“The best southern food I’ve had in a decade. I had dinner here with my parents (both from the south) and I think they’ll be coming to visit me a lot more often knowing this place is a walk away. The head chef runs the kitchen as well as serving any dine in customers, could not be a friendlier guy. You can really tell he’s passionate and excited about the food he creates. The atmosphere is very casual but the food is fine dining quality. I’m new to the city but it’s safe to say this will be my “I know a place” spot if I want to impress anyone with an incredible meal. The combination of the chef’s welcoming attitude and incredible southern food really make it feel just like home. Ten out of ten I could not recommend this place more, you have to try it. Pictured is the bourbon half chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy, and collard greens, and then the Mama’s meatloaf with tomato gravy, mashed potatoes, and collard greens.“

The menu is packed with rich, comfort-style dishes that lean heavily into Southern-inspired flavors. I tried one of their signature meals, and the seasoning was on point—bold, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. The portion sizes were generous, which made the meal feel satisfying and worth the price. Everything tasted fresh, and the food arrived hot, which is always a good sign in a busy kitchen.
What really makes Jumpin Out The Pot stand out is its flavor intensity. The dishes are not mild or average; they have personality and a homemade touch that gives them character. The sides complemented the main dish perfectly, adding variety and depth to the overall meal.
The staff was friendly and down-to-earth, handling orders efficiently even when it got busy. There was a sense of hustle in the kitchen, but it didn’t negatively affect service quality or timing. Instead, it added to the energy of the place.

“I always get fried steak fish from here for me and my mom. Never had a problem always good and tasty. Breakfast isn't too bad, either. They say the subs are good, too, but I haven't had one yet. This place is usually busy, so I'd call head unless u don't mind the wait.“

“We recently used Sweet Peaz for my mom's birthday brunch, and it was fantastic! The catering was so easy to arrange, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everyone raved about the spread, especially the shrimp and grits, and the chicken and waffles. I highly recommend Sweet Peaz for any catering needs. Their brunch is a must-try! My mom had the best birthday ever.“

She is absolutely amazing — bubbly, warm, and the perfect person to greet guests at the door. Her personality shines the moment you walk in. She talks to people in such an open and friendly way that you instantly feel welcome. Abbi has that rare gift of turning someone’s entire day around just with her energy and kindness. Cracker Barrel truly has the right person at the front — she’s everything you’d want in a first impression!“
