“Just went for cocktails and bites from the Veranda menu. It was pretty windy outside, so they let us sit in the living room. But we still had an incredible view of the ocean at sunset! The drinks and food were amazing. I loved the Thyme 75 and the deviled eggs (perfect smokey paprika and crispy shallots). It was quiet and not crowded during the off-season. The service was perfect. Attentive and kind, but let us enjoy our quiet time with the waves. We will definitely be back!“

“Fisherman’s Catch never disappoints! Our go to spot when we visit Wells! We were thrilled to learn they were staying open year round. We were looking forward to dinner after our travels and last night they were closing early due to I’m assuming the holiday. (Which is totally understandable) so when we showed up at 7pm, they happily made us a takeaway meal for us to enjoy in our hotel room. I was skeptical at first getting seafood takeaway… but as always fisherman catch never disappoints! Food was moist and delicious. And came out very quickly. We will be back soon!“

“Great place to get a Lobster!!! The 2 3/4 & 3 lb Lobsters were cooked perfectly. The onion rings and cole slaw were both excellent and the corn on the cob was a full ear of corn and very fresh. Seating outdoors has a beautiful view of a working lobster/fish pier and most of the tables are covered under a canopy so even in the rain it would be ok to sit outside. The menu had lots of choices and the prices were reasonable for such high quality food. The people who worked there were very nice and the service was quick. The restaurant was very clean inside and outside. If you’d like to bring a dog there is plenty of seating outdoors and they were very dog friendly. Will definitely be back again- it’s a hidden gem!“

“Pizza by Alex is an old style Greek/American pizza joint conveniently located a short drive from Old Orchard Beach. Menu included classic pies in 10 inch and family sizes with classic meat and veggi toppings. I the Greek style pie and was pleased to receive it loaded with spinach and feta. My friends ordered meat toppings and were similarly impressed. Meals are ordered at the counter for eat in or take out. Drinks are bottled soda or coffee (but fountain drinks are available in the dining room). The dining room was spacious with plenty of room between the round tables and 4 chairs around each. Focal point was the massive oven manned by three bakers who produced the beautifully browned pies. Plan on about $20 per person here. You will be rewarded with outstanding pizza in a relaxed setting with a real yesteryear vibe.“

“My family and I have been eating at Mekhong Thai Kennebunk since 1992. due to the nature of my employment, I have had the opportunity to not only taste the cuisines of Thai restaurants across the United States, but I’ve also had the pleasure of eating at Thai restaurants across Thailand. In my hundreds of dining adventures, there is no restaurant comparable to my Mekhong Thai Kennebunk. The staff are warm and friendly and the food is impeccable. I checked, and the new owners are actually family of the previous owners. The menu has been relatively unchanged, and I actually feel it has been improved. Thank you, Mekhong Thai for keeping the things the same and always being there for us with your warm smiles and wonderful food. My kids and grandkids are now becoming your dedicated customers.“

“We stopped at Mikes for Breakfast as we met up with some friends. It was a buzy place and the waiter was great. Our Meal had some issues with delivery of what we ordered is not what we got. We were told that they had some new staff training in the kitchen and should of had someone overseeing them before the food left the kitchen. For the price that they charge should of been delivered a little different than what we got.“

“The Pilot House came in a very close second to Mabel’s Lobster Claw — and that says a lot! The food here is absolutely delicious. I had the lobster roll with clam chowder, and both were incredible — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. My husband ordered the baked crusted haddock and loved every bite, and my mother-in-law had the fish tacos, which were just as good.

The atmosphere has that classic small-town coastal feel — casual, welcoming, and full of local charm. What makes it even better is the history tied to this place. The building originally stood as part of Kennebunkport’s old railroad era and was later turned around on its lot in the 1970s. It sits beside the Spirit of Massachusetts, a 19th-century schooner that nods to the town’s rich maritime past. Between the amazing food, friendly service, and a little piece of local history, The Pilot House is a spot we’ll absolutely return to. Five stars all the way!“

For $8 you get a chewy Alaska roll for ants with avocado that looks like it was sitting around for a week. When we ordered in person they told us 20 min. We came back after 20 min and they seemed to have forgotten who I was and asked me how they could help me. They then told me 10 more min so I left and came back after 10 min. Once again they forgot who I was, and after I reminded them they told me 5 more min. I then left and came back after 7 min. At least they remembered me that time because they quickly rushed to finish my order. Unless if you want to feel like a different person each time you have to come back to remind them about your order and you want to go to bed hungry, then I would suggest not going here. PS the sushi was bland and just not done well.“

Tucked away right next to the pool, this spot was exactly what I needed—a laid-back escape from the downtown hustle and bustle of Kennebunkport. I was initially confused about how to get in (thought I was lost for a second!), but once I found it, I knew I’d discovered something special.

Plenty of shady spots to lounge, a great indoor-outdoor vibe, and seriously relaxing poolside energy. A lot of games for kids. The menu hits all the right notes—classic food and drink options that are comforting and satisfying.

The real highlight? Kayla, the bartender. She was an absolute joy! Super friendly, attentive, and full of great local recs. Her service was top-notch, and she made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. We chatted, laughed, and I left already looking forward to coming back.
