also the gentleman at the front was so kind and welcoming!!“
“The food and a excellent and great value for the large portions. I had the beef donburi and the Katsu son on separate visits. The beef is sliced perfectly thin with just the right combination of fat and lean meat. The katsu don was perfectly cooked and truly represented the German influence of this dish. 4 stars because no place is perfect.“
“I LOVE the hot and sour soup! In addition the other day I had a mixture of vegetables with chicken. Absolutely delicious also. Being a Vietnamese Restaurant it does a great job at meeting our needs with various food options. I highly recommend trying and have no doubt that you would not be disappointed.“
“Yooooo... when Sarku closed down, it left a huge hold in my heart that I thought would never be filled with yum yum sauce again. But I was wrong. Suki Hana is in a way a great replacement... like when a careless parent loses the family hamster, so he quickly replaces said hamster with a new pet, but how the duck does kids know the difference between gerbils and hamster, I'm sorry son, but Mr. Nibbles is probably dead so just accept Nibbles 2.0... for Christ sakes! But I digress. Suki Hana is a great replacement and fills that void that Sarku left... and no, I'm not eating my depression away. Also the food was so good, I forgot to take pictures.“
