“I gave the Woodbine Inn a high score in the categories listed. However I wanted to make others aware that they apply a 3% fee for using a charge card. I find this appalling on the part of the owners and would probably discourage others from eating there on this basis alone. Most people use credit cards when they go out to eat for ease of payment. If not considered on the expense side of their business suggest the owners go into another business. Appalling and pathetic.“

“I purchased the $2 crabs ($15 dozen, cold/cash only discount). When I tell you they were meaty, delicious and so well worth the price. OMGOODNESS I was so delighted because I usually get jumbo/extra large crabs. These crabs did not disappoint at all. I brought three dozen and I freeze them so I can eat them year round or throughout the months ahead. I was so hesitant to buy $2 crabs ? and I am so glad I did. They had one happy customer.“

I'm so happy to find a good authentic Chinese restaurant in the Burg! Large portions and fair prices this place really impressed me with their food and good friendly service! We got the Yu Shang Beef, General Tsos Chicken, PuPu platter, Beef Yat Gar Mein (one pot noodle soup), Wonton soup and Hot and Sour soup.

They gave us plenty of sauces including an entire pint of sweet and sour sauce with the pupu platter. The food was delicious not oversalted, the general tsos was perfectly cooked crispy, properly breaded with lots of sauce and some broccoli too. It was a mix of dark and white chicken meat and was juicy!

The Yu Shang Beef was tender and loaded with vegetables, and the sauce was sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet. ??
The Beef Yat Gar Mein had thick comforting wheat noodles paired with a simple yet rich beef broth, scallions and a hard boiled egg. The wonton soup had real wontons with a rich broth, scallions and sliced pork. I was pleasantly surprised by this soup and it was filling! The hot and sour soup was more on the sour side (I like it more on the hot side), but it was thick and offered plenty of bean curd and mushrooms. They make the house fried crispy chow mein for your soups. Yum! ?
The Pupu platter had everything (2 of each item but I only show half in the photo fyi), everything was traditional and my favorite was the shrimp toast. The eggroll was crispy and perfectly fried.
Lots of fresh fortune cookies too. ? Plus they have valpack coupons yay!?

??I will happily return to New Win Long next time we have a craving. Thanks so much New for the delicious food. ??

Update: Ate here a few days ago and got the Hunan Beef and it was really good! It was nice and spicy just had excellent flavor with tender beef and a variety of vegetables and yummy sauce. I can't wait to try more dishes next time! ?

Another update from Sept 9, 2024: went and got a couple lunch specials. L25 Szechuan Combo and L15 General Tso's Chicken. We got them each with wonton soup. Sooo good. They gave us so much food. We were very happy. I'd definitely recommend the lunch specials. Yummy! ???

Dietary restrictions: Ask about gluten free options, rice is gluten free and most Chinese sauces are thickened with corn starch. Don't order the one pot noodle soup or lo mein since it's made with wheat noodles.
