“Just went for cocktails and bites from the Veranda menu. It was pretty windy outside, so they let us sit in the living room. But we still had an incredible view of the ocean at sunset! The drinks and food were amazing. I loved the Thyme 75 and the deviled eggs (perfect smokey paprika and crispy shallots). It was quiet and not crowded during the off-season. The service was perfect. Attentive and kind, but let us enjoy our quiet time with the waves. We will definitely be back!“

“I've been coming here for 40 years always get my pizza made in the old oven. Today the cashier stood there and basically argued with two sets not just one of customers on how there is no difference between the old oven and the new conveyor style oven. There is a difference in both taste and texture. Because of this she lost the restaurant a good size sale.“

“Great place to get a Lobster!!! The 2 3/4 & 3 lb Lobsters were cooked perfectly. The onion rings and cole slaw were both excellent and the corn on the cob was a full ear of corn and very fresh. Seating outdoors has a beautiful view of a working lobster/fish pier and most of the tables are covered under a canopy so even in the rain it would be ok to sit outside. The menu had lots of choices and the prices were reasonable for such high quality food. The people who worked there were very nice and the service was quick. The restaurant was very clean inside and outside. If you’d like to bring a dog there is plenty of seating outdoors and they were very dog friendly. Will definitely be back again- it’s a hidden gem!“

“Fun spot to watch the game, traditional bar menu, we had the grilled chicken wrap, it was OK. Actually visited 2 days in a row, with friends, felt very welcoming! Plenty of off street parking, outdoor patio, which we didn't get to enjoy due to Snow. We won the bar pool, so thats always fun!“

“Birthday dinner in an ice shack in January — definitely a first, and a great experience.

I’ll be honest, I was a little confused at first because it was something totally new, but once we settled in, it turned into a really fun and memorable experience.

The atmosphere was cozy, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious from start to finish. As a local Realtor, I’m always telling people that it’s places like this that make living and spending time in Kennebunkport so special — especially in the winter.

Definitely a unique experience and one I’d recommend if you’re looking for something a little different.

“We stopped at Mikes for Breakfast as we met up with some friends. It was a buzy place and the waiter was great. Our Meal had some issues with delivery of what we ordered is not what we got. We were told that they had some new staff training in the kitchen and should of had someone overseeing them before the food left the kitchen. For the price that they charge should of been delivered a little different than what we got.“

“This is a hidden gem and I’m so grateful to have found it. I got the Monstah Lobstah roll and it certainly lived up to its name. It was so big that I was able to bring half home to eat at a later time. We will definitely be back and hopefully Caitlin will be our waitress again… a super nice young lady. “The Pilot House came in a very close second to Mabel’s Lobster Claw — and that says a lot! The food here is absolutely delicious. I had the lobster roll with clam chowder, and both were incredible — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. My husband ordered the baked crusted haddock and loved every bite, and my mother-in-law had the fish tacos, which were just as good.

The atmosphere has that classic small-town coastal feel — casual, welcoming, and full of local charm. What makes it even better is the history tied to this place. The building originally stood as part of Kennebunkport’s old railroad era and was later turned around on its lot in the 1970s. It sits beside the Spirit of Massachusetts, a 19th-century schooner that nods to the town’s rich maritime past. Between the amazing food, friendly service, and a little piece of local history, The Pilot House is a spot we’ll absolutely return to. Five stars all the way!“

For $8 you get a chewy Alaska roll for ants with avocado that looks like it was sitting around for a week. When we ordered in person they told us 20 min. We came back after 20 min and they seemed to have forgotten who I was and asked me how they could help me. They then told me 10 more min so I left and came back after 10 min. Once again they forgot who I was, and after I reminded them they told me 5 more min. I then left and came back after 7 min. At least they remembered me that time because they quickly rushed to finish my order. Unless if you want to feel like a different person each time you have to come back to remind them about your order and you want to go to bed hungry, then I would suggest not going here. PS the sushi was bland and just not done well.“

In my hundreds of dining adventures, there is no restaurant comparable to my Mekhong Thai Kennebunk. The staff are warm and friendly and the food is impeccable. I checked, and the new owners are actually family of the previous owners. The menu has been relatively unchanged, and I actually feel it has been improved. Thank you, Mekhong Thai for keeping the things the same and always being there for us with your warm smiles and wonderful food. My kids and grandkids are now becoming your dedicated customers.“

“I come specifically to Old Orchard Beach every year just to eat at The Bell Buoy. They serve the best seafood and are very closely located to the pier and beach. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the lobster is a huge selling point. Friendly staff, great food, good service, and a mere walking distance from many of the other attractions. I cannot recommend this place enough, and hope it remains open forever.“

Drink refills were instant, food was hot and delicious. It is truly people like this that keep us coming back, she deserves some recognition!“
