“Pizza by Alex is an old style Greek/American pizza joint conveniently located a short drive from Old Orchard Beach. Menu included classic pies in 10 inch and family sizes with classic meat and veggi toppings. I the Greek style pie and was pleased to receive it loaded with spinach and feta. My friends ordered meat toppings and were similarly impressed. Meals are ordered at the counter for eat in or take out. Drinks are bottled soda or coffee (but fountain drinks are available in the dining room). The dining room was spacious with plenty of room between the round tables and 4 chairs around each. Focal point was the massive oven manned by three bakers who produced the beautifully browned pies. Plan on about $20 per person here. You will be rewarded with outstanding pizza in a relaxed setting with a real yesteryear vibe.“

“We stopped in while on vacation to do some market research, as we work at a cidery/brewery. The selection was outstanding. I stuck to the sours (the orange soda was a fave) but the stouts were top notch as well!! A very relaxed atmosphere and great ambiance. Week will definitely be back!“

“Great place to get a Lobster!!! The 2 3/4 & 3 lb Lobsters were cooked perfectly. The onion rings and cole slaw were both excellent and the corn on the cob was a full ear of corn and very fresh. Seating outdoors has a beautiful view of a working lobster/fish pier and most of the tables are covered under a canopy so even in the rain it would be ok to sit outside. The menu had lots of choices and the prices were reasonable for such high quality food. The people who worked there were very nice and the service was quick. The restaurant was very clean inside and outside. If you’d like to bring a dog there is plenty of seating outdoors and they were very dog friendly. Will definitely be back again- it’s a hidden gem!“

“In OOB for a quick getaway with my two kids. Stopped here for breakfast both days. The food was on point, kids loved the French toast and chocolate chip pancakes. But the service Marley gave us is what really stood out. She made my kids and I feel right at home.“

“We stopped at Mikes for Breakfast as we met up with some friends. It was a buzy place and the waiter was great. Our Meal had some issues with delivery of what we ordered is not what we got. We were told that they had some new staff training in the kitchen and should of had someone overseeing them before the food left the kitchen. For the price that they charge should of been delivered a little different than what we got.“

“We were in the area on vacation and decided to give this place a try since we love sushi. For the cost it was a utter disappointment. For $8 you get a chewy Alaska roll for ants with avocado that looks like it was sitting around for a week. When we ordered in person they told us 20 min. We came back after 20 min and they seemed to have forgotten who I was and asked me how they could help me. They then told me 10 more min so I left and came back after 10 min. Once again they forgot who I was, and after I reminded them they told me 5 more min. I then left and came back after 7 min. At least they remembered me that time because they quickly rushed to finish my order. Unless if you want to feel like a different person each time you have to come back to remind them about your order and you want to go to bed hungry, then I would suggest not going here. PS the sushi was bland and just not done well.“

“we went to the diner for lunch we spent a hour and a half waiting for our lunch. Tables beside us and behind us some tables further away from us got there food before us. When our finally arrived my Mac and cheese was over cooked and slightly over burnt. My husband's food was alright . When he went to pay the bill the manager said the new system takes time we are not McDonald's. She also said are we in a hurry today. That's not the point. That's no way to treat a paying customer. We didn't get I'm sorry or anything off our bill for the new system screw ups. We will not be back for quite a while. The waitress seemed to ignore us. Your manager needs a attitude adjustment. “The Pilot House came in a very close second to Mabel’s Lobster Claw — and that says a lot! The food here is absolutely delicious. I had the lobster roll with clam chowder, and both were incredible — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. My husband ordered the baked crusted haddock and loved every bite, and my mother-in-law had the fish tacos, which were just as good.

The atmosphere has that classic small-town coastal feel — casual, welcoming, and full of local charm. What makes it even better is the history tied to this place. The building originally stood as part of Kennebunkport’s old railroad era and was later turned around on its lot in the 1970s. It sits beside the Spirit of Massachusetts, a 19th-century schooner that nods to the town’s rich maritime past. Between the amazing food, friendly service, and a little piece of local history, The Pilot House is a spot we’ll absolutely return to. Five stars all the way!“

“After using Las Olas to cater my son's grad party for 120 people, I would never use anyone else. From start to finish they made everything shockingly easy. They not only brought top notch food that everyone was raving about, they supplied every last detail (all plates, napkins, utensils, serving dishes and sternos, serving utensils, and even brought signs to show what each item was). Delivery charge from Hampton to Newburyport was only $28 (WHAT?!) It was worth every penny and was also the best deal ever. “I come specifically to Old Orchard Beach every year just to eat at The Bell Buoy. They serve the best seafood and are very closely located to the pier and beach. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the lobster is a huge selling point. Friendly staff, great food, good service, and a mere walking distance from many of the other attractions. I cannot recommend this place enough, and hope it remains open forever.“

“So back in November, we went to Longhorn to have lunch after we’ve been doing some holiday shopping. Our experience was less than stellar. I reached out through their website to Longhorn and let them know what had gone wrong. The rice was bad the steaks weren’t right, The waitress was nice but she never came back to see if we wanted refills on our drinks. She didn’t bring my husband a spoon for his coffee so he could stir the cream in the sugar. It took a long time for her to bring us the bill and for us to get the check back after we paid the bills so we could leave. It was just a frustrating and bad experience. it was just a bad experience

They sent me a gift card, asking me to come back and telling me that if I had a problem in the future, please ask for a manager. Part of the problem with the first one also was sadly the waitress was not good. She didn’t pay attention to us. It took a long time to get things done.

Our second trip was a couple of weeks ago. The waitress was very good. The food was good. I ordered the baked potato without any onion as I’m allergic to. The food came out in a timely fashion the waitress refreshed our drinks as we asked it was a much better experience. I will say the sides when they came out my potato, especially it was good, but it really wasn’t hot and that was pretty much the big thing that missed the mark can’t give you five stars because of the first experience but I will say after them trying to correct the issue we will probably go back again. I didn’t ask for a manager this time Because I just wanted to have the deal done and we were on a time crunch, so yeah, they kind of redeem themselves on the second trip. If we go again in the near future will read again and see if it’s better.

I do appreciate the fact that they tried to take care of the situation as best as they could from the first experience so we will probably go again, but as a few people have previously noted in their reviews for the amount of money that the food costs, I expect it to be a good experience so we’ll see what the next one is, but they did redeem themselves after the first trip.“
